I did my homework so I could show her the cut/color I was interested in. We hit it off right away which is SO important when you are sitting in a chair and someone is over your head with a scissors after all. When I said it seemed too short, she told me that long hair is not flattering on my body type, told me I need to work out until I sweat. When I emailed her to tell her I was unhappy with how uneven, frizzy and not even close to how I wanted it was, she blamed me and "hormones." I guess if you're someone who will gossip about kissing married men in bars she will treat you well, otherwise you'll pay $150 for a dry, frizzy chop and be told you're fat by someone your same size.

She asked me what I hoped for and explained various options and what she thought would be best. After an AMAZING shampoo & massage she performed magic on my hair. She was charged $63.77 and then pressured to leave a tip, which felt inappropriate given her age and vulnerability. I emailed the owner; she left a message saying she would call, but when I called back she was unavailable. Later that day the stylist left a long, awkward message that did not include a real apology or offer to make things right. We will not return, and I'm sharing this experience so others--especially seniors and their families--know what to expect.
