I was overwhelmed…read morewith the amount of things that he had and decided that an estate sale might be a good route to go. I used Yelp to contact Poof Estate Services and quickly got a response. I made a consultation appointment and received a few emails with a lot of good information regarding estate sales and how to be prepared for the consultation. Was told to start putting in piles things that we want to keep versus things that could be sold in an estate sale. The day of the consultation, Allison came and was very approachable and friendly. However, she told us that since we did not have over $10,000 worth of stuff to sell, that doing an estate sale would essentially not be worth their time. I was a bit annoyed that this information just wasn't shared upfront. I get some people have hidden treasures, but I could've told the initial contact person that I highly doubt we have $10,000 worth of things to sell. Allison gave us a piece of paper that spoke about what we can do now that an estate sale with them is not possible. Suggestions of using Facebook marketplace, donating items, and trashing companies that they have worked with in the past. Again, she was super sweet and knowledgeable regarding her craft. But I wish I knew all this before, even having a consultation, felt like a waste.

It has taken me a while to write this review because I just can't wrap my head around what…read morehappened. We were told there would be five people from Senet working the sale. In mine and others observations there were two. Both were in the living room. No one was attending the upper level, the lower level or the garage. We had two bedroom sets for sale. My witness told me that the people who bought the dressers were told to just empty the contents on the floor and that's what happened. In the garage, which was packed, nothing was displayed. Paul referred to the items in the garage as " the junk you guys brought over" this was not junk. There was crystal, vintage still in box, holiday decor, and many more items of value in my opinion.Nothing was unwrapped, and there were several broken pieces thrown about the garage along with a lot of garbage, even though there was a garbage can right there. Many items in the garage were new in original packaging, unused. We found several empty boxes with no contents.I personally wrapped all these items myself. I felt there was a total lack of respect for the property and contents of the house. We did not sign up for the clean out but the condition this house was horrendous. I have pictures backing everything up. Paul and Ashley were nice but in my opinion, we were totally misled. It's the opinion of myself and other family members that may be 15 to 20% of items were priced.. I'd say maybe 20% of the contents of this packed try level home were displayed. If I had to do it all over again, I would not hire this company. I also felt like and it's my opinion, hardly any research was done on these items since they were still wrapped, , in drawers. It's been a couple months and still trying to get all the broken glass from the basement that's embedded in the carpeting because of lack of care and supervision. The pool table was not listed on the list of items sold even though it was sold. We had to ask about it and Paul stated he forgot to put it on the list. It just makes wonder how many items were accidentally omitted from the list.

Review from a Homeowner/Seller…read more We had an excellent experience working with Aaron's Estate Sales, and we are truly grateful we trusted our instincts and chose them. While we were aware of some controversy and mixed reviews going in (which naturally gave us pause as homeowners) meeting in person with the team and better understanding their model, quickly put us at ease. From start to finish, the process exceeded our expectations. Sara, the team leader on our sale, was absolutely outstanding. She was an exceptional communicator, incredibly patient, and very knowledgeable. The entire team working over the two-weekend sale were fabulously attentive and helpful. Sara's professionalism and calm guidance made what could have been a stressful situation feel organized, thoughtful, and even enjoyable. She clearly cared about both our goals as new homeowners and the overall experience for buyers. When we acquired the home, it was filled with remarkable antiques, and we had factored the potential revenue from an estate sale into our plans for an extensive (and costly) historic renovation. Timing was also critical--we needed everything cleared quickly, but we were committed to ensuring that nothing of value was unnecessarily discarded. Just as important, we wanted the sale to feel welcoming and positive for shoppers, neighbors, and anyone from our community stopping by to appreciate the home. Much of the criticism we've seen about Aaron's centers around pricing. From our perspective as sellers, the results speak for themselves: approximately 95% of the inventory sold, across more than 1,000 transactions. With that volume, it's unrealistic to expect perfect pricing on every item. Most pieces were priced at or slightly below retail, and as the sale progressed, prices were reduced as needed to ensure items moved. That's simply how a successful estate sale works: pricing adjusts based on demand. Items that buyers felt were worth a premium sold early, and others sold once discounted. In the end, nearly everything found a new home. Some vocal critics (but supporters of our home restoration project) reached out hoping we would not recommend Aaron's. While we understand their desire to purchase antiques at rock-bottom prices for resale, that approach would have significantly reduced the revenue we needed to reinvest in the home. Even so, we saw many items quickly reappear on Facebook Marketplace at higher prices...proof that great finds and profitable deals were still made. As sellers, we exceeded our goals, and as homeowners, we'll always look back on this experience fondly. Aaron's Estate Sales, and especially Sara, played a huge role in making that happen. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Aaron's employee actually looked it up on ebay as I was standing there, lol. I have no problem paying a little above scrap prices for what was clearly unmarked, used autoparts but their items were Priced as if they didnt want to sell anything. I cant imagine the homeowner that hired them will be happy with the return. It makes more sense to sell at a reasonable price during the entirity of the sale instead of heavy markdowns on the last day.
