As we walked in and were seated though, we were put in a narrow back room with no windows and an old noisy A/C unit. Somewhat claustrophobic. The table itself was sticky, and had a wire bread basket that had two small ramekins with pesto in one, and what we were told was a tomato bruschetta in the other. The tomatoes looked old from the refrigerator with a hazy gray sheen. When bread finally came, it was like a supermarket bread that was heated in the oven, but cold, so it seamed stale. Got up the nerve to try the bruschetta which was overpowered with parmesan. The pesto was overpowered with garlic and there was only one pignoli nut visible in the dish. The server was a very nice young woman. Polite, attentive. They had the policy of waiting until everyone was ready to place a full order with appetizers and mains which was fine, but it took about 45 minutes before the appetizers came out. The appetizers I tasted were good. A caprese salad with olive oil, pesto and a balsamic reduction. Fried Calamari cut in large pieces, but cooked tender. Then came the mains. My meat lasagna was dry on the inside with little or no sauce. It tasted as if it had been frozen previously, The ladle of sauce was not enough to freshen it up, and the cheese on top was burned. My younger son got gnocchi with pesto that arrived looking more like a pesto soup swimming with oil. I lived in NY for 60 years, worked ten years in restaurants through high school and college, and married into an italian family. I've never seen pesto like this. The gnocchi itself was dense and chewy. Not soft and pillowy like it should have been. My wife had abgel hair pasta with shrimp in a fresh tomato sauce. This they got somewhat right. The shrimp was actually cooked just right, the sauce was good, but still a little heavy on parmesan cheese, and some of the pasta was stuck together, so it didn't cook properly.. Overall, it was very disappointing and overpriced for what came out of the kitchen. Definitely will not be going back. As far as the 5 star reviews go, maybe we went on a night that was too busy for the kitchen, or maybe these were friends and family trying to help out and prop up a mediocre experience. Our local Pizzaria does better and for much less $$$.

Long story short, this particular pizzeria owes me a pie. I finally called them to make me that pie and wanted to be delivered to Tennersville Police Department. Since they do not deliver I had made arrangements for my friend Lobster to pick it up. He unfortunately failed me, and in return, I had called Tennersville police dept to arrange the pick up but was told by the secretary that she will not be able to have her officers to pick up that pie. So then I called my very own 940 Police Department and they picked it up (hopefully)... TBA! A day later I had called pizzeria to confirm if everything went smooth, in return, they blocked my number. Therefore I cannot get in contact with them. So this morning I called Mount regional police department and expecting a call from them at 3 PM to find out if they got the pie. I had also contacted the owner of pizzeria by text message and I do not have a reply to which made me believe I was blocked by her as well. Anyways, I tried to get in touch with Mama Maria via fb but could not find them, therefore, it left me no choice but to do a yelp review in hopes this restaurant will see this and get back to me to let me know if all went smooth with a pickup. We have also had bad service, they have seated us 2x and forgot us, and sometimes dont greet you when you come in so you are just standing there looking at them; however, the food is very good! The Pizza is like an 7-8, but the salads are awesome and huge and dinners and garlic knots are 10s! Im getting Chef salad there tonight!!! The smell of the pizzas was great on the way back to our rental. When we got home, it was dive right in. Great thinner crust with good cheese and sauce. Very enjoyable. Can't say anything bad about Brother Bruno's Pizza. It appeared clean, the food tasted good (we only had the pizza), and they were fast although they were not busy with other customers.
