If you use a credit card it will aggravate you about putting in the ZIP Code which when you have several credit cards that go to different addresses it can be hard to remember which ZIP Code is used for which card. When you try to pay inside with a debit card that you want to use as a credit card they won't let you, it has to be debit. Shouldn't be so difficult to use a credit card and get gas!

No matter how many patch/plugs I get, more nails, screws or random bits of metal become embedded in my tires. This means I am constantly filling them up in between repairs so that I don't have a catastrophic tire failure. This gets expensive which is where this Chevron comes in. There is an air pump near the car was that is free! The problem with it being free is that people treat it like garbage so it is frequently out of order. But if you need air, you can't beat the price. The rest of the station is pretty boring. There are pumps, a small convenience store and that is about it.

This is a solid place to get gas…read more Solid is one of those terms that can be misconstrued. I'm not using it in the state of matter meaning as that would make all businesses solid. For me the term solid means A-OK. Now that your science/vocabulary lesson from the town idiot is done, I will explain why I think this station is solid. I hate travelling on 22 between 190 and Madisonville. The road configuration kind of sucks and there is always traffic. The other gas station on this route only has one way in and one way out which makes it difficult to exit if you're headed to 190. This location has exits both on 22 and on the W Approach. The issue is that some people like to cut through who aren't getting gas. Those people suck. There are several rows of pumps and you can almost always find an open spot to fuel up. Fuel is competitively priced and I've never had issues with the quality of fuel. The convenience store part of this store is kind of sketchy so I'd stick to getting gas only.

I like lots of pumps, easy access, and working credit card machines. This location hits all of those points. I usually get gas once or twice each day. Sometimes I will neglect to do it on my way home so I realize I need to fuel up super early. That is when I end up here. No matter when I have visited it seems everyone else had the same idea so the pumps are often packed. Luckily for me, they have four of five rows of pumps and I can almost always find one open. In addition to lots of pumps, it seems that the people who fuel up here also have common courtesy. It is rare that someone will abandon their car at a pump while they go inside and do god knows what while there is a line. That is a big plus for me as I hate people who don't take others into consideration (I am looking at you left lane drivers). The convenience store attached to this station is well laid out and stocked with most items you would need. It isn't as big as the location at the foot of the Causeway in the metry, but it ain't bad either. Happy pumping.

If you find yourself in desperate need of gas and are willing to pay top dollar, there are many pumps available and they is usually an open pump to pull right up to.

She then proceeds to key in the number three times because she kept making mistakes and then tells me I can't prepay with a debit card to get gas since apparently keying in the numbers mean you have to use it as a credit card. Ummmm, ok...you couldn't have mentioned that little bit of info to me earlier? It is located on the corner of Florida and Girod so despite knowing it isn't the best place, I often end up stopping here. The pumps are not set up to be particularly easy to navigate. For some reason people don't pull up all the way, or are blocking the entrances which makes it hard to fuel up. That wouldn't be so hard to deal with if it weren't for the odd crowds that seem to congregate here. Here are some of the things I've encountered: On one occasion there was a large group of juveniles loitering outside. I can't be sure, but it looked like they were harassing people coming in and out of the store. They were pretty obnoxious. On my most recent visit some guy in a mustang was incessantly revving his engine and subjecting me to ridiculously loud exhaust. I could go one and on about the issues that I encounter here, but you get the idea. I understand that the station can't have full responsibility for their patrons, but no other station has such a regular occurrence of obnoxious people or behavior. It never fails when I come here that there is some issue. I will probably end up here at some point again because of the location. I just hope that they work out a way to make it a more pleasant place to fuel up.

I stop here early around 6:15am for coffee 5 days a week on my way into work. James, the clerk…read morekeeps the store clean and the coffee fresh. he greets everyone who enters and always seems to be doing some type of chores, wiping down the counters, taking out the trash etc. The exterior of the store could use some attention. Pressure wash, restripe the parking spaces and change some bad lights in the gas pump canopy.
