Marc's team is one of the best I've ever met. I went in for an educational piece since I wasn't looking to buy now but then he sold me. He even found out that I qualified or additional tax benefit! I'm a first time buyer and I had no idea what I was doing until I sat down and talked with Marc. He wasn't pushy at all, it was just to see what I could afford and what the going rate was. I saw their acceptance rate was pretty high (which is difficult in this market since everyone's buying cash)! It worked out for me since I got accepted very quickly when there were other offers on the table! I submitted the required paper work which was super easy to do. Melissa, Albert, and team was fantastic. If i had any questions they would reach out to me and answer all my questions and concerns! The paper work was super easy and they gave me a little summary of things to sent me to help me understand better as well. Overall the experience was fantastic. They will do an annual review with you around your purchase date to see if that's still the right loan for you! If you're paying PMI they'll see how much your place is worth and if it's time to remove off PMI. I've heard stories on how most lenders just leave it so they can collect the extra money, but not Marc's team! If you were scared like me and don't know what you're doing. Just go! it's 1 hour and you'll feel like a family member is helping you out WITH all the right knowledge and guidance. No pressure at all, they just arm you with knowledge so you're prepared when you're actually ready to purchase! Let's start with my initial decision to go with Marc Bui at iMortgage in Newport Beach California. He has been providing profession mortgage loans for 20 years. This would be my 3rd transaction with Marc Bui. He and his office staff Albert Ngo was always so helpful with getting us prepared for the required documents that were needed to process the loan. This 3rd transaction, we had purchased a new build and there were about 5 other buyers who's homes were release the same day and were due to close at the same time we were. It is such a great thing to have as bragging rights to be able to say we moved in before anyone due to Marc's extreme dedication to deliver and have the loan fund first and on time (according to the builders). For the shop itself, the iMortgage office is very nice in appearance and was very modern looking. It was great to walk into a professional setting when I had to hand Marc some documents. It was a good first impression on the building. When buying or refinancing I am sure you think about the rates. We got a great rate from Marc. We were able to lock in the rate early in our process in case the rates went up. That saved us some money. Ask Marc if this option still is available and is applicable for you. Does yelp have a 6th star to give to Marc and the iMortgage team? I'd give it to them! I have recommended Marc in the past, I will continue to recommend him. The loan went so swiftly that my parents should be using him soon. If you are a new home buyer, you'll love Marc. We actually didn't find Marc until after being turned off by several other lenders I won't name but rhyme with chmase and fells wargo, among others. I am sooo glad we found Marc tho. From the moment my wife and I sat with him we felt very comfortable. He will answer any question you have and make sure you understand the process. We closed escrow Dec 24...YES, xmas eve. As you might imagine we were nervous we wouldn't close due to the holidays. Marc and his team were on top of it tho. They pushed hard on their end to get all documentation to escrow ahead of time. Leading up to closing week he called me with weekly updates and on the week of closing we spoke pretty much every day. I can't emphasize enough how important it is to be able to get a hold of your lender in the last few days of escrow. Talk about stressful times. I just closed escrow and wanted to write a review of my smooth experience with this team. I consulted with 2 different lenders that were recommended by my agent before I chose this team. I ended up going with this team due to a tax credit program they offered first time home buyers. I was told lenders rarely do this program because it takes some work and they do not get anything for it. Even the other lender seemed hesitant about it when I asked him. Marc Bui's team is super friendly and informative. Every teammate treated me like their only client and were always available. I actually almost had 2 full experiences with them because I went into escrow on one property but backed out of escrow 10 days in. One day I reached out and asked if they could run numbers on two properties I was about to see and they did it that same night! It was a good thing too because I quickly realized one property was out of my league so I didn't waste my time. I ended up buying the other property and received a GREAT rate (they locked in that great rate both times actually)! They have a nice little online link they send you that breaks out all the numbers. Marc Bui even called me for a post escrow discussion, which I heard is really rare for lenders to do. He gave me some great info and tools for home owning and let me know their post closing agent would be in touch with regular check-ins to help with me with things like estate planning, and letting me know if rates have dropped for a possible refi.
