    Deliciousness!

This Peruvian restaurant was worth every dollar! The dishes were beautifully platted and showcased true South American flavors in a very gastronomical way. We had the bao, ceviche, Alain's Fish, Boliyucas, and for dessert we had the Maracuya and Cachanga. It was my mother's birthday dinner, so they brought a special firework candle for her, and a candle to blow out. It was a very special evening. Overall, I would give the restaurant an 8.5/10, the food was great, our waitress was amazingly helpful and she spoke English. I only wished there was a little more lighting so I could visually enjoy the dish and maybe soften the music just a little. Oh, and before I forget, for the coat check, there's a charge. Bon Appetit!

My sister and I with friends and Manko's proprietor Tony Gomez. What a fun night!!!

I went to both dinner and the cabaret at Manko. The restaurant is so beautiful inside, they did an excellent job with the finishes. This is a Peruvian restaurant with a heavy emphasis on fish. The quality definitely matched the price point. Food we tried: (that I can remember) Nikkei Cebiche - yummy! Octopus - extremely good but they cut the octopus into very small pieces and mix it in a sauce. So if you are not sure if you like octopus, this is an excellent way to start. If you really love octopus, you may wish there was more of it. Quinoa Salad - tasted great and balanced our meal with a fresh finish. Mini Veggie Quinoa Burger - our server suggested this and I was on the fence but it turned out to be very good. Each burger is the perfect 2 bites. Black Angus Beef Flank - by far this was my favorite. The beef was perfect and the sauce really complimented it. It is a great item to share because all of the beef is bite size. Bottle of wine - I love how nice wines in France are not very expensive. I don't know what we ordered but it was suggest by our server and paired perfectly with our food. Contrary to other reviewers, our server was extremely nice and helpful. The Cabaret: Personally I loved it. The performers are so talented and each performance was impossible to take your eyes off. The format includes frequent breaks for dancing and getting drinks in between each performance. We did not get a table because they were sold out but that's really the way to go. Since we were standing the whole time, we worked off dinner by dancing the night away. This place is full of gorgeous, well dressed and eccentric people. If you are not dressed right or you act like a "stupid American" you will not get good service. Think of the trendiest, most difficult places to get into in Los Angeles but with Parisians running it. LOL! I would definitely come back. If you decide to go, dress up and bring your best manners to have a great time.

The food was nasty and burnt. They took a long time to prepare the food. Do not eat here.

We stumbled upon Le Campanella on our rainy walk from the Eiffel Tower back to our hotel. We were…read moredrenched and not dressed up, so we didn't think we'd receive a warm welcome, based on the fancy look of the restaurant and the fact that the menu is only printed in French. It was a Saturday evening and we didn't have a reservation, but to our surprise we were seated right away. They didn't bring water to the table until I asked for it. Service became friendlier after I attempted to speak in French. I had the Beef bourguignon, which was flavorful, but very fatty. My husband had onion soup, which he enjoyed, and creme brulee, the latter being creamy and delicious.

Excellent service across the board. We came in with a group of seven, without reservations, and…read morewere seated after a brief wait. The staff was highly attentive, and very sweet--when a glass of water spilled over my son's notebook he had been drawing in, a server snatched it up and took it to the kitchen, from were it returned a short while later completely dried by the oven, successfully avoiding tears. The food was good, though not mind blowing. I had a pepper steak, which was cooked well but the pepper sauce was not so flavorful. My son's hamburger, ordered from the children's menu, was excellent and served with a lot of fixings, and would have made a great adult meal (I can see why the menu is very clear the children's options are for children!). We also ordered snails, which were good, but not the best--though good enough to turn one of the children into a fan.
