Had dinner tonight with two friends for the first time here. This restaurant looks as if it should produce food and service worthy of its decor, but tonight it did not.
Once we sat down, a ladder was then erected 10 feet from our table, while the DJ was configuring the light display for the disco floor later in the evening. This was at 6pm on Saturday evening, and was totally distracting, and made us feel as if we were in a workshop...it could have been done earlier in the day.
We do not know the name of our server, as he never mentioned it and was not that friendly, didn't make small talk, and didn't offer much in the way of a greeting.
First course was good, Tuna Tower and coconut prawns. Both were good.
Our three entrees arrived, two of us ordered the Filet Mignon, and I ordered the Rib Eye. All three entrees were overcooked to Well, even though we asked for Rare and Medium Rare. However, the worst thing was that the quality of meat. The meat was not good quality at all. There is no way that meat was Prime cut, must less Choice cut.
Unfortunately, this ruined our entire evening because we don't go out often, and we spent half of the dinner complaining about how bad the meal was.
We told our server, and after 20 long minutes he came back to the table and offered us free desert. We declined. He was nice enough to take off two entrees from the bill. However, we still ended up paying over 125.00 for a less then average experience.
I doubt I will go back again. read more
