Both projects were done well and to our complete satisfaction. Planning with Jen, communication with Tracey, and oversight by Joe were excellent. The workmanship was great, and the workers themselves extended themselves to insure our complete satisfaction. We actually enjoyed having them around. There's one more project in our future, and we'll definitely use Newmyer.

The bathroom is small and increasing the size was not an option, so we weren't sure that "rearranging" the space would get us the bigger shower that we were hoping for, but Aimee (the designer) came out and took measurements and later presented us with a layout that would accomplish our goal. The finished product not only provides us with a bigger shower but it is absolutely gorgeous. There were some "hiccups" along the way, some major and some lesser so, but Aimee and Lauren (the scheduler) were reassuring and professional, and every issue was addressed. The crew always arrived when scheduled and, because of their professionalism and thoughtfulness we were not inconvenienced anywhere near as much as might be expected when you are living in the home during a construction project. I would definitely recommend Newmyer Kitchen and Bath to our friends and neighbors.

Justin Thank You!…read more I have had the pleasure of working with Justin for over 18 years, and he is always the first person I call when starting a new project. In fact, one of the first things I do is put him on retainer because I know how invaluable his expertise will be throughout the process. Justin's ability to understand spatial planning and completely reimagine the footprint of an existing home is truly remarkable. He has an incredible eye for design, impeccable taste, and a unique ability to see possibilities in a space that others might overlook. One of the qualities I appreciate most about Justin is his honesty. He is never afraid to tell me what he really thinks, and he will not compromise the integrity of a design simply to agree with me. I have come to value and trust that honesty because I know his recommendations always come from a place of experience, thoughtfulness, and a genuine commitment to creating something exceptional. What also sets Justin apart is that I don't believe he has one particular design aesthetic that he tries to impose on his clients. Instead, he takes the time to truly understand how I want a home to look and, just as importantly, how I want it to feel. He listens, interprets my vision, and then uses his incredible talent to bring it to life, often in ways I could never have imagined myself. After more than 18 years of working together, I can confidently say that Justin's talent, creativity, and integrity are why I continue to turn to him project after project. I can't imagine taking on a renovation or design project without him

On the third call I asked if anyone still made/installed laminate countertops and was given the phone number for The Kitchen Top Shop. We called and drove down to their showroom on 8 Mile Rd that afternoon. Long story short- a family owned business with the second generation taking over. An enormous selection of laminates from the two industry leaders, Formica and Wilsonart. We worked with John for both sales and installation. John was just great to work with! The countertops were part of a series of upgrades we were doing in our home and we wanted them to go well with new flooring and paint. John showed us an undermount sink by Karran, which we didn't even know was possible with laminate. We did a couple of other tweaks to our original project and still thought the pricing was very good. (We recommend spending the extra money for the decorative edging!) It took us a while to choose a laminate pattern, but once we did John got the materials ordered and had everything ready to install just two weeks after we provided the pattern information. The installation went extremely well! John brought along Mitchell as his helper. The two of them had the plumbing disconnected and our old countertops removed in short order. The final trimming and customization of the countertops was done on site to ensure that all the pieces fit perfectly and the faucet and electrical outlets went exactly where we wanted them. The project included the installation of a new garbage disposal, and John cleaned up the plumbing layout under the sink to allow for better access and more room. Mitchell is a wizard with the caulking gun, and cleanup was very thorough. The finished product is nothing short of spectacular. The new countertops have really transformed our kitchen. One of our neighbors came over and was certain we had gotten real stone put in. Everything looks great and is working perfectly. Good pricing, great craftsmanship, and super nice people to work with. Highly recommended!!

Service Requested = FAIL Quality = FAIL…read moreValue = AVERAGE (but see above) I wanted to buy local. Unfortunately my experience with Cabinetek has been very unsatisfactory. My order was fraught with mistakes and bad workmanship (from their supplier, Pioneer Cabinet). After specifying my requirements in adequate detail, the proposal was missing all detail including product, dimensions and finishes. I had to get it redone again to correct the terms of sale. Price was in line with other kitchen suppliers. The order was later than promised. I paid the entire invoice before opening the packaging...duh. I went to pick up my order but there were major flaws in the millwork and sawdust in the finish. The nice employees had given the hinges from my order to another customer whose order was deficient. They said the shop would bore the holes for the hinges, but alas they hadn't. So they blamed it on the supplier, Pioneer. You would think that a professional company that was customer oriented would be interested in insuring a quick turn-around to try to fix a bad situation. Not in this case. I wouldn't be writing this if I felt they were actually putting in a good effort to help me. It's like they got paid and have no interest in this. I would strongly recommend you avoid this company!
