This is not a fancy upscale restaurant. You will not expect table service but they appear to be family owned and we were happy to support local businesses. The order from the counter then sit down. When the order is ready, the server who took our order from the counter and also is the cashier delivered our food. The meals were not bad. Guacamole dip was good. The chimachanga was crispy and super deal. Probably the biggest that I have ever had. They also have value meals. They even offer alcohol, liquor and wine. Their meal portions are huge and could be shareable. I definitely recommend this place supporting our local businesses.

We were…read morelooking for something with a variety and some healthy options, this place fit the bill. This restaurant is tucked in a strip mall right along what seemed to be the main road in town. There are about 3 small tables outside and about 5-6 tables inside. Each one can sit only about 2-3 people, so unless you are picking up to go, this won't work for a large group. The decor was fun and colorful. The kitchen area had a lot of open/extra space so I'm guessing this was a bakery before and the new owners didn't remodel much to keep the cost to open down. They could probably get another 4+ tables in here if they did. Not a negative, just an observation. The menu was filled with interesting stuff. We landed on 3 very different things. There was a sweet potato bowl on the menu that looked tasty, and while reviewing the menu I watched one get delivered to a table and it looked delicious and it was ENORMOUS! I wasn't sure I wanted to each that much so I went with a chicken wrap, my wife ordered a pizza, and my sister in law ordered a "small" salad. We decided to sit outside and they brought us our food and a sample of the soup of the day as a complementary treat (or it was included with our orders, not 100% sure) the soup was a ham/lentil/bacon recipe and it was delicious. My wrap was pretty tasty too, it could have used something to add crunch, maybe wonton strips or something like that. The flavor was great though. My wife's pizza was a bit too cheesy and slightly undercooked, but it was still tasty. If we ordered that again I'd probably ask they cooked it a couple minutes longer. The "small" salad was HUGE! I can't imagine what the large is like and I can't believe the price for what you get there. It looked amazing and fresh. My sister in law said it was very good. Overall I do think they have a couple things to work on but I loved the experience and I would come again if I was in the area. It was an incredible value for the quality of the food and that's why I'm still giving them 5 stars. For about $35 it was an absolute steal for 3 people.

Came before closing and location was closed. It's a hard to find spot also. I wish them the best of…read moreluck although I didn't taste any of the food.

Are you coming to Boulder City?…read more This is a must see, eat, and do! I've been to a lot of different places? City after city, before we left the Las Vegas area, we had to do "Boulder," one last time! Here I am, sharing it with you! If you're from the area, then this is just another example of how food, atmosphere, kindness, the dreams can all make the difference. Now this diner, a must visit. If you're from the local area of Nevada. The state gets truly only one season all year round. That's summer and plenty of sunshine. Once a year, this time of year, late September until January is when it's lovely to be outside. Actually go outside and not melt . They decorate and let you enjoy what fall, and parts of winter might be like here at this diner in Boulder City. Remember small town feel, this is the middle of the desert. They have a year round dedication area to 9/11. This dedicated area honors all members of Fire, Police, and other community first responders. They have special programs and specials to these individuals. This local diner has some of the best diner food that I've been the lucky individual to have. The breakfast menu is great. The sweet potato fries, mmmm! Usually the food is so good that we don't even consider dessert. You're just too full! The service is absolutely amazing. The staff here know most of the locals the call Boulder City home. Parking is on street. Come and sip the best drip coffee . They will save you a seat.

We really wanted to try the cinnamon roll with cream cheese frosting, but they were out. Instead of just ringing us up for the other cinnamon roll, our waitress actually came over to let us know and ask if we still wanted it. It was such a small thing, but that kind of attention to detail and consideration really stood out to me. We ordered the Kyle Burger and split it with the sweet potato fries, and WOW. The burger was amazing, and the BBQ sauce was stellar. The sweet potato fries were great too. The bathrooms were also spotless, which I always appreciate at a restaurant. And I have to mention the avocado toast. I saw someone else order it and it was an absolute showstopper. Definitely going to have to try that next time! Between the food, service, cleanliness, and overall experience, I would absolutely recommend Southwest Diner. We'll definitely be back!
