In fact, there were so many suspicious activities with our project that a real estate lawyer tells us that we have a very serious case for litigation. Something that we are possibly pursuing. There were so many activities that were suspicious and possibly illegal according to a lawyer in dealing with this company. One wall of of kitchen was completely framed out by about 2 inches unnecessarily impacting the whole kitchen layout. He covered it up by removing the trims on the cabinets next to walls so now those cabinets do not function the way Dura Supreme cabinets were designed to. Additionally, I lost valuable square footage in my kitchen. What was his gain for doing so? Additional work = additional fees. He did this where ever he could with our project. I figure the upcharge for things unnecessary was about 1/3 of our total project cost. But worst after finally finishing after one year from starting, we are left with things to pick up after because work was not done correctly in the first place. Steve Elliott Construction's skills are sub-par. He did not use licensed subs for anything, not even for electrical. The tiling work on the floor does not line up and looks like a do it yourself job. The only thing this company has is that their cabinet installer is good. So if you only need a cabinet installer, they worked closely with The Cabinet Center who might set you up with them. But if you need anything else done in your remodel, I caution you to check out his work and ask for references even though in your meetings with them, they may have sold you.

That bathroom looked similar to our old bathroom with '90's flourescent light soffits and a big bathtub unit that dominated too much of the corner. My husband and I went to EG Custom's showroom which is across Home Depot's parking lot and was impressed with the staff. We soon met the owner Edgar who was very impressive with his knowledge and had great ideas. Photos of his previous projects had a lot of contemporary wow factor to them which we liked. Long story short, Edgar's team was very good, neat, hardworking throughout our bathroom remodel. In the office, Tashi and Corina were helpful with the computer renderings of project and had very helpful design ideas that helped us a great deal. Communication is key for us and Edgar and his team were always responsive to our questions and concerns. We felt the pricing was fair for such quality work. We did have changes along the way which Edgar easily dealt with. We were so pleased with the project that we expanded the remodel work into the master bedroom and living room. I went through several interviews and quotes with other renovation companies, and it wasn't a good experience, at all. finally called Edgar the owner of EG Custom Construction. Edgar invited me to come to his showroom in Stockton. I was surprised how young Edgar was, but even more surprised how knowledgeable he was. We made an appointment and Edgar was very professional even throughout the whole process. He made some amazing suggestions and keep saying this is going to look good. Well, he was right. The house totally looks unrecognizable from before. But the biggest things were again how professional he was throughout, so responsive to text or calls, able to alter ideas, great suggestions, good pricing, and the crew were just as awesome. Doing a renovation can be stressful especially if your doing a total renovation, but if you don't want the stress, have peace of mind at a good price, EG Custom Construction is totally for you. Have hired Ramon and his crew for two jobs now and will not hesitate to hire again in the future…read more First job was small exterior plaster repair and paint (that required matching); the repair was great and they matched and blended the paint so well, you can't tell where the repaired section ends and rest of wall begins. Second job was remodel of 3rd bedroom/home office. Complete retexturing, paint, baseboards, barn door installation, closet door replacement, and custom closet shelving. Job took a little longer than originally quoted due to winter weather/humidity causing texture to take longer than normal to dry, but communication was on point every day to let us what would be done and when.
