We got to…read morehand-pour beeswax candles and fill a honey bear with fresh, raw, unfiltered honey--such a fun, hands-on activity that even my teenager and her friend loved. Kelley was fantastic, sharing her knowledge of sustainable beekeeping and the care that goes into producing pure, organic honey straight from the hive. The farm gift shop was stocked with incredible raw, unprocessed honey, honeycomb, and beeswax products--we left with plenty! We're so excited to come back this summer for the Honey House Tour, Beehive Tour, Forestry Tour, and Queen Special Tour! Getting to work a live beehive with a beekeeper and see the honey extraction process will be unforgettable. If you're looking for the best raw, organic honey in Indiana and a truly unique farm experience, Hunter's Honey Farm is a must-visit!

So many cool things about that experience... 1) I used a chainsaw for the first time and now I want to cut down all the trees! 2) We put something that wouldn't fit in our car in our relatively new truck bed... it was sooooo big! 3) While I was there, I bought several jars of their honey (again)! They have completely embraced the "hot honey" trend and are making some amazing honeys that are perfect for a nice "drizzle" on pizza, a Christmas ham or even as a sweetener in your green beans or spaghetti sauce! Their service is fantastic and you're even able to taste a few before buying! Go see them for gift baskets or to join their "honey (not jelly) of the month club" #iykyk

If you are looking for a fun and educational activity that allows you to not only connect with…read morelocal history, but someone who really loves what they do and wants to share their knowledge and excitement, you need to check out Sampson Levingston's Through2Eyes. Thanks to being grounded due to Covid, I haven't been able to travel like I usually do, so exploring local has been my only option. Highlights/ Why you need to take a Tour: + It's honestly embarrassing how little I truly know about the history of Indianapolis and what really isn't taught about the state in the local school system. + Sampson's passion for history shows as he tells the stories, often accompanied with photos, during the tour stops. He is extremely knowledgeable and happy to have a discussion and answer questions. + Walk/Talk tours vary based on location (Indiana Avenue and Irvington) and time. During the NCAA tournament, a special Basketball themed Walk & Talk on Wheels was offered in the form of a Trolley tour or on a Pacer's Bikeshare Bike. The Bike tour was fun, but a bit more of a challenge, due to the fact I couldn't remember the last time I was on a bike. + Ticketing is done through Eventbrite and reasonably priced; however, beware, there is a slight minimal fee due to Eventbrite's system + Tour is about an 1.5- 2 hours, based on questions + During tour during Covid times, everyone wore masks and kept to the recommended social distance

Bloomington is so lucky to have IndiGo Birding here in this small town. David Rupp is not just…read moreextremely knowledgeable about birds. He also has an inescapable enthusiasm and wonderful sense of humor. Bird watching tours can be hikes or kayak rides. I did both, and David was a great instructor for my first time kayaking. You don't have to be a serious "birder" (I'm not) to enjoy David's events. This would be a great introduction for children or teenagers. If you don't see a tour on David's website that fits your schedule, contact him. David added two tours to his schedule just for us. And because others signed up once the new tours were posted, we did not have to pay the private tour rate. David took care of everything, providing binoculars, driving us to and from the hiking spot (which gave us a much appreciated chance to talk with him and learn about the area), and, for the kayaking trip, David brought the kayaks in and out. If you prefer a canoe, just ask for one. For what David provides, these tours are very reasonably priced. This would be ideal for visiting friends and family. My outings with David were by far the two most interesting things I did this summer!

My son loves birds and is only 5, and David was so patient and wonderful with him, and our entire family had SO much fun! This is such a great activity to do for any age group, we got to hike in a beautiful area and check out animals we had never seen before!

We always make it a point to do a walking ghost tour of any city we visit if time allows. While not…read moreghost hunters or true believers, it's still a great way to see parts of a city you might otherwise miss and also hear some local history. While I've been to Indy many times, I've never got around to it to there until a recent visit. Our tour guide was great, she was engaging and friendly with a good delivery of her stories. Stories included presidential curses, Indy500 tragedies, and state house hauntings. Tour was a bit heavier ok history than fright, but that works for us though might be of warning for some. There's an extended option as well. Tickets are sold through viator and instructions could have been clearer-- the listed starting point provides an address when naming the theater house would have made our uber ride easier, but minor complaint.

Wonderful way to see the city. Our tour guide was excited about his city and very knowledgeable…read moreabout all its history. Nice diversity of haunted history both old and more recent. The previous review did a disservice to themselves by not reading the description of what a ghost walk entailed and this tour was no exception to a typical ghost tour. They must have had it confused with a paranormal investigation. It was a fantastic value for the money to both see the sights and gain insider knowledge about the local hauntings of Indy. The only "drawback" was that the tour description online said the tour would be 60 minutes and it ended up going for about 1 hour and 50 minutes. The tour guide in the beginning told us it would likely be one hour and 15 minutes, which was also OK, but nearly 2 hours in we were really hurting as there were more steps and standing than we anticipated. I tipped him generously since he took an extra 30+ minutes of his time, likely just out of his passion for history and the kindess of his heart. One thing you should also note is that the tour does not go in a loop and ends in a different location from where it begins, which adds extra steps on the route. That is not typical in ghost tours that I have done in other cities, so something to note. All in all, I'm delighted to have done it and it was absolutely worth the cost of admission. Pay no mind to the previous reviewer - she is no fun at parties and wants everyone else to be miserable too.
