I was a happy client of Erickson Wealth for couple of years and the process seemed straightforward…read more For some reason I was dropped off as a client from the 2016 tax filing cycle. I filed my own extension and made three calls to re-initiate the process and file the return. I received an email that the reason why I haven't been contacted was probably because I have changed my home address or email. It was a strange excuse since that email reached me quite fine and my home address and phone numbers have not changed at all. I never got an answer back how to proceed with the filing following the email so I engaged another wealth management firm. Not sure about the reason for this recent drop of service. Maybe they got too busy with other clients or maybe my overall wealth volume with few properties and a small business is suddenly below the client threshold of Curtis Wealth.

This review is for Larry Garrett. I spent a lot of time…read morelooking for an attorney before my divorce. I knew it was going to be very difficult- basically no chance my ex was going to be reasonable. I was referred to Larry by a friend. He was one of a couple of attorneys who spent a meaningful amount of time with me without charging me for the consultation. I was convinced that I needed a tough attorney to deal with my ex. Larry made a case that he could be tough if necessary but my family's interests would be best served if he took the approach of being reasonable. As it turns out this was the right approach. Dealing with my ex ended up being much worse than I imagined- in ways that I didn't see coming. It would have been easy to try some hardball approach and maybe it would have even worked. However, knowing what I know now, it's clear that I wouldn't have come out with anything more than I did taking the reasonable negotiation approach. We took a hard stance a couple times as needed but only as needed and it was definitely the way to go. I didn't know it when I hired him but one of the most important attributes that I needed out of a family law attorney was having one that I felt like I could really talk to and actually trust; one that genuinely cared about me and my family. Larry explained things in a way that allowed me to think through my options, negotiate properly and end up with the best reasonable outcome. It's also worth mention that what he charged me was fair. I've had friends who had their attorney run the bill up on them. It can happen easily in a case where there's a lot of conflict. Larry kept the hours within reason- especially in light of how difficult my case was. One last item that tells you a little about him. My case needed to be done by the end of the year in order for my maintenance payments to be deductible. This would mean more money for me and my kids and indirectly even for my ex which will be good in the long run. Larry of course recognized this. He actually came home early from his Christmas holiday vacation with family on the east coast just to be here in time to get everything finalized. It would have been easy and understandable if he had just said "look I tried but we just couldn't get it done in time" but he didn't do that. He really does care. Btw, I read his reviews. I suspect that any sour grapes are probably from somebody who had an axe to grind- not legitimate. Larry and his staff are solid. Communication and follow-up was great. In fact, I'm pretty disorganized and they kept me on track.

She explained everything clearly, set realistic expectations, and fought hard on my behalf. Her responsiveness really stood out--she was always timely with calls and emails, which made a stressful situation much easier to navigate. In terms of cost, her pricing was fair and reasonable for the level of expertise, effort, and attention she provided. I felt the value of her work matched the investment. Beyond her legal skills, Reba was kind, patient, and genuinely caring throughout the entire process. I always felt supported and confident that I was in good hands. I highly recommend Reba at Weiss Law Firm to anyone in need of a knowledgeable, honest, and compassionate employment attorney.

Steve is the best, most knowledgeable attorney with whom I have ever worked and it's not even a close comparison. His logical reasoning was on point, his answers to questions were concise and helpful. I appreciated his efficient and effective work after he carefully listened to me and then reviewed the thousands of pages/documents in my case. He, and his paralegal Tasha, quite literally "saved the day". I could not have picked a better attorney and I was so thankful to have them represent me. I am in their debt forever.

