I talked to Steve, (the owner) He said he had 2 lifts for sale, one was a "fixer uppper" ($500) and the other one was "ready to go" ($800).. So I told him I wanted the one ready to go and paid him $100 for delivery. After he delivered it to my dock and I paid another company to have it setup in the lake at our dock slip, we realize that this boat lift was far from "ready to go" in fact, after having a REAL Marina professorial come out and look over the lift we learn that: 1) The current state of the lift is dangerous! and to put a boat on and try to lift it might get someone hurt or KILLED. 2) the in the current state that the boat lift is NOT functional and the cables had been rigged up and needed to be re-cabled 3) ALL THE PULLEYS were junk and had to be replaced. So After another $950.00 in repair work, we have a used lift that is "ready to go" and SAFE to lift a boat. Steve is obviously a conman, don't let his building / office fool you, it gives him a legitimate look. But he using that image to it makes it easy for him to convince people to believe his lies.

Saline Automotive Services is located in downtown Saline, just west of the main intersection of Main Street (US-12) and Ann Arbor-Saline Road. Scott is a parts expert. He is great at explaining what's wrong and how to fix it. Since it's a smaller sized shop, don't expect to just show up out of the blue. It's best to call a day or two ahead so that the work can be scheduled. You can leave the car any time--even at night--because there is a drop off box. Inside the box, you'll find an envelope with a pen and a form to explain the symptoms. Put the key in the envelope along with your info and let it slide into the box, where it's safe. Because Saline Automotive shares a parking lot with a church (my church!) they ask that you pick up your car promptly on weekends, since the church might have an event that causes the parking lot to fill to capacity. Insider Tip: Usually, if there is going to be a big event, you'll see a portable sign for it on the front lawn of the church. But not always, so keep that in mind when figuring out when to pick up your car. Saline Automotive doesn't have a shuttle vehicle, but they offer you a loaner car, which might be even better. Scott's prices are awesome. When Goodyear quoted $515, Scott's guys fixed it for $299. I feel very confident that the guys will fix what needs fixing and keep our cars running fine.

This review is mostly for experienced jumpers that want to fun jump. We did not experience the…read moretandem aspect first hand. The place is very easy to find, in the middle of nowhere Michigan. We drove in from Kalamazoo and it was an easy drive. They advertise a discounted early jump. Sadly, didn't get that price so beware of that. We arrived early and the equipment check was quick. They had quite a bit of sitting areas for people waiting/watching but they were directly in the sun. The hanger is about the only source of shade there, which does make sense but you might want a hat if you'll be hanging out a while. On the skydiving/jumping aspect: The place had excellent new(er) parachutes to rent, awesome views of Michigan which included a lake and the speedway. They have fast planes and take you to higher elevations than a lot of other places. The operation was very smooth and efficient. They ran two planes alternating while we were there, so one plane every 10-15 minutes. They had tv's with an ETA of each load and ran pretty spot on. They had a large re-packing area. The observations I made for tandems: they seem to have a secluded classroom for the safety review/education. they had ample tandem instructors that seemed happy to be there and they must run a solo jump training program because I saw a few people getting one on one help on the ground prior to their jumps. They also had 1-4 tandems in most of the loads while we were there (Saturday) so quite a bit of jumpers. The equipment was also impeccable. They seemed to have someone educating students on packing as well so it appears they are ready to teach anyone at any level.
