POOR REPAIR SERVICE!!!!! Mechanics don't know what they're doing!!! And on top of that it takes forever to get your boat back!!!

I would strongly caution against using this company. I hired them to remove a fold-out couch from…read moremy third floor. When they arrived I told them I wasn't sure if the couch would need to be disassembled or the doors taken off their hinges in order to get the couch down the stairs. They assured me that they were professionals and knew how to handle it. Two hours later they had managed to get the couch out of the house after knocking three large holes in the plaster on the staircase. When I told them I didn't want to pay until the plaster was repaired, the movers were instructed to sit in front of my house in their truck until I paid them. I figured that my issue was with the management, so I paid the movers after speaking with a manager who assured me that everything would be taken care of. Long story short: it wasn't taken care of. When I finally spoke to an upper-level manager -- some two weeks later -- he immediately behaved as if I were trying to scam him -- claiming that I had had construction done since the couch was delivered which made it impossible to remove and that I was attempting to get him to re-plaster my entire house. When I said I just wanted him to repair the plaster they had damaged, he said his liability only covered 60 cents per pound of the object being moved so he would only be able to pay about $150 (Not sure where that figure came from.) and that it was my job to find a person to repair the plaster. (This was after the lower-level manager assured me that they had a person who could do the work.) I'm fine with people making mistakes, but in business and life people who don't acknowledge their mistakes or work to make them right are not worth dealing with. This company seems to operate well as long as everything goes smoothly. As soon as you have a justifiable complaint -- that, for instance, your property has been damaged -- you will be treated with aggression, condescension and contempt. Other reviews here echo that same sentiment and are worth paying attention to. This situation is very simple: I paid the full bill to have couch removed. I have not been compensated for any of the damage done to the plaster on my staircase. Anything else is noise. Let the buyer beware.

I've been a client for over 12 yrs there. I've seen the business switch hands a few times. In the…read morebeginning when One Stop first acquired the location it was a complete mess. I had 2 units which were 1 months late. I sent a money order ( no options ) that money order was applied to another person's unit. In total my bill went from $88.00 for 10x20 to 148.00 overnight. A 5 x15 went from $35.00 to $65.00, Late fees 20.00 on the 6th and if not paid it's another 20.00 and the overclock fee is $15.00...so you can imagine 2 units both late and $1,000 later still not able to get into my units. One stop DID NOT HAVE THE CORRECT INFORMATION FOR MOST CUSTOMERS. SO MANY OF US DID NOT KNOW WE HAD overlooked units and out standing balances. NO LETTERS AND NO CALLS, NO CONTACT OF ANY KIND FROM NEW MANAGEMENT. SOME LOST UNITS/MOST MOVED OUT DUE TO THE ABSURD AMOUNT OF FEES. I recently was laid off from my job and I called to at least let them know I was going to be late. IVE BEEN ON TIME AND NO COMPLICATIONS KIND OF CUSTOMER and yet I was just told there will be 2 late fees and an overlook fee totaling $50.00 if it was going to be more than one week late. My POD was scheduled to be delivered on a…read morespecific date and time, and after waiting all day, the driver canceled after telling me he was already on the way. This completely disrupted our move. Because of PODS' failure to deliver as promised, I now have to reschedule movers that were already paid for, and family members traveled to help unload everything for nothing. To make matters worse, I am currently sleeping on the floor because all of my belongings are stuck in the POD, and my elderly mother now has to spend extra money on a hotel due to this delay. This situation has caused unnecessary stress, financial loss, and hardship for my family. Communication and reliability were extremely poor, and I expected much better service from a company handling something as important as a move.

As the day wore on, the national contact told us repeatedly what the updated times were according to what the local warehouse was providing on the computer. The warehouse people reassured us it was out for delivery and the last estimate was now 2:30, next delivery. They never came. When the national people tried to call the local office they never answered the phone for them. Obviously, the local warehouse people took the afternoon off and lied all day. They never intended to make the delivery. So seven people wasted their day and now we have been scheduled for Monday when not everyone is available. The 30% discount doesn't seem worth it anymore!
