I didn't have to wait long before Bella got started, and she immediately looked at my inspo pictures, asked thoughtful questions, and made sure she fully understood what I wanted (even checking that I didn't have any old color in my hair first). She was super easy to talk to and a really great listener, which made the whole appointment relaxing. I really appreciated how much attention to detail she had--especially at the end. After toning and blow drying, she asked me honestly how I felt about the color. I told her I thought it was a little too cool-toned, and she was so kind and understanding. She re-washed my hair, applied a warmer toner, and re-blow dried it just to make sure I truly loved the end result. That meant a lot to me because my hair is thick, and she was so patient, never rushing through. Had a hair appointment with Juliana last week for a "color correction" that she had scheduled after…read moredoing a consultation appointment almost an entire month prior. At the consultation (an entire 10 minute appt), I showed Juliana my goal picture, and she cut a few strands out of my hair to test with bleach as I was requesting to go much lighter than my current color. She called me that same day and let me know that my hair handled the bleaching process just fine and we moved forward with the scheduling the appointment. After arriving to my color appointment about a month later, Juliana was a few minutes late which was no biggie at all, but right when we sat down and discussed my end goal she started to allude that it wouldn't be achievable in one session as she only had so much time. The entire process felt super rushed as she kept mentioning she had other appointments that day and we only booked a 4 hour session (I didn't book the time slot), and after applying a color remover (which didn't work very well and was applied so rushed) she asked if I wanted to apply the highlights on top. My roots were still visibly showing and I had mentioned a few times that she is more than welcome to bleach my whole entire head if need be, I am not hesitant to chop my hair if it fries off. She moved forward with another color remover that only lifted the top sections of my hair but left the underneath still super dark. After almost 6 hours in the chair, I didn't get anything close to what I requested other than being 2 shades lighter than when I walked in only on the top section of my head, with the bottom being still super dark. My hair doesn't look bad at all, it just wasn't at all what I requested. The front pieces of my hair near the scalp were super bright compared to the rest of my head (only at the scalp) and Juliana mentioned if I didn't like it that I should call within a week to request the front pieces be fixed though she won't be able to see me for a month, I just had a week deadline to call. I want to mention, Juliana was incredibly kind so no shade there, but I paid $600+ to get this done and saved up money to do so and left super disappointed. We discussed on the phone later and she mentioned that "we should have communicated better" and she apologized and said she could see me in another month to get it corrected (which IDK if I was expected to pay more money or what as she didn't mention). The salon was nice, everyone was nice, but I paid so much money and was super excited for this change for it to not be what I wanted and felt gaslit on my lack of communication skills when I showed my end goal from the getgo. As mentioned, Juliana was kind but if she didn't feel like the appointment could have been done in one sitting I felt like the consultation appointment would have been the space to mention that.

TLDR: I paid $250+ for coloring service that was extremely poorly done, with my roots being uneven…read moreand untreated and several areas of my hair being completely missed. It has been over 3 weeks of me requesting a refund and essentially being ignored. On May 8, I came into the salon to have my hair dyed by Taylor. I showed multiple example images and told her that I wanted a bright ginger/red with highlights. I specifically told her that I did not want a stripe of blonde at the front of my head. The color came out significantly darker than I was anticipating and with a money piece I specifically said I did not want. The next day I called Taylor, who essentially told me that she would not be able to make any changes to the dye - including any color correction to make it more like my references. After that, I went to a different stylist for a consultation to see if she could fix what was wrong. She found several glaring issues with the dye job itself. What I got was extremely unevenly dyed, with major parts of my hair completely missed. From the photos, you can see how unevenly and poorly the roots were dyed, as well as the large spot on the back of my head that was missed completely. I ended up having to pay over $500 to go to a different stylist to have them fix the terrible dye job that was done at Ensemble Salon. It would be one thing if I just did not like the color, the big issue here is how poorly the dye job was done and how my specific wishes were ignored. On top of this, I called on May 11th and was told a Manager would call me back - they did not. I went in on May 13th and spoke to the owner who said the manager would call me - they did not. I called again on May 20th and left another voicemail, which was returned while I was out of town and I was informed they "were working on their decision". I called again today May 29th and was told I would need to wait until Monday June 1st for "their decision." I could not be more dissatisfied with the service and treatment I have received from ensemble and I would caution ANYONE against using their services.
