South River Grind Coffee…read more Owner: Austin Hill The South River Grind is a charming Mobil coffee trailer nestled in the southern end of a gravel parking lot along the Sacramento River about 2 miles south of the Freeport bridge. This sweet coffee spot has the most excellent SF lattes. My favorite grind is simply a vanilla latte in a large cup. At the south river grind the coffee is delicious and the view of the river is relaxing and serene. There are a couple of picnic tables and extra seating along the planters. This is the best place to grab a cup if joe, watch the Sacramento river, and breathe.

Damian was very flexible to accommodate. He showed up on time, had the prepared food ready when we asked for it and food was very tasty. I'd categorize prices as "$$" (not "$$$$" as is stated for this company). Prices are on-par with good food truck ($10-$12). Honestly, any of the proteins you choose will be delicious and since I usually make it once they've started selling out of items I end up ordering whatever they have left. My family has had them cater multiple gatherings, and every single time it's been the highlight of the event. And yes, the hibachi show is fun. Yes, the professionalism is solid. But let's be real -- it's the food that separates them. I know people say hibachi is hibachi, but trust me... it's not. I love hibachi, and this is on another level. It took me right back to the first time I fell in love with it -- the flavor, the texture, the way everything is cooked and seasoned. It just hits different. And here's my advice -- don't wait until you have a big event to experience it. Track down their truck and go get a plate for yourself. Just make sure you get there early because there will be a line, and they will sell out. Also, check their Instagram before you go. If they're booked for a catering event, they won't be out, and you'll be stuck settling for something that's just... not this. Go try it. Then come back and tell me I was wrong. The staff was an hour early to set up, very friendly and professional. Food was amazing and so were their hibachi skills. It was so wonderful to see all our guests laughing and enjoying the show and food. People could not stop talking about it at Mass the next day, I'm positive we will have a bigger turn out next year! I cannot recommend this company enough!!!
