The worker did ask how spicy I wanted the tofu soup, and I do think medium is the best authentic flavor as I once got it mild and the flavor profile was not as strong. This place is great for big parties. The parking can be a little busy as it is in the corner for the start of Mira Mesa boulevard. The temperature inside the restaurant can get a little toasty at times. The workers have always been so attentive and the sides (banchan) is one of my favorites that I have been to! I do recommend coming here and trying their various combos, including their lunch specials!

Kimchi mandu soup was tasty... but the mandu was cooked much earlier in the process and served seperate.. so it ends up being chewy from getting cold (still palatable). Spicy pork was ok.. LA galbi was ok but small portion for the price. Overall the food was tasty and will satisfy the hankering for soon dubu or korean food. Medium was barely spicy so if you like spicy don't be afraid to take it to the top. I like that they offer boricha (barely tea).. and it makes for better nooringji (burnt rice soup that they make a cute place card for). They also have the all famous "service button" which is fun for any busy restaurant (and boy were they busy!!). Service was good overall and the place is designed with tasteful call back to LA eateries I miss dearly. Overall a solid 4.5 for their performance during early stages of opening. We ordered (and enjoyed) three dishes: #1 Bulgogi Sliced Beef (5/5 $18); #2 Bulgogi Sliced Pork (5/5 $17); #19 Japchae (5/5 $14). Bulgogi is a popular Korean BBQ dish featuring thinly sliced (or chopped) meat marinated in a sweet, savory, and often spicy, gochujang-based sauce, then stir-fried or grilled with vegetables. Japchae is another popular Korean dish, made from sweet potato glass noodles, stir-fried with beef and vegetables. Service at the counter was excellent ... and patient with our questions. And, our order was brought out to our table. The menu might look small, but the experience is excellent. We'll definitely be back!

I also enjoyed my yellow curry with vegetables at a level five heat, and even their naan was delicious. Even with a glass of wine and a Thai tea, we ordered one more dish with White Lotus and the bill came out to under $85.
