    Do not use them! Should get ZERO stars. They refused to go to HB to service a unit they installed a couple years ago. Unbelievable.

    THE HOTTEST NAME IN COOLING AND AIR!! When the AC stopped working (during the first 80 degrees plus…read moreweek of the year) my daughter called the other guys from a big splashy billboard near our house...the guy showed up, looked at the HVAC unit, looked at lines upstairs and said yeah you have leaks both places... walked to his truck and left...*cue crickets*...2 days later the "boss" of the company comes by and says "Yeah, you need to by a whole new unit, we can go ahead and do that for you." Well, we couldn't afford to do that after just moving into a new home and having 2 family members recovering from surgery, plus something just didn't feel kosher about the whole thing. Fortunately, I had some very good experiences with Jimmy Hall and Son at my place of employment. They always kept their appointments, never left us hanging without completing a job and always did exactly what they promised they would. Now, I work at a church, so I thought maybe they were afraid to get on God;s bad side, but I was willing to see if they treat the average homeowner the same as they do the House of God,and sure enough, they do! From the very first call I made to Ashley to the first time Terry came to the house all we got was excellent customer service! When they set an appointment they either kept it exactly- or if Terry's previous appointment ran long- Ashley called and texted progress reports of the expected new arrival time, so no one was left waiting around. And I'm not talking cable company "some time between noon- 8pm" times, I am talking 30 minute time frames. On his first visit, Terry assured us we did not have a leak in our outside unit but yes, it was old and probably did need replaced soon, but might make it through another summer since we are not located on the island where the salt does more damage. He then added some coolant to see us through the hot spell until he could get an appointment to do a full checkup on our inside unit (my family had appointments that day and couldn't be there to let him in, but he showed up and took care of the outside for us anyway because of the extreme temperatures.) On his return visit we discovered our Evaporator Coil was rusted through and needed to be replaced. Jimmy Hall and Sons not only found us a new one but got it back and installed it within two days at EXACTLY the quoted estimate. No hidden costs or surprise fees. These guys (and Ashley ;) ) are the ONLY HVAC team my family will use or recommend from here on out. By the way...Terry Kirby, is 100% professional and probably the hardest working and knowledgeable craftsman in this area. Thank you Jimmy Hall and Son for taking care of my family's heating and air needs!

    We had damper issues with our unit, and I already had a new damper on hand. The technician came…read moreout, confirmed he also believed the damper was the problem, and said he could replace it. After installing it, he came downstairs to tell me everything was working and that he just needed to adjust some wires. About ten minutes later, I could tell something wasn't right. Sure enough, he came back down and said, "Well, the damper blew when I adjusted the wires." He stumbled through an explanation and then said that he and his manager now believed the issue was actually the zone board, and that he would need to get a quote for that. Then he added, "By the way, can I take this damper with me?"--the same damper I paid for--because they "haven't really dealt with these types of systems before" and needed to do some research. Later that day, I received an invoice for $240: * $125 service fee * $90 labor fee This was for a visit where the technician damaged the part I purchased, fixed nothing, and took my damper with him. The next day, I received a quote for the supposed new issue--$680: * $45 return service fee * $383 for a zone board * $210 for another damper So not only were they planning to charge me to come back out to fix something they clearly didn't understand, they were also charging me for a new damper to replace the one they destroyed. I called and spoke with the manager to express my dissatisfaction and requested a refund for the $90 labor charge, considering the technician accomplished nothing and actually made the problem worse. The manager refused. Here's the kicker: I had Odyssey come out afterward. They tested everything thoroughly and confirmed the zone board is completely fine. They replaced the damper, and the system is now working perfectly. They charged me $300 total for the part, service fee, and labor. Fulford Heating and Air was an absolutely terrible experience. They clearly only care about the dollar rather than quality service and their customers. I would never recommend them to anyone.

    I had an issue with my HVAC heating my home after a very cold 18 degree night. Thank God it didn't…read morestop working until the morning after it had warmed up some. I called Fulford Heating and cooling, and they sent someone out within two hours. Mason arrived and immediately went to work. He checked and tested everything thoroughly. He was able to diagnose that the fan motor in the air handler was bad. He had the part on the truck, and was able to get me up and going very quickly. He was very knowledgeable, wasn't in a big hurry, answered all my questions thoroughly, and took time to explain things. He also tested everything thoroughly before he left. Mason was such a blessing, and is a vital asset to your company. My unit is operating so much more efficiently now, and is able to maintain the set temperature on my thermostat. This was my first experience with Fulford Heating and cooling and overall I was very pleased.
