Nice Korean food, mainly mandu, quiet, quite cheap. Not crowded, but near to the centre at the Old Klepaz

I bookmarked this restaurant before leaving Tampa because of its authentic looking Taiwanese menu items. It was such a treat to finally try this type of cuisine. It's a self-service restaurant. Just find a seat, browse the menu, and order at the counter. They'll buzz you when it's ready. It wasn't a busy time of day (about 2pm). They actually brought everything to our table. I'm not sure how it works when it's super busy. Our tea drinks were the first to be delivered. My Lychee Green Tea was so refreshing. It had lots of lychee pulp, and definitely very natural. My husband actually liked his black tea. He's not usually a bubble tea drinker so the tea with no boba was perfect for him. We both ordered the Taiwanese Wonton Soup with pork. He decided to go with the menu suggestion of spice level 2. He was very happy with the spice. I added a few drops of Papa Lee's chili sauce to give my soup a little kick of heat. It really does make it more flavorful. The wontons were absolutely delicious & tasty. It was an amazing amount of pork filling. The noodles and wontons are definitely homemade. I love that there was a good amount of bok choy and edamame as well. It was comfort food at its best. I'd order the exact same thing all over again in a heartbeat. I'm kicking myself for not trying the fried chicken. Maybe next time. The atmosphere seemed authentic as well. The shared tables are separated by table dividers. I really like that there are handbag hooks on the wall. That's a nice touch. The backless triangular bar stools are very uncomfortable. That is my only gripe. Why not invest in Japanese ones? Unless it's meant to be that way so that people don't overstay their welcome. Otherwise, the staff were all very polite and service (for self-serve) was great. I thought it was affordable compared to what we pay in the US. Try it for yourself if you happen to be in the area.

A nice place to eat sushi…read more The restaurant is placed in Kazimierz in Kraków which is an interesting district of the city. When I firstly walked in I saw very little of space but then waitress took me to the "basement" which looked more like a wine cellar, first thing that got my attention was the smell, the smell of bricks, it wasn't so nice but the more time I spent there the less I could smell it so eventually it wasn't that bad. Although in my opinion interior style didn't fit well to Korean themes. Anyway, I felt good in there, tables were big which is a plus because me and my friends had enough place for our meals and drinks. A good idea was electronic bell placed on a table which you could use to call the waitress. If it was just a bit more discreet with the sound it would be great. Sushi that we had was "Genji big sushi set". It was served on a wooden boat. The set itself was pretty tasty, but rolls were too big I wasn't able to eat them on one bite and it was hard for me to dip them in the soy sauce. Speaking more about the taste of rolls, the ones in tempura were yummy af. Even though I'm an experienced chopstick user sometimes sushi was just falling apart. However I have to say, plum teas that we got were delicious.

Nicely garnished on the dishes, then on the palate eventually!!! Actually quite sophisticated taste for the foodies!! Bon appetite! Let me tell you the dishes i tried were; as starters, hot soup (based on beef stock called yook-gae-jang (not the same spelling they have)), ma-gu-ro sashimi ( tuna sashimi), for sushi, soft shell crab was very tasty n we added a couple of pieces of fish eggs nigiro more, and if you like pan fried or sautéed sliced pork meat in spicy sauce with vegetables, you might taste je-yook-bok-um (the severs will help you). And there are jap-che like korean style pasta like made of sweet potato noodle, it is savory! Taste bul-go-gi sautéed thinly sliced marinated beef in a very tasty sauce based on soy sauce with garlic and lots of seasonings!! Bon voyage for the foodies in krakow. There is one more genji across from jagillenion university museum. And it is not that expensive ~ coz there are lots of choices you can afford.

The food is well prepared, nicely served and usually pretty tasty. The choice is really extensive and covers various Asian cuisines (Japanese, Thai, Korean, etc). I always have a feeling that it is expensive though and I am not sure that it is a deserved opinion. The menu is so tempting that I always want to order about 10 dishes (excluding sushi) which would be very expensive so I don't and feel like it was too expensive, even though I wouldn't be able to eat it all. Main courses could be a bit bigger though, even if it was just more rice. Memo to self: order a big binge feast there sometime with at least 10 dishes and take a hungry friend.

We liked so much we returned a 2nd time, our only repeat meal over 2 weeks in Europe! We had two types of Curry, Panang and Yellow, both were great. We asked to substitute Chicken vs the Shrimp or other meats shown on menu with those curry and they accommodated without any fuss and charged us the lower price for Chicken (vs Shrimp) without even being requested. The Thai Soup in Coconut base was excellent as well. The Chicken Kapungi was surprisingly deep fried which we didn't get from the menu - tasty but we wouldn't get that one again. Chicken Skewers were very good. Prices reasonable including the drinks. Highly recommended. We didn't try the sushi from that menu, it was a bit higher priced (for Poland) but I am guessing top notch based on the restaurant but we didn't feel it worth trying that on this trip given we have access to great Sushi back home.

The new interior looked beautiful in the photos, and I knew I had to check it out. It was a Sunday evening. Spontaneously, without any reservations, I decided to drop by Hana Sushi for a bite to eat and a drink. Well, the table I was offered was in one of the two back rooms, and there was nothing available in the renovated main dining area. It was a shame, because when I entered and left, I didn't see many customers. I craved a combo of 'roll & beer'. The expectations were high. Come on! It's a place recognized by Michelin Guide for six years. Finally, the food. The Rainbow Roll didn't impress. My local place serves better, also less expensive. Possibly, I just didn't like the taste of mayo and wished for thicker cuts of fish, or even slightly more rice (I can't believe I wrote that :). Besides, the presentation could have been more creative. Kirin Ichiban, a Japanese beer that turned out to be brewed in Germany, helped the whole experience along. It was light and refreshing, yet had a pleasant kick. Not sure what more to add right now. The restaurant felt very tidy and clean, kind of stiff. The choice of background techno music didn't help. Plus, I had to listen not so much to a conversation as to the monologue of a guy at the next table, who was trying hard to persuade two teenagers to talk to him. It was strange and awkward. He even commented on me taking photos, as if he thought I couldn't hear him, or that it wasn't bad style to interfere in other people's business :). The "patio room" is just a small glass cube. I'm sure Hana Sushi offers solid, great quality food, but I don't think I would be back soon to check this out. I just wasn't hooked.
