From the moment we hired Firefly, we felt not one ounce of stress or worry for our wedding day. Who knew wedding planning could be so fun? Teissia is the sweetest, most creative, talented and organized person and it genuinely shows through her amazing events. She was there every single step of the way from the concept and design of the wedding, helping us find amazing vendors, organizing and facilitating all vendor meetings, and providing us with professional guidance in a non-obtrusive and tasteful way. With my husband and I both working full time jobs with a full travel schedule, she made planning SO easy and stress free. Our wedding was absolutely stunning and flawlessly executed and it we owe it all to Teissia's dedication to ensure that we had and ENJOYED the wedding of our dreams. We received overwhelming compliments on not only the design details, but how smooth, elegant and effortless the wedding day was. It was the best decision we could have ever made to hire Firefly Events to plan our wedding and feel so lucky to have worked with them. Teissia we love you! - Brett and Anthony

First, we'd like to say thank you to the other Yelpers who gave Firefly such great reviews, because we actually found Firefly through Yelp! After only one meeting we knew Teissia was the perfect person to help plan and execute our destination wedding in Jamaica. It was confirmed that we had chosen the right person when we got to Jamaica 6 months before our wedding and she had set up a perfectly curated list of vendor meetings from thousands of miles away. Throughout the entire process she was organized, thoughtful, attentive and very flexible. She went above and beyond and we definitely could have done it without her. She dealt with all of the vendors, language barriers, family and logistic issues with grace. Not to mention she was extremely pleasant to be around. We felt like we were planning our wedding with a friend. In short she made the experience of planning our wedding really enjoyable. The day of the actual wedding day went perfect and she completely shielded us from all the craziness that happens on that day so our families and us could completely focus on this celebration of our love. Thank you again Teissia, you are INCREDIBLE.

Jaclyn and her team are the BEST!…read more I'm writing this review literally 1 whole year late, as tomorrow is our first wedding anniversary. I think that the nostalgia that comes with remembering the best day of our lives made me feel compelled to pay it forward (now that I have time in quarantine) in the form of glowing reviews. This company was a game changer for our wedding. We hired Jaclyn a little late to the game, and had her help us plan the month before the wedding happened. From her first phone call with us we knew that she really knew her stuff. She clued us in on things that we didn't even consider (PA marriage license laws, locations of photo shoots, logistical issues, etc.). She regularly checked in with us and made sure we were all on track with the planning process in the weeks leading up to the wedding. On the day of, her team was absolutely indispensable. They kept us all on time (not easy as our bridal party was 16!), looking great, and feeling great. There were so many little touches that I appreciated so much...the messages in these little carved wooden birds that she had us exchange with each other in the morning before the ceremony, the fact that her team was all on board with helping us make my pipe dream of smoke bomb photos come true (thank you thank you for breathing in those colored fumes so we could get cool pictures!), how she and the team helped manage the crowd at our reception. I don't know how I'd truly have fun at our wedding without worrying about things without her. If you are a bride planning her wedding and you're on the fence about hiring a planner, do it. It's expensive but it's a worthy investment for the best day ever!

She understood our vision quickly, helped us refine it, and brought forward ideas and vendors that were perfect for our style, budget, and priorities. In the months leading up to the wedding, she handled every detail proactively. Nothing ever slipped through the cracks. She kept us on track, communicated clearly, and advocated for us with vendors in a way that made us feel supported and protected throughout the process. When the wedding weekend arrived, her team showed up fully prepared and were an absolute dream to work with. They handled every moving part quietly and efficiently so we could be present with our families. Anytime something needed to be adjusted or solved, they were already on it before we even realized. Our day was beautiful, seamless, and genuinely stress free because of them. I can't imagine planning a wedding without Jaclyn and her team, and I recommend them wholeheartedly to any couple looking for a planner who is thoughtful, experienced, and truly invested in your happiness.

Absolutely could not have pulled this off without Kelly and her team!…read moreWhen my wife and decided to have our wedding in central NJ at the Chapel at Sandy Hook, we didn't fully understand all the work that would go into planning a tented wedding. Early on we connected with Kelly at SociaLife and it may have been the best decision we made in the entire process. Not only was the entire SociaLife team professional and well experienced, they were an absolute joy to work with. They helped us with everything from recommending terrific vendors (band, caterers, tent company) to writing in calligraphy all of our guest's seating arrangement on slight slabs of driftwood (and everything in between). With the wedding being located in central NJ, Kelly's ability to connect us with local vendors ultimately saved us a lot in the process and really helped capture what makes the area so special. My wife and I gave Kelly an idea of how we wanted the wedding to feel, but pretty much gave her free reign on aesthetic. We worked together on budget, letting her know things we were ok spending on, and where we wanted to hold back. How she was able to find the most affordable florist with the most amazing flowers is still shocking to me We were lucky to have them helping us throughout the planning, but where their experience was most impactful was during the actual wedding weekend. Neither my wife nor I could pin point an anxious moment or problem that came up during our big day, and that's absolutely because of the tremendous job SociaLife did. Everyone that was involved in our wedding was blown away by their ability to bring together so many moving parts, yet make it look effortless in the process. For anyone that is planning their wedding, please reach out to SociaLife, as we would have not enjoyed the day as much as we did without their help. Since the wedding, almost every guest has genuinely told us it was the best wedding they've ever been to - which, can be kind of awkward as most of our friends are married - but, is completely true.

While the makeup application itself was good, I did not feel prioritized as the bride. She was working on another client at the same time at the studio, someone taking photos at her studio, which caused delays and ultimately made me late for my own photoshoot. On such an important day, I expected to be the focus, and that was disappointing. She did not communicate in advance that she was double booked on that day. More recently, we confirmed a 3pm appointment for a wedding I was attending. However, a few days before, she called to say she would no longer be available at that time and could only do 12pm, without a clear explanation or apology. It left me scrambling to find an alternative. I dont mind if she needed to cancel, but suddenly she made it seems like I was inconveniencing her schedule. And to me, that was very unprofessional. Don't use this decorator at all!…read more Highly unprofessional individual (Karan) and team. They forced a change of plans that the bride originally wanted by texting her constantly ON THE DAY OF THE WEDDING!!! When the bride (my sister) expressed that she would like to be able to make the decision, she was met with argumentative responses saying that they were going to go ahead and move all of the decor inside since it would be raining for sure the next day - keep in mind that at this point it was a 30% chance of rain happening, so this was very premature. Karan was constantly texting her all day trying to force my sister's hand in the decision and because of this, she could not fully enjoy herself the first day of the wedding. He continued to lie about timings that their staff needed to complete set up by and they did not even take down and remove the decor from day 1... the wedding guests helped to take all that down. Ultimately, Karan ended up saying that he would not be coming the next day for decorations at 2AM the night before.... This left my sister without a decorator for her second day with less than 12 hours notice!!! Luckily the DJ from day one came through with a last minute decor vendor (Dharma Events) that was able to take the original design and produce a mandap that was even better than the bride could ever imagine at almost half the cost of the original designs. I would highly recommend going with them instead of having to deal with this unruly and unprofessional vendor.

After everything has been said and done, I could not be happier that we decided to get one and that we decided to work with Rachel at Glass slipper. What I found most helpful was being able to check in with someone who actually knew what to expect.
