We went for a bottomless brunch at the Leicester branch this evening at 5pm with 8 people and were…read moremet with poor service and management. We received 2 rounds of drinks within one hour (which is not an exaggeration unfortunately) and when we talked to a waiter he told us to order "easier" cocktails so that they would be made faster. Since the price has been raised from just over £30 to £40.80 we would expect the same level if not better service as it was when we've come previously. We waited to see if the service would improve however it did not, we had to usher waiters over to order our food and more drinks as they would constantly walk past us even when it was clear we had finished all drinks on the table. When we talked to the manager (keiran) and asked for a simple fix of an extra 20-30mins on our 2 hour time he said that was impossible and illegal, and then said all he could do was take £20 off our whole bill which was just about £2 off of everyone's bottomless. We obviously disputed this as usually you get AT LEAST 5 rounds in an hour, to which he replied saying since the menu change they prioritise spending their time with their tables and mixing drinks which is a joke as it's still marketed on the menu and website as BOTTOMLESS and UNLIMITED. After we complained to the highest management there (who was named Kieran) one of our guests heard him unprofessionally complaining to the other staff saying "don't worry they'll be gone in 20 minutes" as if we'd asked something completely crazy other than better service from them. We all paid £38 each, and when we asked for the managers name we were told to ask him personally, so we went to ask him and he went and hid upstairs until we had to follow him and ask before we left. We are very dissatisfied and disappointed as we have had better bottomless service from places that have charged £25 for 2 hours.

Nice cocktail lounge with a retro vibe and a focus on crafting drinks from good ingredients…read more Not cheap, and it gets busy so keep that in mind if you haven't reserved a table. Like St. Martin's Square in general its on the upscale end, but I found it friendly and cozy as well. They sometimes have live music apparently, though the space is small so I'm not sure how they manage that! Some outdoor seating across from Gelato Village.

They're offering something a little different here; cocktails with a twist served in a variety of interesting vessels or with unexpected additions (popcorn/hundreds and thousands etc) But that said, I wouldn't consider them 'crafted' or designed by a true mixologist. They are more fun than anything else. They are also quite expensive, for Leicester anyway. The real issue is the location. It is obviously a popular place, so good luck getting a table. Don't even try if you haven't booked. There will probably be a spare table inside, but they won't actually let you sit at it. They seem to have extremely high standards for their customers, considering this is... Leicester. I've not witnessed such pretentiousness in London, let alone in the Midlands. They also seem to think of their interior as having a designer speakeasy vibe. I'm afraid not. It is extremely basic, uncomfortable and cold, with odd display items for apparently no reason, and extremely cheap decor. The ceiling is actually offensive. It does not feel special at all, especially when you've been sat by the door which seems to be open all the time. If you're offered a seat on the 'terrace' refuse. It is Winter now and those heat lamps are doing nothing... Pop in to try one interesting cocktail if you can get a seat and the staff don't insult you. Otherwise don't bother.
