This is longtime business in the neighborhood. I believe over 20 years. You don't stay in business that long by not providing great service and kindness to the dogs. Our children. The entire staff was friendly and I had an emergency situation and they said bring her in right away. That's customer service. I brought her in again for a regular grooming and she looked wonderful. I have a rescue dog who is absolutely petrified to go to the vet. They are never able to cut her nails unless she goes in for something they have to sedate her for. One day I have absolutely no idea what possessed her to do this, but she rolled all in poop. Yes Poop!!! So beyond disgusting, I did my best to wash her and clean her, but we needed an emergency bath and Many Paws came through last minute rven though they were booked up. My husband picked up a muzzle, just in case worst case scenario... and of course, when we put it on her, she was super stressed out, the very first thing they did was take it off of her and told me that I was making the situation worse, they weren't rude about it, but of course I was hugely embarrassed, and of course, they were totally right. I took my 9.5 month old puppy for a grooming appointment after I heard good things about Many Paws. I was dissatisfied with the grooming and won't be back. The grooming session took all day (845am-330pm) and to my knowledge my puppy was in the crate this whole time. The haircut is uneven in a few places and my puppy's nails were not cut at all, so much so that I had to cut them myself when she got home. Sure the haircut is overall fine, but for $129 I expected the experience to be a lot better. The employee I spoke with at pickup felt the need to highlight how "untrained" my puppy is because she rather sit on the grooming table instead of stand. Groomers should be equipped to groom puppies and dogs alike, regardless of how experienced the dogs are...especially for $129. read more

Crystal did a phenomenal job with my 7.5 month old Wheaten; it was his first cut and I was very nervous but she and her team did a beautiful job with a traditional show-cut. I did bring photos of what I did want and didn't want, and I would say they delivered! I called this morning to make an appointment and the lady who answered was very clear she was super busy and not taking new clients . When I told her I was not a new client she asked me what the last name was and I wasn't sure if the last name was under mine or my boyfriends last name so I asked her if she could look it up by telephone number, and she then said, "what you don't know your last name ?!" She was literally like annoyed at me when she didn't even know the reasoning behind why I asked for telephone look up . It's clear this gal is overworked or has taken on too many dogs so I would stay clear of this place for a while . Or she doesn't know how to lovingly and respectfully turn down work so she is rude in hopes that she naturally pushes clients away (passive aggressive much ?) There are plenty of grooming spots in town and its no skin off my back to call around; she didn't have to be inconsiderate and condescending . Her attitude is a sure sign of burn out ! Stressed out, overbooked weeks in advance, and poor quality customer service is a recipe for disaster for your dog's grooming experience and your peace of mind ! read more

We have been going to this salon since my dog was 5 months old. He is a high maintenance Wheaten that needs constant grooming. This is a no frills establishment (no spa treatment/ambiance) but they are very adept and experienced. As with any salon, it helps to bring pictures of what you envision for the groomer. We do receive unsolicited advice at times since my dog is still a puppy but it's not a deal breaker considering the overall results and reasonable prices. Do note that when they are busy, it can take up to 6 hours or so to pick up your dog so plan accordingly! read more

I always go around the neighborhood to discover new pet groomer place since my little shih tzu is high maintenance. I searched on google to find pet store around my apartment, then i saw Many paws and also Judy's. When i first called in for appointment, this lady's voice was a bit scary to me and said " you need to call at least couple days in advance for appointment". I was hesitated cuz she doesn't sounds too happy at all. I made my appointment for thursday, but i WENT IN ON WED instead. Again, the lady works there doesn't look too friendly to me. The store is like those "mom and pap" store. The size of the back groomer area is the same as the front store. I realized that only one groomer is at the back, and seems like it only allowed one cut at a time. Back on thursday, same lady took my puppy and put it in the crate right the way. She didn't explain anything to me, but asked me to fill out this card only. i started to feel a bit worry, so i asked " will you take him out every couple hours?", and she just kinda moved her head. I told her i want to clean up the body and the face area, but she said that " your puppy is moving too much, and we will do our best." I thought to myself that the reason of bringing him to you cuz i thought you can do it....." Again....i still give it a try. I picked him up at 5pm. He doesn't look like he got a cut. His body hair is cut, but the face was untouched. I wasn't too happy about it, but she said cuz he was moving too much. *again...dats the reason why i brought him here." I didn't complain cuz it's only $26, and i just thought to myself that it's just an expensive wash." i told her that i used to cut his face one cut at a time, then she was like " yea..and it will take lots of time.we have a puppy expert, so you should bring him back in two weeks." hum.......she should have told me early enough that they don't have the "puppy expert" in the house, so i won't bring it to them. I don't think my puppy has water at all cuz he RAN to the water bowl right the way when we got home. Minus one star for not telling me, and minus one star for not feeling they love their pet. I will still bring him back one more time for the puppy expert. If they fail, this place will be gone from my list. They did at least of what a pet wash should do. will update my review in two weeks after my second visit. read more

