I was looking for a dentist that could remove my mercury filling safely, and was happy to find that they use the Safe Mercury Amalgam Removal Technique (SMART), which they did superbly well. I had my blood mercury levels measured before and after the procedure through my primary care doctor, and I was happy to see that my mercury levels dropped after the dentist removed my filling. I will say the new Dr. Mamak and her hygienist are wonderful and attentive. However, the front desk girl is so rude and cold (except for Bambi, love her). My first exam here was great , scheduling was very easy and the office is very clean and cozy. I had x-rays done and a cleaning and each staff member made sure I was comfortable the entire time through each process. The hygienist was very nice and personable and talked to me the whole time which made it easier not to concentrate on pain & made the time go by faster. I appreciated this as every other dentist I've been too never really talk to you they just do the work and that's it. My mouth felt a million times better after the cleaning and I appreciated the time and patience the hygienist took on me. Dr. Saffarpour seems to be very knowledgeable in her practice. I will preface this with the fact that I haven't been to the dentist in over 3 years. I reached out to Dr. Saffarpour for a consultation on sleep apnea. She is very smart, attentive, and is keenly aware of how the jaws, tongue, teeth, and the body as a whole develop and function as one system. She quickly validated all the things I was worried about: my tongue tie, bruxism (teeth grinding), snoring, and drowsiness. I will soon begin the journey of improving my case of obstructive sleep apnea with the Vivos system. I also got a couple fillings done here. Dr. Saffarpour offers laser dentistry. I enjoyed the laser a lot more because there are no shots required. There is a mild cold sensation that I felt towards the end of the treatment but it sure outweighs the shot and drill. If you are afraid of getting shots, definitely opt for the laser! The office is also clean and inviting. The staff are very friendly as well! read more

I came to New Earth for a check up after years of putting off my dental hygene due to the pandemic. Thier office is extremely nice and fancy, i felt comfortable in the waiting room. Dental assistant was nice, taking my blood pressure and putting on a massage chair while the dentist checked out my teeth. All in all great experience with staff and environment, but there were a few things that irked me: 1) thier schedule is so backed up it takes almost a month to see them again. 2) they are really expensive. 3) they tack on unecessary things like a 3D xray even though they did regular xrays. 4) the previous office person wasnt very responsive when i asked for documents, i had to ask three times and let the doctor know before a more responsive person took over, they were very responsive when I asked for xrays however. I don't think ill be coming back here, nice place & people are nice but the wait time and prices are a turn off. read more

This review is pertaining to trying to get an estimate of a procedure (deep cleaning) in hopes of booking an appointment. Very rude receptionist. Refused to give an estimate or explain how the pricing works, even with good insurance. It is not helpful or transparent to people on a budget that need to get a few procedures done. ***update: I just got some of my silver fillings removed! Dr Saffarpour and her assistant both came in with their smocks, a gas mask, plastic glasses, with a plastic facial mask on top of that. I had oxygen tubes in my nose and there was another machine off to the side of me to suction the invisible vapors of the mercury as my fillings were being removed. They also opened the window to provide more air circulation in the room. It was very different. But if you think about it, if it takes all that to get your silver fillings removed, makes you think about how all the other dentists out there DON'T do any of that stuff at all! Makes you re-think just how safe things are being done. I can tell that Dr Saffarpour also takes her time to do honest work. She doesn't just look over my teeth quickly and tells me I have cavities just to get paid by the insurance company. Dr. Saffarpour and her staff are wonderful! They are all very friendly and inviting. Dr. Saffarpour has a calm and gentle personality and this transfers into how she works on your teeth and gums as well. She is knowledgeable, but more importantly knows how to communicate what she knows in a way that I can understand. She is also very attentive to me and straightforward in her answers. She asks questions on my eating and cleaning habits and will make suggestions based on my lifestyle and tools that I already use, not give some generic dental recommendations. The office is very clean. She has toys and a tv for movies in her waiting room, which is great for when I have to take my kids with me. She also has TVs in the procedure rooms so if you need to be distracted during a procedure they have a selection of shows and movies you can watch. But the most calming thing for me is the light covers that she has. So simple, but the sky blue and clouds on her light covers are very relaxing to me when I'm laying down and looking up at this for the time that I'm in the chair. Provided me with an Invisalign treatment from 2013 to 2015. Very poor experience with this dentist and her Invisalign service. She created multiple unnecessary spaces (between my teeth) that are unhealthy (food gets stuck between teeth) and visually undesirable. The spaces she created are inappropriate and irreparable. In addition, she significantly