The stylist happily changed one to Cartoon Network at my oldest son's request. There were multiple stylists available at 4 on a weekday afternoon. They were able to do both boys at the same time. They asked for input before starting, and followed my son't request to leave it long on the front like he likes it. Kid's haircuts are only $12. Adults are $16, I think. The interior is attractively decorated, with polished marble flooring and antique accent pieces. There is an old fashioned Coca Cola cooler with ice cold glass bottles of Coke, just like my Great Aunt Frances used to have in her beauty parlor in Prosperity, South Carolina. You put your dollar in an antique wooden box that says "Coke $1, honor system." Red rocking chairs outside are attractive and inviting. Kind of makes you want to "come and sit a spell." Overall, we had a good experience at this barber shop, and will consider returning. It was a good price for a standard haircut.

It's Monday. My regular barber is closed, so I thought I'd try this place because it was open…read more Parking here is kind of hard, but there was a spot in front. I waked in about 3:15pm and there was someone else in a chair but I thought it's no big deal, because I'm next. I had a 4pm appointment so plenty of time. After 15 minutes someone else walks in. At this point, I'm informed this new customer has an appointment and will go after the existing customer who is still in the chair getting his haircut. So back of the line for me. I didn't actually get my hair cut, because I don't have all day to hope I can get squeezed in. Here's a customer service tip. If you take appointments and you have one coming soon, let the customer who just walked in off the street that doesn't have an appointment know they're not actually next in line. Don't let them waste valuable time waiting for a hair cut only to learn that you're only going to cut their hair if a slot opens up. It's rude and disrespectful and worth one star.

We checked in, we then waited in the back waiting area, and each grabbed a water from the refrigerator. We waited on a few minutes and then MJ came and got us. I explained what we were looking for, and she went to work. Fifteen minutes later, he looked like a new boy, clean cut and ready to tackle the world. We'll be back.

Super nice guy but unfortunately the fade was not blended and he cut off quite a bit more off the top and it was choppy and uneven. Red flag was when he used clippers instead of scissors to take off length from the top - definitely had to wear a hat the last couple of days to wait for this to grow out. The shop itself was nice but the skill was just not at the level I'm used to, and I'm pretty picky when it comes to my fades. Needless to say, Ive already scheduled an appointment to see my barber back home for Saturday to have him attempt to remedy this botched cut.
