This sure isn't a side bun that we discussed when I sat down!!!!

I was looking to get the remaining red undertones lifted out of my hair, to maintain a shade that…read morewas a bit lighter than my natural color (brown), and I was very clear that I did NOT want distinct / chunky blonde highlights. In summary: less red, closer to blonde than my natural hair color is, and NOT chunky highlights. I've included a photo of my hair color before for reference. The stylist I saw was so lovely and friendly! She did a very good job lifting out the red with color remover, leaving it pretty light, and then dyed it back to a base brown color. These highlights did not come out very well at all. My total for this appointment was $215, and I do not feel that the outcome reflects this cost. These pictures are from a day after the appointment. I contacted the store with the same pictures and expressed my concerns and the owner responded to me very quickly (within an hour or so!). She then told me that she spoke with the (again, very lovely) stylist. I do think it is important to note that this stylist was remedying a similar highlight situation on a different client at the same time as my appointment. The owner offered me the solution to either also remedy with the same stylist, or to pay full price to see a different stylist. I am a little worried to see the same stylist (NOT because of her personality or anything, but because of this outcome, which appears to have also happened to another lady very recently), but I cannot afford to pay this price again. The owner was not willing to entertain a partial refund, remedy with an alternate stylist at a reduced cost, or store credit towards a future service. The owner was very quick to respond which I did appreciate and the stylist was so nice. I will update this review if I do end up having a different outcome, but just wanted to share my experience, and I feel a little embarrassed to be wearing this hair color situation out in public! Yikes! Hope it all works out for my hair.

I felt she shoved me off onto another stylist who I have never been as pleased with. However, my last cut/color was the worst I have ever had in my ENTIRE life. The cut is VERY short and the color is dull and flat. I have always had her do the exact same cut/color why this last time she did this I do not know. When I called to cancel upcoming appointments the owner answered who I thought would ask why I'm canceling so many appointments, she did not she just said thanks and hung up. I would have shared with her why but, clearly they do not care. I will not be back. I am desperately trying to get the color better, the cut only time will help it to grown. I am embarrassed and humiliated by the way my hair looks. I would NOT recommend.

I called 1 week prior to my appointment to confirm that 1.5 hours would be enough time to have the…read moretrim and color completed to get to my next appointment for the day. I specifically said that my next appointment was at 4 pm. I was assured that it was not a problem and that my hair would be done easily in that amount of time When I arrived for my appointment I was informed by a student stylist that my appointment would not be with the person I had scheduled to have my appointment with, but would be with a different student stylist. First of all, the "instructor"/"owner" was nowhere to be found. She arrived after the students had independently began the process of dying my hair. When she did arrive she had two clients of her own who had been waiting for quite some time for her arrival as well. She began to announce to everyone in the room that she was late because she was at the "DMV and was the next number to be called". I was quite surprised by the nonchalant attitude considering people had been left waiting. As the minutes ticked by I had let the student working on my hair know that I had an appointment and that it was at 4 pm. I could tell by her reaction that she had in no way been told/notified of this even though I called a week ahead and spoke to her instructor. When time became a real issue, I am sitting there with my hair drenched in dye and the students doing their best to remedy the situation. The owner/"instructor" is working on her own client and begins to try and blame the entire situation on the students performance. It was one of THE MOST rude, unprofessional, and tactless things I have ever witnessed from a "professional", "instructor", or in a salon, period. When I began to explain that I spoke with her on the phone a week earlier, she decided to turn the blame on me as well stating "Well, we spoke on the phone and you have really long hair so it's hard to tell when someone is on the phone". At no point in our telephone conversation was I asked how long my hair was, I was simply told 1.5 hours was not a problem. The story ends like this, there was no time left to cut my hair nor was there time to completely dry or style it. I left the salon with uncut and more than half wet hair. The "instructor" did not offer to fix/remedy the situation in any way. I paid for the color and tipped the student (because she did a good job on the color and in NO way was this situation her fault). As I am about to walk out and leave with my hair an absolute hot mess, the owner says "I hope we didn't make you late" with a smile on her face. I have had my hair done many places at many different price points and have even went to cosmetology schools for hair and other services in the past. I have never encountered such unprofessional and poor service anywhere. It is certainly the first time in my life that I have left a salon without the services I booked being completed or with WET HAIR. The complete lack of professionalism on the part of the "instructor" was truly unbelievable. Once again, I would like to reiterate that the student did a great job and I am happy with my color. They should have never been put in that position.

I had an appointment this morning with Haley at 9:00. She texted me asking if I could come in at…read more9:30, which I agreed to, but did notify her I would have to run to work right after (since this appointment now set me 30 minutes behind). I didn't receive a reply, so at 9:20, I followed up to confirm that she was still coming in at 9:30. It was then that she notified me that she would actually not be there at 9:30. I felt that my time was disrespected, and that this situation was not handled professionally, especially considering I could have gone into work earlier and I had to follow up for her to tell me she would not make my appointment.