underestimated the time (2+ years instead of 1) and cost required. I had to continue the Invisalign treatment with an orthodontist and some of the spaces Dr. Saffarpour created unfortunately haven't disappeared. Overall, the goal of this treatment (set with her in 2013) hasn't been achieved by her and the damage is significant and irreparable (spaces between the teeth; wasted time). This service is unacceptable and unprofessional. Hence I consider it unfair to have paid for such treatment. Unlike another dentist which I had a bad experience before, Dr. Saffarpour treat patient with respect and no distance. I had a feeling that she is treating me like her families. She explain things in detail, even played a video to me in order to better understand the situation. What's more amazing, the price here is very reasonable. I told her staff that I do not have dental insurance, and she recommended me a dental discount plan. As a result, it saved me about 50% on tooth extraction. There is no any hidden fee that they will charge you after the treatment (unlike the clinic I had bad experience before). I am really amazed at their work and attitude. Dr. Saffarpour is, by far, the best dentist I've ever had. This is actually saying quite a lot given my age and history of moving frequently (often twice within one year). Anyway, I got her name off of an internet list of Mercury Free Dentists, as my main ambition was to have my mercury amalgam fillings removed safely and replaced by the safest filling alternative. She was the only dentist I called in the area that offered me a free consultation and her front office staffer was really, genuinely nice. So I made the appointment and Dr. Saffarpour was great at listening to my concerns, examining my teeth, and explaining what measures she takes to ensure everyone's health during amalgam removals (dental dam, oxygen, etc.). She also gave me a book on the topic by Tom McGuire, D.D.S. for free and was able to give me a very precise quote on the cost of the procedure. After my free consultation, I told Dr. Saffarpour I wanted to proceed with the removals and she had her staff calculate the exact price (to the penny) of how much it would cost me. In fact, they made a special call to me to check to see that I was okay with the price because they knew I had no dental insurance and a limited income. When I reviewed the new patient paper work they sent me home with, I was happy to see how interested she was in making sure that I had a good experience in her office. There were several questions such as "What if any problems have you had with prior dental experiences?" When I came in to her office for the removals, I was a bit harried and hadn't finished all of the paperwork. Her staff were kind and un-phased, telling me to take my time as they did prep work and got me settled in the chair. When my medication alarm went off just before the procedure, Dr. Saffarpour's dental assistant offered me a cup of water before I could think to ask for it. They also made sure I could use the restroom before the procedure, and never rushed me. Dr. Saffarpour used all the safety precautions she had described in the consultation. Because Dr. Saffarpour was interested in making this a good experience for me, her questions reminded me to tell her that I had had a bad experience where a dentist had continued to drill after I'd told him I hadn't had enough Novocaine and was in pain. To ensure that would not occur, she told me to raise my left hand if at anytime I wanted her to stop. Although she had numbed me very well prior to placing the dental dam, one of my teeth was more sensitive than the other and she indeed stopped when I raised my left hand. Then she asked me whether I wanted more anesthesia right away or would I prefer to wait-- she said she had about 90 more seconds of drilling left. There was no pressure to wait, but I chose to do so as the oxygen, dental dam, eye protectors, etc. were all already in place and the pain was relatively minor. I counted the seconds in my head and the drilling only took about 70 seconds. Then she gave me more anesthesia on that side. I never felt any other discomfort and throughout I could hear and comprehend her gentle instructions with regard to my head, mouth and tongue placement. She alerted me when the mercury had been completely removed and she was simply cleaning the surface of my teeth prior to putting in the new fillings. After she put in the new fillings (which did not hurt at all) she was very careful to shave them just so-- she checked my bite several times with each filling to ensure that the new fillings wouldn't in any way change my bite or feel rough in my mouth. All in all, a wonderful experience. I was especially happy to see how kind she was to her own staff and how well they worked together. I could tell she was a good employer and it was obvious that her staff held her in high esteem as well. Very refreshing! One of the nicest things was that Suzette, who runs the front desk, called me as I'd gotten to my car to tell me I'd left my lunch at the office. When I thanked her and said I'd walk back for it, she insisted on bringing it to me (two flights of stairs and across the parking lot) because she knew I'd been feeling ill (unrelated to the dentistry). How nice is that?!! I've since received a nice letter from Dr. Saffarpour thanking me for my business and letting me know that she is accepting new patients. When my mother complained about her dentist recently, I replied that she should really switch to Dr. Saffarpour. She is truly the best and I will make every effort to use her services in the future, should I need them, regardless of where I'm living next. read more