I live in the area of "Many Paws", so convienance couldn't be better...HOWEVER: I have completely stopped using this service for my dogs. The shopkeeper "Chris" was so critical of my dogs appearance EVERYTIME I brought it in for grooming. I was like "hey this is why I bring my dog to you...this is what your shop is for..." The funny thing is that I do take care of my dogs with regular bathing, etc., but because of my dog's type of hair, it naturally has a tenedency to become matted fairly easily. I took both of my dogs here for over a year for grooming....then I became so fed-up with "Chris' " attitude and lack of professionalism, that I stopped bringing my sweet dogs in for care at this establishment. Bedside manner goes a long way, and when you are a running buisness...you need to be courteous to customers. Needless to say, I have found a new dog groomer who doesn't give me attitude. Stay AWAY from this place...take your animal somewhere else....service starts at the front counter....and "Many Paws" has MANY FLAWS with the aforementioned. read more

We had the same experience as the Shitz Tsu. Our dog has long hair as well and he looked like his hair was cut by a preschooler using a Flowbie! The worst cut ever. I was pleasantly Happy with both my dogs at Many paws despite the reviews from "some" yelp. My Shitzu was over due for all the services. The staff was pleasant and respectful. It was a little Blue house on the corner of Robertson right after Cattagarus on the right. It has a store to buy many pet products. Both my shitzu & Tea cup yorkie were fresh and clean and groomed neatly. The price was higher than Im used to paying $90 for my Shitzu, I normally pay $60 no matter the condition. I payed $47 for my Yorkie which I guess is cool it was his 1st time. Overall I liked the service, if the price matched my regular groomer then I would ago more often:) read more

I've been coming to this place since I got my dogs, over 6 years ago. The service is very friendly and professional. They never lecture you on how to take care of my dogs. I've been to groomers who try to push me and say "You need to have XYZ brush and do this and do that....." Me: "If I had those tools and knew how to do that - I wouldn't take them to a groomer.....I would do it myself" When I pick up my dogs, they always smell super nice and are super soft. I haven't found a groomer who makes them that soft. Also, one of my dogs is quite fluffy and when I've taken her to other groomers she constantly sheds dead fur for days after the trip to the groomers but not at Many Paws. To my knowledge, my dogs like the staff. They don't bark at them or look scared, which has to be a good sign. read more

There's just something uncanny about this place and I can't get my finger on it. As for coming back, I definitely will for nail trims but not for hair cuts. We moved to the Valley last summer, but I really miss this place. After eight months of so-so cuts that leave our dog looking fluffy, cute and clueless, I have decided to grit my teeth, gird my loins and make the haj every few months to the mecca of Wheaten Terrier groomers. They know how to cut our Merlin like nobody else's business. For weeks after an MP grooming we are stopped, invariably, by some Wheatie owner or other wondering who grooms him, or sometimes (so sad) by some former Wheaten owner jonesing for her pup whose passed; in short, when Merlin gets a cut from Many Paws he looks like the god of Soft Coated Wheatens, while coming out of other places he looks more like some big, dumb, (albeit loveable) blonde bimbo. read more

Aside from the AWFUL name, I really love this place. We have never made an appointment and they welcome our pup with open arms, have her in tip-top shape within a few short hours and always give her plenty of treats. :) They are knowledgable and treat all the dogs with such great care. I can't speak to the actual hair cuts because I have a short haired pup that doesn't need a trim, but she always looks so much better than when I bathe her. They also do the necessary cleaning that I'm just not super interested in doing (if you know what I mean). For $28 you get a bathed, manicured, smell-good pup. Not bad if you ask me. read more

I found this place shortly after I moved to LA last year and had a horrible experience with Petco (who has people working in grooming who have NO clue as to what they are doing!!). Bella and Tiger come here to get their nails filed (instead of cut). It's about $5 and they do a great job every time. The woman up front always tells us when we should return so that the nerve ending doesnt get too long and she makes sure to have 2 peole working on our dogs (one to hold and one to file). They always have time for our drop in paw-dicures and appear to know what they are doing. If my dogs had longer, bushier hair, I would most definitely bring them here. My only gripe is that they close early (5P) and are closed Sundays and Mondays, which makes it very difficult for me to get there for a regular paw-dicure. If they could stay open til 6p or open on Sundays for a bit, I'd be a perfectly happy, 5 star camper. read more
