I hadn't been there before so I said I could take a cut, shave and eyebrow trim from anyone. The gentleman that greeted me was in the middle of a cut, so he asked me what I wanted and quickly called up another barber from the bench and gave them what kind of haircut I had requested in spanish. During my cut I was trying to clarify the length and specifics of my haircut but the barber didn't speak english...like NOT ONE single word.... So I was stuck with whatever interpretation he got from the spanish instructions he received from when I walked in. When the haircut was done I asked how much I owed. He shuffled around to a couple of the other guys and came back and sheepishly said what sounded like $50. I clarified $50?? and he shook his head. I paid it and walked. The haircut was certainly not worth $50. When combing my hair the next day, the sides had some parts that were awkwardly sticking up when I gelled my hair. The eyebrows were trimmed by maybe a couple hairs with no cleanup in between brows and had to be properly done (and paid for again) a couple days after. The whole visit was uncomfortable and not what Id hope for. Wont return.

Trying to find a new barber near my new home. This one is close so I thought it'd give it a try…read more It's a little pricey for a basic men's haircut but the location is convenient and the ability to make an appointment helpful. I arrived about 10 minutes early and was seated at my appointment time. From there, however, everything went south and the barber refused to give me a haircut. So here's what happened. My hair is about as simple as one can get. I've worn it the same way since I left active duty in the Navy. Short and parted on the side. When asked what I wanted, I repeated the same info I've shared with barbers hundreds if not thousands of times. "Take it up off my ears and taper it in the back. A little off the top too please. I have a cowlick there in the front that comes in when it gets a little long, so please remove that.. It's pretty long right now" My barber immediately started questioning me on how many inches I wanted cut. My response was an honest, i don't know, i think my other barber used a number 2 but I don't really know. So then he proceeds to ask me if I want buzz cut claiming that's a number 2... Well no... I don't what a buzz cut. Maybe you could just start cutting and then if it's not short enough I'll let you know and you can take more? His response which is now bordering on rude... I can't do that... We're on a tight schedule. So I said I don't really know how many inches and then I asked him if he could still do this? At that point he said no and rudely pulled the smock off of me and my non haircut was over. So tomorrow I drive across town to my usual guy. Where he'll get the same instructions as above and I'll get the same haircut I normally get. For about $10 less too although that's my usual tip. So I can't comment on the haircut because I didn't get one. But I can comment on the rudeness and attitude I received at this business And if they respond here claiming otherwise, I would just remind them who's right when it comes to customers. This is only the third review for this place which I assume is new. Still time to turn it around, but I know I won't be back.

Blue Suede is run by Barber Buster. You can easily make an appointment via his website. You'll receive both an email confirmation and text confirmation. You also get a few reminders prior to your appointment via text, which is helpful. He's located in a newer plaza off of 210, which includes restaurants Nori and Poppy's. His location is in Parlor lofts, where there are dozens of other hair, nail, boutique booths and shops available. His loft is clean and looks like what you'd think a barber shop to look like. Anytime we've seen Buster he's kind, talkative, and efficient. I normally bring him a picture of what I want for my kiddo and he delivers. He even has lollipops for the kiddos after their haircut. Normally we're in and out in about 20 minutes. His prices are very reasonable and he does a great job.
