My husband was admitted to Hillhaven on the 14th of July, 2024…read more One month later, he went into inpatient hospice, largely due to a head injury sustained at Hillhaven, that stopped his cancer treatment and rendered him incapable of giving informed consent. Nobody on the staff informed me of his accident, the details of which are still unclear, and changed a couple of times. My husband called me twice; the second time, while I was getting dressed and ready to go to the home after realizing something was VERY wrong. It was only then that I spoke to a staff member who took the phone from my husband and informed me that he had a fall. When were they going to let me know???? When I got there, I was not allowed to talk to the doctor, who was not on the premises, and they refused to call 911 so that he could receive treatment for his concussion. He was in an altered state, was bandaged on his arm, and had a huge lump on his forehead. In the meantime, remarks were made by the staff about the difficulty of dealing with Alzheimer's patients. My husband DID NOT HAVE ALZHEIMER'S disease. TWO HOURS LATER, they agreed to call 911, and my husband was transported to the hospital of our choice. By this time, I had packed his belongings and was ready to take him to the hospital myself. He spent several days in ICU, then was on the critical care ward. His immunology treatments were suspended due to the nature of his head injury. He probably would have died due to the aggressive nature of his cancer, but he spent the last five weeks of his life incapable of communicating effectively due to the concussion. He passed away in inpatient hospice August 22. I am more than convinced that this accident hastened his demise, and left him incapable of being able to communicate with friends and family in the final weeks of his life. I definitely do not recommend this facility.

The staff is caring, attentive and make sure all of the residents needs are met. Carol makes sure the house is clean, well decorated and has a real home feel. The food is home cooked (and cooked with love and care). The neighborhood is wonderful - safe and with ample space and a beautiful front and back yard. It is a wonderful, safe, loving home. The staff was very professional. It felt more like a family atmosphere than one of those cold impersonal retirement homes. There were just 7 residents when my mother was there. In this time of Covid-19, older persons are especially vulnerable. Carol made sure that all precautions were taken for a safe environment. I could only see my mother through a glass partition. Near the end, my mother needed hospice care. Once again, Carol came through and recommend an in visit hospice company. This way , my mother could stay at Rejuvenation House and not be transferred to a new location which am sure would have frighten my 98 year old mother. My mother passed away recently. I am sure that she was able to live longer due to the excellent care she received at Rejuvenation House. The rates are very reasonable. I would highly recommend this facility for your loved ones.

I had a great experience there. The food was amazing. I want to give a special big shoutout and thank you to my nurse Alina she was always there for me and would do anything I needed, to say she was amazing is an understatement Alina was more than amazing. I can't thank Alina enough for everything she did for me. Thank you Alina for everything I'll never forget the amazing treatment you gave me. You are amazing at what you do. Hospitals are overwhelmed with people, often undocumented, using them for minor medical care. This…read morecreates long waits to get in. I sat in a hallway from 10am to 10pm after being brought in by ambulance. I finally got a room in the ER and within 2 hours was admitted to the hospital. Once in a room, the care was excellent and the rooms were private - this is critical because there are people who snore or are disruptive. The food was very good for a hospital, yet the call in order system needs to be updated to an app. The hospital took care of my issue once it was identified and I was released 5 days later. It is the best hospital stay I have had. The staff were excellent and available when called. There are lots of people leaving negative reviews for things beyond the control of the hospital or for following protocols. Doctors and nurses have to follow standardized procedures, so complaining they did not make an exception is not indicative of the care you will receive. I would not hesitate to go back if I need medical care. I had an excellent experience overall. The only room for improvement is more space for patients in the ER out of the hallway.
