I was first offered a 4-week keratin treatment by the stylist Emily. I declined this offer due to feeling uncomfortable with going back to the salon. Next, I asked for a refund of half the appointment cost (due to me having to spend more money on products and hair appointments with a new stylist to fix my extremely damaged/fried hair). The stylist offered me $200-$300 to delete my review. However, when I communicated that I felt a 50% refund ($400) was more fair, they pulled any offer of a refund and alleged that I was "blackmailing" them, even though they were the ones to initiate a monetary offer in exchange for the removal of my review. I came into this appointment fully aware that my hair was in a compromised state due to box dye and a failed attempt at bleaching at home. I communicated this to my stylist, Emily, ahead of time, and was open to any recommendations that would prioritize the health of my hair. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. While I understand that color corrections are challenging, I left the salon with severely fried hair, especially around the front hairline, and a noticeable amount of dye still visible along my scalp. For an $800 service, I expected a far more thoughtful and professional approach to such a sensitive process. What made the experience even more uncomfortable was the stylist's unprofessional behavior. Emily was vaping throughout the appointment and openly criticized other staff members, including another stylist (Heather) and even the salon's owner. This created an awkward and unprofessional environment that added to my discomfort. In addition to all of this, when I went to a different stylist afterwards to try and salvage my hair, they stated that it is "top five most damaged hair they have ever seen from a professional salon". While the color outcome itself isn't my biggest concern, the extreme damage to my hair and the lack of professionalism during the service are unacceptable. I will not be returning and cannot recommend this salon based on my experience.
