Small but nice restaurant in Smithtown. I believe it used to be Carlo's Pizza years ago, which was a divey local pizzeria. I haven't had any of their entrees or wine yet, though they have a nice soup selection that comes with lots of bread. Their pizza is average. When a restaurant is called 'Mannino's Pizza' you'd expect more of a pizza joint/casual dining experience. I was pleasantly surprised last night upon arrival to find a nice Italian restaurant! The service was great from the time we were seated to the time we left. Evan our server was attentive the entire time as was Henry the busboy. Warm, friendly and provided good conversation. Our glasses were never empty! The menu is impressive-we took our time reading the many options. I originally wanted a salad before the entree but who can settle when the appetizers looked just so good! We ended up with the baby artichoke salad and the octopus-both phenomenal! For our entrees we had the Gorgonzola gnocchi, rigatoni Sofia and balsamic chicken with mixed vegetables. They were all so good!!! And the portions were huge, we wrapped up and will have plenty for today. Best part of the meal for me is always dessert so the 3 of us had the doughnuts, lava cake and cannoli. The winner was the doughnuts-they are made in house and deelish. The bill was pretty high for 3 of us but we ate like royalty so it was money well spent for my sisters birthday. Manninos has two amazing pies, Buffalo chicken and crispino! The Buffalo chicken pizza has fresh blue cheese dressing on top which really enhances the Buffalo flavor. The crispino pizza has fresh mozzarella, tomato, roasted red peppers and basil, it is also topped with some sort of garlic/oil dressing. I have also dined in the restaurant and their dishes are very tasty. Definitely will be back! read more

First, I would like to say the food is good and didn't have a problem with it. I've been there quite a few times. My problem last night was the loudness of the music they were playing. Our table was by one of the speakers and I unfortunately sat right under it. We asked not once, not twice, not three times BUT 6 times if they could lower it a little bit. There were 5 of us in our party and we couldn't even hear ourselves talk. One person we asked to lower said just talk louder. Trust me we talk loud lol. When a horn blew in a song I could feel it going right through me. I love the clubs, bars and concerts but I don't stick the speaker in my ear for 2 hours like I felt last night. Had dinner at Mannino's Smithtown last night. Sat at the bar, served by Ronna and Kayla. Service was perfect, highly attentive but not intrusive. Tonight we ordered a pie (1/2 onion/garlic/pepperoni and 1/2 Buffalo chicken). This plus stuffed clams came up to over $50. The stuffed clams was salty and the clams did not taste fresh. The 1/2 pepperoni/onion/garlic tasted off. I have had this combination with other pizza places and it tasted great. Here the dough was soggy, the pepperoni again was salty and the garlic onion combo somehow tasted off. The best part was the Buffalo side. Nonetheless the dough again soggy. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. If I could give this negative stars, I would. I placed an order with Mannino's, nothing too intricate- just a dinner of two pasta dishes( a tortellini dish and the ORECCHIETTE BARESE- A combination of sausage, broccoli rabe & sundried tomatoes, sauteed in garlic & olive oil, tossed with orecchiette pasta), one salad and two chicken cutlets. The girl on the phone had no idea what she was talking about and clearly messed up my order. But beyond that, the management is out of control. I picked up my order- and foolishly did not check it, assuming they had done it themselves since I had ordered from here before. I got my tortellini, a side of broccoli rabe and two fried chicken cutlets plain. I noticed that I was missing the pasta that normally goes with the broccoli Rabe. I called the restaurant and explained the issue and they rudely told me to bring back the broccoli Rabe and they will give me the dish I want. Also I was charged for $62 for food that I didn't even order and food that didn't even come. They charge me $18 for two plain chicken cutlets claiming that the order was chicken Milanese however I did not receive anything but the chicken cutlets- not even the side or pasta that normally comes with the Milanese dinner they claimed to give me. They also charged me for the side of broccoli rabe- which I never wanted. The manager was rude and had no inclination to do anything in my favor. I had to drive all the way back and yet they still requested that I pay them for the pasta dish I originally ordered on top of already being overcharged. I explain to them that I was exhausted after a long day of work and did not want to do that and I should just get the dish for free and the manager just said to me "you're tired I'm tired we're all tired . I spent this day, a Wednesday, the middle of the work week, slaving away at my job, working on my feet from 10am to 8pm. These people didn't even give a snap to come after me to give me my SECOND SLICE FROM MANINNOS IN SMITHTOWN, most likely because they're holograms projected to this world from an entirely separate fifth dimension simulation. I shook my head as I begrudgingly consumed my slice. The cherry on top of an already shot day. The one thing that could have made it better ended up making me feel completely chumped out and even more hardened to society in this sick sad world. Manninos is in a strip of stores right on Main St in Smithtown very unassuming outside but go on in ... on a Saturday night the place was bustling a packed friendly feel there is a little bar in front cozy booths as well as tables we were only 2 and were seated with in 10 min of arriving everyone is very friendly and happy our waitress was a doll she was there instantly with water and took our drink order a basket of assorted hot breads and rolls let me add piping hot rolls so good the menu features salads, meats fish and pasta dishes with the usuals I am going to say their pastas really stand out and portions are generous or I was stuffed from eating the rolls either way the gnocchi with gorgonzola sauce so creamy so good I could have lapped up just the sauce I just love anything gorgonzola. This is one of my favorite places to go for lunch! The mozzarella on the pizza is delicious and compliments the sauce perfectly. I LOVE their rice balls, and their stuffed garlic mozzarella knots! Everyone who works there are always so friendly adding to the comforting atmosphere. Edit: came for lunch today and the usual nice gentlemen weren't behind the counter. Instead there was a nice girl in training and a girl with a bad attitude training her. She shoved my pizza on one plate with sauce and knots and when I asked for a second plate she huffed as if it was the end of the world. My daughter they gave a chicken Caesar salad with burnt chicken, I asked to remove it from the bill and they refused. It was not eaten. Furthermore the food quality was not so good. We went here for a late lunch and were seated immediately. