Maintenance was performed, and the older unit needed a couple parts, which he was able to order immediately and as promised, installed within a few days. In my experience, Childers has stood behind what they say they will do and deliver as promised.

I called Childers Heating and Air on Saturday morning after my AC stopped working. A technician…read morearrived but refused to fix the unit that day, explicitly telling me, "I can't really fix it today because have a lot of calls behind you and this would take like an hour, but I can come back maybe Tuesday." As a result, I was left stranded all weekend with three kids in an 85-degree house (90s outside) just because of poor scheduling on the their part. Childers Heating & Air later tried to excuse this by claiming it was a "maintenance issue" (dirty coils). While coil cleaning is routine maintenance when a system is running, it stops being "maintenance" and becomes an emergency repair the moment the system is in total failure. After I called to complain on Monday, they managed to move my appointment up to that afternoon. However, when the same technician from the previous visit arrived, he knocked, waited a mere 20 seconds, knocked again, and then muttered, "You cant even answer the f***ing door?" right in front of my Ring doorbell. I have this incredibly unprofessional behavior caught entirely on video. To the company's credit, once the work was finally done, the unit began working great. After I called management to report the technician's language, they did offer to cover half the bill and gave me a year of their club membership free of charge. While I appreciate the office trying to make it right after the fact, the actual experience of being abandoned in the heat and then cursed at by their staff on my own doorstep was completely unacceptable.

The owner of the business ensured me that they would have someone out THAT DAY. He said it would be middle afternoon to early evening before someone could get out here, which was totally fine. At about 4pm, I had called for an update but received the voicemail. About 2 hours had gone by and I called again, this time I talked to the owner of the business who came off as having an attitude, he stated he had left me an email that someone was finishing a job and would be out here. OKAY!!! Again, I accepted this and cancelled my evening plans. No one showed up...... At roughly 9pm I get a phone call from their tech. He states that he was just finishing a job and would come out and look at our A/C unit. I stated to him that it was late and we had children that were sleeping and asked if he could come the next morning (Saturday). He stated that if that was the case we would be charged a weekend fee, or our other option would be for them to come out on Monday. This is where I should have hit the eject button and found somewhere else. NOPE!! Instead I said come on out, the unit is near the door and disturbance to the kids wouldn't be an issue. The service tech DID NOT get to our house until after 11pm. He was very rude and clearly exhausted from a long day ( I understand that part). He looked at our inside unit and then went outside. He came back in less than 5 minutes later and said it was a compressor that was rusted and he could not do anything until Monday at the earliest because he had to order the part. He then proceeded to tell me I would need to pay him $45.00 for this visit. I stated it was 5 minutes of work and he did not do anything. He stated that he could easily charge me $100. HE WAS VERY RUDE. I stated again that I did not feel I should have to pay for anything and I would like to speak with the owner of the company. He then stormed out of my house and I did not hear anything. Until Today..... I got an Invoice from them for $45.00 that says I owe them this amount for a service call in which I refused them to fix. This is by far not how this happened..... Beware of this company.
