It was an old black & white image (from city archives) of my mom's childhood home in Philly. Despite being absolutely swamped with projects (I waited behind several people just to speak with him), Tom took the time to make the project great. He sifted through frames to find ones he felt fit the era of the photo. And he spent more time choosing the right mat color than I could ever imagine. Who knew there were so many shades of gray, and that one shade would really make the difference in how a b/w photo looks? His attention to detail--and his ability to get the project completed before the holiday--were impressive. My mom LOVED the photo, and it hangs proudly at the entrance to her home. I called and left a couple voicemails over two days and did not receive a response, so I followed up over email indicating I'd be going in a different direction, and then Melissa called. We aligned on details and Melissa told me my date was "locked" and we agreed I'd pay the deposit as soon as she sent a proposal with the details.
