We headed down a laneway in Kreuzberg as Graeme had spotted on a record-store on Yelp. I wasn't feeling very well so as soon as I saw Manuteefakur I went in there to take a seat so he could browse without me whining at him.
I wasn't even sure what this place was called when I went in - I only found out because the name is on the tea. It's a hidden tea shop with a bit of a cafe to sit in. You can have tea (obviously) as well as coffee and they have some small "love bites" of the day. I ordered a jasmine tea and took a seat. I liked that it was hidden away but open like a factory entrance for the cafe part and it was just the rest I needed. My tea took a little while to come but it was because he was getting the water temperature just right. It was the best jasmine tea I've ever had - perfectly brewed with no hint of bitterness at all. Just what I needed!
They have a range of loose leaf tea and drinks to buy to take away - I got a genmaicha pot of leaves as well as their own brewed lemon grass juice in a bottle. He helpfully gave me brewing instructions with the tea which was nice. This place was just the perfect spot for a quiet rest after a few days of hardcore walking! Their opening hours are "open when open" which I liked - I was super glad they were open when we visited! read more