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. They gave us dinner rolls which were really good, there was one that had raisins in it which was my favorite! For dinner I had the pear salad which was spinach, Gorgonzola, candied pecans and raspberry vinaigrette which was amazing and very large - enough for leftovers the next day! I took my three boys 4,7 and 8 after swimming all day to Manninos to eat. We usually order out from them but thought it would be quicker to stop by and eat. It had started to rain as an electrical storm was approaching. There was one booth open and I sighed with relief that I could get the boys inside, out of the rain, and quickly fed. Extremely defeated and exhausted I piled the boys back into the car and went to a place called Ciro's with the boys. Where they were slammed packed with diners but he must of seen the defeat in my eyes and exhaustion on my face because he had his workers take two tables out of the back and set them up for us and made us feel like family! They serve classic NY Style Pizza, no frills. I love the characteristic large, thin, firm, slice with generous cheese. Greasy, in a good way. I love to fold it across and eat with one hand. It's seems like simple formula and I am totally bewildered as to why it can't taste this good or be made this way outside of NY. I'm frustrated by it actually. There are many places like this or better in LI, this happened to be closest. So pardon the 5-stars if this might seem like "ordinary" pizza to the locals. I've been here two times so far for a quick lunch and I have not yet been disappointed! When you walk in you get a nice professional restaurant vibe- the place being decorated with large dark coffee leather booths and high ceilings. One nice size flat screen TV and an extensive selection behind the pizza counter. The building itself is divided (with a semi open concept) into a pizzeria and a sit down dining room with table service. My boyfriend and I came here today for lunch and the staff behind the pizza counter happened to be very friendly contrary to some reviews although I have not yet come across the owner! I picked out an eggplant slice along side a chicken cheese and ranch slice. My boyfriend ordered a grandma slice with a Now for the food review! My eggplant slice was an 8/10 and that is just my personal opinion. I found the sauce to be good although it wasn't my favorite. The eggplant was really yummy! I'm just a little snobby and would have preferred it to be cut a tiny bit thicker. The chicken ranch slice was also good! My boyfriend ended up eating the rest of my slice after I grabbed his grandma slice. Hey- sharing is caring, right!? Now my motto is that you can need have enough garlic but my boo thang seemed to think his grandma slice was loaded up a little to much with the stuff. Eh, I loved it actually! I am very pleased with this restaurant. Today was probably the third time I ordered from this restaurant so I am passed first impression. The food is always good and the delivery is always on time. Today they knocked it out of the park. I ordered baked clams for a brunch I was hosting for my in laws. I placed the order around noon not realizing the restaurant wasn't opening until 2PM. Came here with my boyfriend for dinner craving some good Italian food. The wait was forever...we were told 20 minutes but ended up waiting about an hour. We sat by the bar, my boyfriend ordered the angry orchard. It was pretty cool that it came in a well designed angry orchard glass. The bartender was pretty funny and friendly. After finally being seated, we ordered the calamari, the penne a la vodka, and the white clam linguine with shrimp. The calamari was good but I think it was too big of a plate for just the two of us. The penne a la vodka was good although I should've asked for without the ground meat because I wasn't so crazy about that. The white clam linguine with shrimp was alright. My boyfriend thought it would've been better but he barely ate it. The bread definitely filled him up. I usually absolutely love bread from Italian restaurants but I was disappointed when I saw only rolls coming out. It would be nice to add some type of crunchy bread, like toasted Italian bread. WORST PLACE EVER! My son & his wife took my 2 grandsons there ages 6 & 2. Restaurant was not even crowded. They ignored my sons request to bring kids food out first. They came over to their table numerous times to tell them to be quiet. They are little boys that were laughing. My son would not allow his children to act up. We all go out to dinner frequently. Mannino's behavior was disgusting. I will never go there again. Since covid is over we love to take the kids out more and enjoy dinner together. I am extremely disappointed that they were treated this way. Do not go here if you have children that act like children. Find another place. This review is only based on the pizza, I have not yet had any restaurant service. I usually stop here once a week with my son. We will normally get a grandma, Sicilian white or salad slice. Pizza is fresh and above average. I also usually take a slice of pepperoni to my daughter before she has dance and she enjoys as well. Would like to try sit down service one day. Only complaint would Be it's a bit more costly than some other places (but it's also better). I have never had any bad or rude service as I read in other comments to me or my young son read more
