In the month of December a few days leading up to Christmas Day in 2023 I found myself in a position where I needed to obtain another set of car keys for my vehicle. I was experiencing issues with my key fob whereas the vehicle was not communicating with it even after replacing the battery to the key fob. After searching the internet trying to find alternate methods of turning on my vehicle I began searching for a merchant/vendor that would provide me with a new set of keys for my vehicle. I placed numerous phone calls not only trying to find someone who offered a fair price but someone who would be able to provide the requested service immediately. As a result, I contacted Mano lock and key Locksmith. They agreed to come out to provide me with a new key fob for my vehicle. Prior to the representatives arrival I sent him a picture of my key fob to ensure that he had the exact key that was needed for my vehicle. I was assured that he had the right key. After waiting 2 hours the rep finally arrived in the evening. He quickly began working on my vehicle and hooking up his unit to my car. Now I am not familiar with cars or the process involved that is required to reset keys but I assumed this individual was knowledgeable with the serves that his company provides. After watching him re-arrange cords that he hooked up to my car, disconnecting and reconnecting my car battery, and trying to identify the new key fob with my vehicle ultimately the dashboard lights on my car turned off and would no longer come on. After questioning what had happen the representative told me that he was not sure what was going on but assured me that another representative from his company would be out the very next day to resolve the issue. I advised that this is not ideal after having spent 2-3 hours watching him trouble shoot my vehicle and now having to wait the next day to possibly repeat this timely process all over again. He said someone would call me and that they would be there 9am the following day and just left. The next day I got up to phone and email the representative from the day before. He texted me back informing me that the representative would be there at 9am. The representative arrived later and began performing the initialization of the new key fob with the vehicle. After 30 minutes passed he stated that it did not work and he was unsure as to why the new key fob was not registering. I advised that the representative from the other day impacted my car to point where no lights were coming on within the vehicle any longer. The representative informed me that he would call the owner and then left. I placed many calls and sent many text messages to the owner to no avail. Until finally I received a text message which stated the following, "You go wherever you need to go. ..Do whatever you need to do don't call to this number again. And don't text me". I was aghast to have received a responsive of this nature from any company of any kind to get this to a customer. I am the one at a complete and utter financial lost. My car is inoperable to this day and I have to bear the financial burden of purchasing a new vehicle due to the negligence caused by this company. After having the car towed to the Toyota dealership I was advised of a 5k service bill to have the ECU replaced on my vehicle for the car was no longer responsive. The dealership also informed me that the vendor who tried re-keying the key fob probably burned out the ECU board in the process. I am writing this so that others are aware of my experience and to prevent you from making the mistake I did in obtaining service from 615-674-8090/213-721-8363 - Mano Lock & key Locksmith (manolocksmith@gmail.com) read more
