I always get chills driving thru Surfside on Collins Ave and 87th...remembering the tragic collapse…read moreof the 12 story Champlain Towers condo building killing 98 people at 1:14 am. Most were asleep at that time. This was national news for weeks. Only three individuals were pulled alive from the debris in the immediate aftermath. It was very upsetting to us as we live very close by there and frequently drive by. This happened 4 years ago. There is a new building going up now. Surfside is a small one-square mile oceanfront area that is a walkable, residential beach town located between Miami Beach and Bal Harbour. It is known for its quiet, family-friendly atmosphere, pristine beaches, luxury oceanfront condos and charming downtown with unique shops and restaurants. It offers a mix of luxury and small-town appeal, with beautiful parks, and public art installations like the "turtles" on a corner of Collins Ave. It is so pretty there during the Christmas season with all the lights up. Many tourists stay in Surfside instead of South Beach because it is more peaceful and quiet.

That is why turtle art features outside. This multi-purpose Community Center was built with amenities that include a recreational pool with lap lanes, plunge pool and slide, children's activity pool, and Jacuzzi. Additional amenities include two multipurpose rooms to host a variety of activities and programs for all ages. It is also equipped with locker room facilities, family restrooms, and a first aid station. To the east of the center is a green space, the perfect setting for party rentals and community events. Enjoy a snack or bite to eat at the onsite snack bar and grill. Since the opening in June 2011, the Community Center is home to the Parks and Recreation and Tourist Bureau administrative offices.

When I had follow up questions, she responded condescendingly, as if I should already know. The other lady I interacted with also at the front desk I guess wasn't as rude but just seemed bothered with my son. He was next to me just looking around and sort of walking, not making any noise or even speaking she quickly told him to stay still because this wasn't a place to walk? I've also been for the children's programs they have two, one on Mondays for smaller children up until three years old and then they have one on Wednesdays for children three till five I believe. The one on Wednesday was terrible they put the children in a tiny room with barely any space and all they do is give them a piece of paper to color and that's pretty much it. The gentleman who was in charge was very kind though, complete opposite from the staff upfront. I'll never understand why people who hate customer service decide to work at front desks...

I was on a look out for a quiet place where I could work with better internet connectivity. Unfortunately this is second such spot where it was difficult to find an internet connection expect for a hard two bar connection. Later, I realised that it had to do with my laptop which was quite old and had just 2.5 ghz of wifi connectivity. Whereas, nowadays it's all about 5 ghz. So, my bad! I would definitely recommend this place and do not go for the sign boards at the parking as anyone wishing to spend time at this library has the privilege to park your vehicle for free of cost. This library is well arranged as all the furniture's are aesthetically placed based on user requirements. They do have small kiosks for working or studying in groups too. The library management system in this country is thumbs up!

This location I has parking outside and the inside is really clean and spacious. The employees are super friendly which is a plus for me as there's nothing horrible to have someone not greet you or have an angry face. It was very pleasant for me. Feel free to come drop off your packages if you're in the area.

Whenever I have gone inside to drop off PREPAID packages to the counter, I always get dirty looks from the people who have been standing in line for a long time. It looks like I'm trying to crowd ahead of others. It gives me the creeps. Unfortunately, there is no designated spot to drop your package off except to immediately go left to the counter after you enter. Once the postal lady finally looks at you, you loudly have to say "Prepaid," and she points to the counter without saying a word. Then carefully go around the angry people in line and get the heck out of there. If you go to the USPS website, they urge you to USE their prepaid service because it is quicker and easier, with no standing in long lines! But when you get to any post office, there are NO SIGNS where to place your package. This is a problem at every post office that I have tried. The counter area is usually a non-supervised place. I don't want my packages to be stolen or lost or forgotten. Then you have a whole set of new problems. I definitely do not enjoy going to a post office to mail anything. I won't even mention the attitudes of some of the employees.
