Circle City Tours is very flexible and will work with your schedule and timeline. I was picked up downtown for the tour but for a slight fee, Carrie dropped me off at an Airport hotel. I was grateful for her immense knowledge of the city, particularly historical facts. LOVED the trek through lovely Crown Hill cemetery, which is not morbid at all. Carrie pointed out the many grave sites of noted politicians, authors, artists, ex-Presidents and the locally prominent who lie in repose there. The Civil War burial section was also very touching. Ms. Carrie pointed out magnificent churches, memorials, art and children's museum, local eateries (Shapiro's Deli=yummy!) and the White River State Park area. We even got to check out all the Christmas decorations up at the Indy Speedway. She packs a lot into the 3-hour tours but when it's over, you feel a sense of accomplishment that you learned so much about Indianapolis-- a city made all the more beautiful than it already is, by the beautiful ministrations of Carrie and Circle City Tours. 5 YELP STARS.

While I've been to Indy many times, I've never got around to it to there until a recent visit. Our tour guide was great, she was engaging and friendly with a good delivery of her stories. Stories included presidential curses, Indy500 tragedies, and state house hauntings. Tour was a bit heavier ok history than fright, but that works for us though might be of warning for some. There's an extended option as well. Tickets are sold through viator and instructions could have been clearer-- the listed starting point provides an address when naming the theater house would have made our uber ride easier, but minor complaint.

The previous review did a disservice to themselves by not reading the description of what a ghost walk entailed and this tour was no exception to a typical ghost tour. They must have had it confused with a paranormal investigation. It was a fantastic value for the money to both see the sights and gain insider knowledge about the local hauntings of Indy. The only "drawback" was that the tour description online said the tour would be 60 minutes and it ended up going for about 1 hour and 50 minutes. The tour guide in the beginning told us it would likely be one hour and 15 minutes, which was also OK, but nearly 2 hours in we were really hurting as there were more steps and standing than we anticipated. I tipped him generously since he took an extra 30+ minutes of his time, likely just out of his passion for history and the kindess of his heart. One thing you should also note is that the tour does not go in a loop and ends in a different location from where it begins, which adds extra steps on the route. That is not typical in ghost tours that I have done in other cities, so something to note. All in all, I'm delighted to have done it and it was absolutely worth the cost of admission. Pay no mind to the previous reviewer - she is no fun at parties and wants everyone else to be miserable too.

He gave us an overview as to what we should expect on this tour. Please be aware that most of the tour will be outdoors, so dress appropriately. Unfortunately it was mighty chilly on my tour and we all froze. Regardless of the weather, the tour was very informative. Loved the background stories. At each location we heard about the activities that go on to this day, as well as the tragedy that happened at the location, which may have led to the hauntings. The tour ended at St. Joseph's, where we were able to warm up a bit. And what better way to end the tour than with a stop in a former church turned brewery with it's own haunts.

Not long ago this neighborhood was in shambles but thanks to some hopeful and get-shit-done type of people, it is now one of our city's best known eye candy districts. Too often overlooked, the James Whitcomb Riley home is located here for visitors to tour the writer's home (well, location of residence to be more exact). A few more reasons to love Lockerbie: cobblestone streets, gorgeous alleyways, historical stone carriage stoops and a tree canopy over the streets that makes it all the more dreamy.

Instead of cancelling the tour and asking us to reschedule, Amy gave us private tour of the Indy Beer Mile. The weather wasn't cooperating but that didn't stop us. We got a lot of great information and insight as we walked around the city. This wasn't only a beer tour, this tour also provided a lot of historical information. We saw some beautiful neighborhoods and historic buildings. The 4 stops we made provided us with great food and ample beer samplings. We were never rushed, we were able to enjoy the beer, the food and Amy's company. She has a lot of beer knowledge and is a great story teller.
