It was 4:30pm on a Friday and I had no clue what to do next. Luckily my cleaning service, recommended that I call Jeff from Restoration 1 of Troy. He swooped in like a superhero and turned this disaster into a distant memory. His team showed up at 10pm that night and magically, the smell was gone, the floors were clean and the air was breathable again. They are fully insured and I felt comfortable going home to sleep, while they worked thru the night. They left a few fans to make sure all the water dried up and explained how to file an insurance claim. My insurance adjuster approved that bill right away, he even mentioned that their charges were below or at the pre-approved amounts. When disaster strikes you need a cool head and a can do attitude and that is exactly what this team brings to the table. Big thanks from our entire office.

I messaged the owner to express concern that nothing has happened and I would like a new project manager or somebody else to take over the project since my current people are not doing anything And nothing has been done since the mitigation. i've been super patient and understanding of circumstances but common its been soooo long! He says he will call me. Never did. So I wait a while and then I decide to text the owner (it was a freaking nice text! but I did express some disappointment with how his company was handling our claim) to let him know we are just going to go in a different direction with a new company, and his response wasnt an apologetic text, or a call to apologize for the way his company handled my claim. They were fast at first, but once the cleanup ended, the "reconstruction" phase became a nightmare. The Trap: They demanded a 70% deposit before they would even give me a quote, a timeline, or a walkthrough. The Fees: When I refused to pay for an invisible plan, they charged me massive cancellation feejust to walk away. The contract signed during the mitigation process gives them the ability to conduct your reconstruction on their timeline. The Threats: They claimed they could sue me for "lost profits" because I wouldn't agree to their unreasonable terms.