In September 2022, I hired Steven J Fields to represent me in a difficult divorce. His hourly rate…read morewas $600 per hour, and the consultation fee is $600 per hour. I placed my trust in him and his paralegal. I began to wonder if I should in November 2022. In our first hearing - he did not file for child support properly; The Commissioner pointed it out. Steve told me later that he had always done it that way. Implying the commissioner was wrong. So, I asked when he would file again. Keep in mind. He knew my wife had left the family, I was working and raising 3 kids by myself. She was providing zero help. His response? 'you can't just file a motion for child support, it takes time and money.' Then later he told me that the reason he didn't file the initial motion correctly is that I was in a hurry, and he was trying to help me. So, our motion hearing March 2, 2023. Opposing counsel pointed out that Steve had not filed my financial declaration. Steve insisted that he had, that he had a receipt. But lo and behold, they were filled March 8th - 6 days after the hearing!!!! The hearing on March 22, 2023, did lead to an order for child support by my wife. There were several mistakes. He did not like being called out on them. In fact, when I asked why he had a hearing with my wife's lawyer to reschedule the trial he told me I was a difficult client. That his paralegal had asked him several times to fire me because I caused too much stress. When I was given my files - other client's information was mixed throughout. I am letting them know. When I asked for copies of emails Mr. Fields sent opposing counsel as I am now Pro Se (after Steve knew I was out of money he withdrew as my lawyer.) he told me he owns them - and would not provide them to me. I was billed over $30,000 by Mr. Fields and we had not gotten to mediation! I had asked him how much he felt I would need to have available to get through trial. I asked his paralegal several times for him to call me. I never received a response. Oh - my wife was directed to provide release of records. Steve and his paralegal decided to draft them. One big mistake - they had an incorrect birthdate, so I was charged several hundred dollars for records that came back with nothing. He told me that the birthdate issue was my wife's lawyers. No Steve - you included the originals with the wrong birthdate sent by your paralegal. I have them with your paralegals handwriting! There is so much more, and I am preparing a filing with the Washington State Bar Association. He knows. He didn't seem to care. Someone wrote that anyone looking should look elsewhere. I wish now that I had. Steve and his paralegal did a terrible job representing me and my children and he gave me the records to prove it. Steve did not prepare me for what to expect - wife filed for reconsideration and Steve was indignant when I asked him to explain if she could do that. Same when she filed a counter motion against my motion for child support. I never felt that he communicated with me as to what to expect.

From our first call, Alex had already read everything I'd sent him and thought about it. Throughout, Alex kept me up to date, building trust and explaining the strategy behind every move. When things felt terrifying I could confidently press ahead with this unflappable ally -- whether things looked hopeful or harrowing, he was coolheaded at every turn. Alex didn't just win my case. Alex Higgins cannot be recommended highly enough…read more From the moment you meet and talk with him, there is no doubt that you are working with someone who is intelligent, thoughtful and very skilled as a lawyer. He is highly organized and has an astute attention to detail yet doesn't get so lost in the details that he misses the broader picture. I never expected to find myself in a situation where I would need to find a lawyer. I'm not sure anyone really ever does. As a physician, I had no idea where to start and felt completely out of my element, until I met Alex and we reviewed the case. In our initial discussion, I immediately knew that Alex was someone I could trust. He was respectful and professional but also made it very clear he wasn't going to tell me what I wanted to hear. He was able to explain complicated law in a way that I could understand. During our meetings, it was clear that he was listening and had truly taken the time to understand the details. Never did I feel rushed or dismissed. I felt heard and taken care of like I imagine my patients want to be heard and taken care of. As my case progressed, Alex had the insight and professionalism to recommend that I continue my case with a more specialized firm instead of attempting to keep the work for himself and potentially do a lesser job. Regardless, even with the more specialized firm taking over my case, I continued to go back to Alex time and again with questions and concerns. I felt that his judgement and honesty could not be rivaled and it was comforting knowing Alex was still there. Ultimately, Alex and I decided to bring him back onto my case as co-counsel because I trusted his skill and expertise too much to not have him on the case. No one wants to go through this experience, but I feel incredibly lucky to have found Alex. It is in the rough times that the great people show themselves. Alex is one of the great ones out there.

Let me ask you. Could you live in Seattle in a comfortable apartment or house on $1,530 a month???…read moreNo way. But Tom Atwood put a plan for me together to do just that. What it means is, I have to embrace my poverty. Girls say, "I don't talk to broke!" and I am cool with that. I cannot have any credit any more. Mr. Atwood put a plan together for me that forgives all my credit debt (believe me, they have billions $$$) and allows for me to live indoors with minimal supplies. Mr. Atwood is an expert in this. I had no other choice in my transition to full time work as a chef than to a disabled veteran on less than half what I was making before. Chapter 13 bankruptcy makes sense rather than blowing off your creditors, because Chapter 13 show that you care enough to avoid the wolf creditors while being immune from collections under section 207 of the social security act. This means I will probably never be laid again, and I am cool with that. I love my private, boring life without a car, but I do have 100% coverage medical through the Veteran's administration. I realize that American women today won't talk to broke, and that's fine. A lot less to worry about. Mr. Atwood in specializes in putting plans for you that invalidate most debts and allows you to live without that heavy monkey on your back, with six different due dates and 28% interest. No more, I said, I want something with real teeth that will keep the wolf from my door, and I did it with Thomas Atwood, Attorney, who specializes in bankruptcy options. Much better options than just abandoning your accounts to collection agencies. BK chapter 7 or 13 has real teeth which prevents creditors from garnishing your paycheck or SSDI benefits, the latter of which is guaranteed with or without a bankruptcy. Trust Tom Atwood to advise you correctly and what is the best path to take. Top rated. A ++++
