When the tree fell, it took out a large portion of our fence. It was a MESS. The tree company gave me a $6000 estimate just to cut up the fallen tree and cut down the other 2. They wouldn't take the wood. I contacted J-N-K for the fence. I mentioned the tree estimate and Mr.Florek, owner, J-N-K, said "that is way too much!" He offered to do the whole job. He ended up cutting down the 2 additional trees, cutting up all 3 trees, taking the wood AND redid our fence so it's better than new. All for $2500. He came on Wednesday and by Friday morning at 10:30 am the job was finished. They cleaned up the area and our yard looks like new. They came each day early and worked quickly. I will use them again including replacing our deck! Call them. They do what they say they will.

They did not use tarps inside their home. This is not a home under construction, it has been inhabited for over 35 years. And aside from the mess A-1 roofing left their workmanship was horrid. 1. Drywall cutting in the kitchen not straight. 2. Skylight supports are low quality lumber. Inspector said they should have been finished with higher quality wood. 3. A-1 did not inform my parents they needed to hire a finishing carpenter to complete the work. 4. The project manager Jake told them he would attach the television antenna to the fascia, he left it on the ground. 5. the workers knocked over planters with their vehicles and crushed them. It is obvious A-1 took advantage of my parents believing they could bully them and do horrific work. Stay away from this company at all costs. They lowball bid and do work far below standards.

Among 4 bids, we chose them since they had the best pricing and because the estimator Brandy (who was also working with another roofing company) highly recommended who had been a former general contractor that partnered with them. She was an honest, professional, and trustworthy communicator who was able to convince me over the other 3 bid from companies that other friends had referred. When we narrowed down to the final 2 bids with almost the same price, I let Brandy know if they could break the tie and came back with a $500 cut to win the bid (the other company felt their bid was already too low so didn't budge) Appreciating that they were willing to price beat another competitor and we went with them. Picking out the shingle color was last minute (few hours notice) when there was 2 weeks to get it taken care of but were able to change the order once we had time to communicate our color the next morning. They cleaned up all debris from the roof overall. The shingles got dropped off the day before. We didn't hear any complaints from the neighbors who verified all was cleaned up after the job. About 40 nails were left in our driveway post job that we had to clean up. I let the owner know know Saturday and they offered immediately to come by on the next business day Monday to clean up the nails. Since we were nervous about puncturing the neighbor's tires so we went ahead and bought a $30 magnet sweep to take care of it right away. Our deck roof awning got a minor hole and our cat's outdoor enclosure accidentally got hit with roofing that led to our cat escaping and a punctured paw from him climbing out where the structure was compromised--but thankfully the cat returned and paw healed in a day. We understand those accidents can happen so we don't hold that against them. To my knowledge, IPros wasn't aware it happened to give us a heads up as that's all we ask. If it wasn't for the estimator's professionalism, I may have not enjoyed the process along the way as it felt less professional in terms of communiciation. The owner offered to come and fix the roof awning who came the next business day to measure the hole after calling him. About a week later, with many follow-ups, the roof awning got fixed! If you want want a high, professional touch of communication in the process before, during or after, being handheld throughout the process in a timely fashion without any follow-up--it may not be for you. If you don't mind a more rough style and timing of communication in the process of the project, but will absolutely get the job done and is professional worksmanship-wise at a low price, then I'd recommend them.

I am disappointed in The Roof Doctor roofing company. After my roof was done there were areas…read moreheavily marred. There are gouges, scrapes, and even cut lines. These are located mainly in areas where extra work was needed. Extra movement is needed by workers around skylights and vent pipes. In August and September, 2022, I went up on this roof with the foreman. I was told it is difficult to replace because the material used bonds with the piece below, which makes it good in high winds. These marks were only cosmetic but to me if part of the surface is gone it will wear out faster. It would be better to try and replace these in cold winter weather. Also, this material stretches in hot weather so they won't be the same size as new pieces. I was told the owner was informed and would call me. The roof was done in early July. The second visit by the foreman was late August. I did not get the invoice until late August and it was not itemized. The crew put tool boxes, other work items, and left large pieces of roofing on the grass during hot sunny weather, leaving brown areas on the lawn. It is now October and I have not heard from anyone with the company. Pat in Elma

And so far through all the rain we had I have not seen any leaks . the gutters all seem to be working now and we all lived through it . if it had all happened at one time rather than a bit of a span from beginning to end it would have been a 5 for sure. the roof should outlive me but otherwise I would hire them again . thank you Nicole for remaining calm .

The roof continued to leak in the same spot and it took many phone calls, left messages, and several months to get a response. Owner came and looked , said he would be back that week to address the issue and never heard from him again. Wow, I can't say enough great things about Cole and his work. I had been getting quotes for…read morerepairs and it was so nice to have someone who I trusted that could take care of it all. Beach Bear Property Services were professional, timely, reasonably priced, and best of all clear communication with high quality results. Outside, my property needed gutters cleaned, dry rot remediated on the facia, pressure washing, and brush clean up. More work than the scope originally discussed was uncovered and Cole found a way to fit it in. His extra care to assure that dry rot was removed and even battling bees demonstrated his willingness to go the extra mile. Inside, my place had badly damaged, and poorly installed flooring that they replaced and took extra care even under appliances. As mold was uncovered, they remediated and took that same extra attention to detail which shows that extra care this team should be well known for. I happen to be one of those '...and one more thing' homeowners, which is hard not to be when you have someone working so hard and doing such great work. Cole was able to more than satisfy my never-ending list: huge shop clean-out, remove dead fall tree, fix fencing, and house numbers. No sales pitch...he even talked me out of jobs that were not essential. In truth I felt very blessed to cross paths with Cole and Beach Bear Property Services.
