Beyond the food, it's family-owned, and the family happens to be some of the kindest people you'll find. It's a rare day where one of them doesn't stop by the table to ask how your day is going, or how the meal went. As for the meal itself, you'll be greeted by a heaping bucket of various pickles on the table. The menu is enormous, with all the typical hot and cold sandwiches you'd expect from a great deli. Finish off the meal with a tasty cookie or dessert - i love both the black and whites or the linzer tarts.

Okayyyy TikTok, you got me with this one!…read more I came across a review of Big Rocs Deli on TikTok, and since it's right near my job, I figured, "Why not? Let me go see what the hype is about." Well... I'm VERY glad I did! I ordered the quarter beef pastrami with coleslaw, house sauce, and spicy mustard, and BABYYYY... that sandwich was GOOD! The pastrami was tender, flavorful, and NOT overly salty. The coleslaw was tasty, the bread was soft, and the house sauce with the spicy mustard? That combination was everything! My only regret is that I ordered a quarter because I absolutely should've gotten a half or honestly, a FULL sandwich! I was sitting there wishing I had more. For my first time trying Big Rocs Deli, they definitely made an impression. I will 100% be back to try more, and I'm already thinking about what I'm ordering next! If you're in the area and love a good pastrami sandwich, put Big Rocs Deli on your list. This one did NOT disappoint!

Millburn is the flagship store, so naturally there are menu items exclusive to this location. I've noticed that the hours of operation here are slightly different than all of the others (this one opens and closes earlier). There's minimal parking in front of the store, rarely available. Your best bet is to park on the side of the store in the small parking lot. It's free for the first 30 minutes, but there is a meter. I love that the lot is also connected to Taylor Park, a cute neighborhood open space with a fountain. The 5 stars continue to stick for me because I've never had a bad sandwich here. My favorite two are The Griller #8 (with extra pesto or garlic mayo, depending on my mood). And the Friday Joe is always a hit! This time I opted for the Egg Salad sloppy joe with red onion. They could be more generous with the pickles. But the sandwich is a hit! I always appreciate that if you ask to sample anything, they're more than happy to oblige. The service is efficient and even if it's crowded they move pretty quickly. It can be a bit overpriced, especially if you want to substitute or add anything. But it's always satisfying and worth it in the end.

You can get sandwiches, Greek specialities, and even some breakfast items (pancakes, French toast, etc.). The menu is great. Lots of options and the prices are wonderful. I had a bagel with egg ,cheese, and gyro as well as coffee. The coffee was really good. I was expecting mediocre to bad coffee but it was actually a nice cup. The food was well made too. It looks like they take their food seriously, even though it's a small botega type place. Despite the low prices, the quality is pretty good. One other nice touch was that they had 3 tables for people to sit at. Although this seems more like a order and take out place, the seating is a nice addition. I would definitely recommend this place for a bit on the way or from Penn Station. Or even if you just want a pretty cheap lunch option, it's a good place to go. You can often (but not always) find parking at the 2 hour parking meters next to the shop.

I must say parking sucks- there is a lot right next to, but there was a dark skinned man sitting in the lot basically patrolling. He told me I can't park there after I said I was running into deli to quickly pick up.. I found this a major turnoff. I'm 9 months pregnant might I add and the deli is basically on a narrow steep road with minimal spots. Not ideal. I also wouldn't consider the Area extremely safe so I didn't want to park too far away. I ended up just parking illegally and running in. I ordered (a whole) Favorite Joe, fries and macaroni salad. Everything tasted fresh once I got home and was good! I wouldn't say it's better or worse than Millburn deli - I can appreciate both places having a quality sloppy Joe!! We loved that they raved about everything. We could not go wrong! Not many places I've been have a ground chicken patty burger option so I was excited to try it. They were out of sweet potato fries but the regular fries were delish! I love a homemade fry! I'm not a spicy fan so I had the sauce on the side and after tasting it, I loved it! I risked the spice (it's really not spicy) and added it to my sandwich. Perfection! To top it all off, the strawberry lemonade was just the right amount of everything: not tart, not too sweet.
