Only half the power was getting to the house. A call to the PUD and very prompt response (and at no cost to me) finally fixed the issue. The lesson? If that first guy doesn't fix it, call another company. Personally, we'll never call Star again.

He figured out the cause of the electrical issues right away and gave me a comprehensive explanation. He didn't waste no time, finished all the job with a positive attitude. However It was actually after a couple of weeks when I start seeing the improvements in functionalities of my electrical devices. Sorry Debbie, I gave you a negative response when we talked on the phone since I still had the same issue with my electric devices. Everything works fine now and I'm so happy about all the services I had from you guys. Also thank Debbie for the schedule adjustment so that I was able to have the service much earlier than expected. Awesome job you guys, thanks again.

Varsity Electric has won my business because they not only do good work, they really care about…read morecustomers. And they follow through. I have used them for a couple jobs, but the best story about them is this one: Five years ago I had them install an EV charger in my garage, which is separated from the house. I dug the ditch myself to save some money, and they came and installed the conduit, the plug, and the charger itself. Recently I was looking into upgrading the charger for a new EV, and discovered that while I had paid to have them install a 50-amp circuit for the charger, they'd only installed a 30-amp circuit. And this wouldn't work for my new charger. So I called them and the following week they were at my house, digging a new ditch (they had to install larger conduit), and not only installing a new circuit, but adding a subpanel in the garage to handle the EV charger and garage lights/plugs. All under the 5-year-old contract without an additional charge! Everything is working great, and I have nothing but good things to say about their professionalism, friendliness, and commitment.

Didn't want to call any of the locals, so my wife said, "Hey, there's a new sign out on Sandridge at Pioneer. Coastal Electric or something." So I drove out there, snapped a picture of the sign and called. Someone answered! Yeah, I know, a local contractor or business actually answered the phone? Hard to believe, but it happened! This was on a Monday. Terry was very personable, listened to my problem and said, "Yeah, I'll be in the area Wednesday. How about first thing? Does 9 AM sound good?" I responded, "Great." If you've lived on the peninsula for any amount of time, you won't believe what happened next. Terry showed up promptly at 9 AM Wednesday! He assessed the issue, identified the repair, went out to his van for parts, and had the lighting issue up and running in 15, maybe 20 minutes. Terry is professional, prompt, answers the phone, shows up on time and gets the job done efficiently. What more could you ask for? Call Coastal Current Electric first! He's new in the area, but he's got more than 30 years experience. Thanks again, Terry!
