Trying to find a new barber near my new home. This one is close so I thought it'd give it a try…read more It's a little pricey for a basic men's haircut but the location is convenient and the ability to make an appointment helpful. I arrived about 10 minutes early and was seated at my appointment time. From there, however, everything went south and the barber refused to give me a haircut. So here's what happened. My hair is about as simple as one can get. I've worn it the same way since I left active duty in the Navy. Short and parted on the side. When asked what I wanted, I repeated the same info I've shared with barbers hundreds if not thousands of times. "Take it up off my ears and taper it in the back. A little off the top too please. I have a cowlick there in the front that comes in when it gets a little long, so please remove that.. It's pretty long right now" My barber immediately started questioning me on how many inches I wanted cut. My response was an honest, i don't know, i think my other barber used a number 2 but I don't really know. So then he proceeds to ask me if I want buzz cut claiming that's a number 2... Well no... I don't what a buzz cut. Maybe you could just start cutting and then if it's not short enough I'll let you know and you can take more? His response which is now bordering on rude... I can't do that... We're on a tight schedule. So I said I don't really know how many inches and then I asked him if he could still do this? At that point he said no and rudely pulled the smock off of me and my non haircut was over. So tomorrow I drive across town to my usual guy. Where he'll get the same instructions as above and I'll get the same haircut I normally get. For about $10 less too although that's my usual tip. So I can't comment on the haircut because I didn't get one. But I can comment on the rudeness and attitude I received at this business And if they respond here claiming otherwise, I would just remind them who's right when it comes to customers. This is only the third review for this place which I assume is new. Still time to turn it around, but I know I won't be back.

I don't always feel comfortable at a barbershop, but she made me feel right at home. She offered complimentary drinks, and welcomed walk-in's. She even provided me with some great advice to keep my hair looking great. As we were chatting during the visit, I almost forgot I was getting my hair cut- that's how cool the vibe is there, and how talented she is. I appreciated all the extra services with the tea tree scent on the warm towels, making sure I didn't forget my glasses which I normally do, and even helping me trim up my nose hairs. I was surprised I had so many - gross, but I'm glad she took care of it. Every single staff member was completely helpful and friendly as well. Blue Suede is run by Barber Buster. You can easily make an appointment via his website. You'll receive both an email confirmation and text confirmation. You also get a few reminders prior to your appointment via text, which is helpful. He's located in a newer plaza off of 210, which includes restaurants Nori and Poppy's. His location is in Parlor lofts, where there are dozens of other hair, nail, boutique booths and shops available. His loft is clean and looks like what you'd think a barber shop to look like. Anytime we've seen Buster he's kind, talkative, and efficient. I normally bring him a picture of what I want for my kiddo and he delivers. He even has lollipops for the kiddos after their haircut. Normally we're in and out in about 20 minutes. His prices are very reasonable and he does a great job.

The second I walked into V's Barbershop, I knew I had made the right choice. The shop is super clean, has a great atmosphere, and the receptionist was incredibly welcoming. My barber, Antonio, was awesome. Come to find out, he's actually from my hometown... what are the odds? We talked the entire haircut, made me feel comfortable, and gave me one of the best cuts I've had in a long time.
