Terrible communication. If you ask a question, you will get different answers from the scale vs the…read moreoffice. Let me help everyone out - if your load is under $25 worth, you must tell them you will be back with more in a day/week/etc. to get above $25 total. Then you must bring more scrap to meet that goal. IF you do not do this, after a month they will consider it "recycling" ie you get nothing. This policy is not explained to you. You must intuit it from the stars? I have heard of other issues family members have had here with getting paid for their scrap but since I wasn't directly involved in those, I won't elaborate.

I as a Private Consumer today (5-21-2021) took my metals in for CASH but GOT ripped OFF!…read more I had house copper Wire, Cans (beer, pop cans) & Ferrous metals (magnetic) to bring after 5 year of collecting stuff. They said on the cash out ticket it was 140 LBS. BUT they DID NOT separate them (itemize per price) as I had Binned them. I see the weight was NOT correct either! They did not display the scales weight for the customer to see as it was weighed either... One of the employee's was at the scrape heap cutting wire and electrical cords off appliances & lamps, as these were items that were already scraped by other customers. it seemed abit weird,,, I also brought in a bag of wire that weighed at least 10+ lbs. and was NOT on this payout ticket either, the other employee weighed it then walked off with it! I did not get a price per lb. or get it listed on my payout ticket either!!! We got a total of $5.13 A check coming to us, later listed as per ton for (ferrous metals only)! No price for this either!!! I left, went to eat out, checked the metals Commodities on prices for Copper House wire @ 1.10lb Irony metals, (ferrous) @ 270Ton Cans, .28 cents per lb. WE basicly recycled, and did not get paid a fair market price for our scrap metals instead. The Staff seemed a bit out of touch as well. Not answering our general questions. Hmm Is this the truth or a scam? Hey don't take your 5 years worth of scrap, beer, pop cans, wire, or anything there. Ever!!!

Apparently they have a minimum load that the salesman we talked to over the phone didn't know about. He appologized for the mistake, but would not refund our money or let us dump additional loads. Be very careful so you don't get overcharged due to their poor communication.

Next time I'll make (actually, be out less) by just dropping it off for free and the WM recycle station. PS: I agree with the previous reviewer - the gal at the weigh-in was not nice at all.

You can never know when these folks will decide to scam you or when you will be delt with fairly. I have been scammed by this establishment more than not. They have quoted one thing, then on my way to the pay office after they take my load of aluminum to the metals building , they declare that they have to declassify my aluminum to a lower level of payout even though they were the one sorting my metals into their weigh bins and grading it. They also would pull "tare" weight out of their ass and say that my garbage bag that I had my aluminum cans in somehow had a tare weight of 2 pounds! A 13 gallon kitchen garbage can bag! WTF! Needless to say , I had issue with his little guess, but he just shewed me along, "there are people behind you , keep it movin". They also delivered a container to my property, I filled it, they took it and there's a long delay in giving us the weghts, tares, etc. We call and " ohhhh, we couldn't read what the weigh station clerk wrote down. Can't tell if it's an 11 or 17 ,so we'll get back to you". Weeks later, we finally here that the check is waiting at the office. I go to pick it up . They get the check and say "sign the pad" from behind bullet proof bank window. But I say I need to see what I am signing for. Dude hold up this check for $250! The container I filled to the top with steel. I was quoted $150 a ton for the steel and $150 for them to retrieve the container from my property. This tells me that somehow steel isn't actually heavy at all, even though this was a very hard task of loading this container to the top. Somehow, my 95 percent full container that was 8 feet tall only had about 2 and a half tons of steel. Anyways! On the check it says 7800lbs.WTF!!!!!!!!!! What happened to "we couldn't tell if it was an 11 or 17"?!!! An 11 nor a 17 look like 7800 ! Where is my fucking money?! And, and they charged me $300 for pickup! These people.... They owe me money and answers. You can't trust these people. These issues aren't the half of it. The say things like" the person who quoted you that last month, no longer works here". These people are SUS! Watch your back and document EVERYTHING! All the trust worthy folks that I had good encounters with are all absent.
