The only thing you will hear, are the waterfalls and wind through the trees. From the moment you arrive on Lanai, you are greeted by name. This is no average check in, you are invited to sit on their plush couch as they serve you a light refreshment before they bring you the details of your stay. From there, we were personally escorted to our luxurious guestroom. It is bright, crisp, and clean. They provide a keepsake flask and offer filtered water stations throughout the resort. Room "keys" are water proof wristbands, making it easy to lounge in their pool, jacuzzi, or onsens. There's several small outdoor onsens that are nicely landscaped. How convenient that you can identify vacant or occupied on the onsen path marker. Really nice shuttle is available to take you to the city or other Four Seasons resort near Manele Bay. The shuttle service will also take you to their many outdoor activities/experience areas. We opted for clay shooting (separate pictures and review for the Lanai target range.) Probably the only time we really saw other resort guests, was in Nobu for dining. Otherwise, it was sparse in common areas. If you're looking for a relaxing and peaceful retreat, this is exactly the place for much needed luxurious spa treatment. All the employees we encountered were very polite and helpful, thank you. The miso cod at the restaurant was extremely fishy tasting and not fresh. Pretty disappointing for such a pricy place.

The course was in great shape the greens started out slow with the moisture on them but dried out on the back 9 and picked up speed. The course was well manicured which you would expect from a $300 course and had some awesome views of Molokai. I met my wife after at the Plantation House and had brunch which was also awesome. The next day I played the bay course, I got one of the hot times on their website for $169. Once again I was first off and played with another couple, we played in under 4 hours again. The range has what they called low flight balls, they were essentially plastic and didn't go more than 100 yards. The course was in great shape, the greens were a little bumpy. Holes 4 and 5 are right on the water and make it worth the price tag, but if I go back I would just play the Plantation course if I'm paying $200 plus a round. A heads up the shuttles from the Ritz Carlton and golf villas don't start till 7am, so if you have an early tee time you need a car there weren't any Uber's that early when I was there. I was able to tip the valets at the Ritz Carlton to drop me off.

Negatives: Jimmy doesn't have the best customer service attitude, his communication skills are subpar at best, and his clubs are pretty beat up. We had to continuously reach out to him to ensure the rental process was complete, we didn't receive the instructions to meet up with him after he refused to deliver the clubs 5 minutes down the street even though his website claims he'll deliver, and after all of the above he was sarcastic, condescending, and had the audacity to ask for a tip at the pickup. Needless to say, will not be renting again on future stays.
