Had him to represent me in a criminal hearing as a public defender. Was hardly available, never kept any of the promises he made, on one hearing I ended up with a random attorney attending without telling me and that other attorney almost knew nothing about my case to the extent that the ADA was telling a lot of misinformation to the court and when I tried to correct them, he shut me down. I ended up firing him but that didn't stop him from representing me in the following hearing against my wishes and got me a bench warrant!! He SHOULD NOT be allowed to practice law at all!!

All the references gave the guy shining reviews. And his price was great. At the point where the roof was 90% done and most of the payments to the roofer had been made I decided to checkout my suspicions that something was very wrong. The roof looked wrong. It was a metal roof and I could see places where there were holes in it. It took me quite awhile to find a Roof Inspector. This is a rare breed nowadays. the Inspector told me the entire roof would have to be ripped off and we'd have to start over. I felt so stupid. I had been duped again. The Inspector referred me to Ted Watts. I told him i was ready to give up since the bond would only cover a small percentage of what I lost. But Ted said he could get the bond even though it wasn't in his county. I received the bond check in the mail six months later. I just think he did a great job.

If you are going to work with Amy then do your own research and if you are confident in your strategy then insist on it. Don't just follow their recommendations...unless you are prepared to pay a BIG bill. They seem to be self-serving.

I paid a $10,000 retainer to begin working with the firm. During the first couple of weeks, they repeatedly misspelled my name and there seemed to be confusion internally about who was responsible for different parts of my case. I had to follow up multiple times just to get basic things moving. Communication throughout the process was frustrating. Different members of the team appeared to have different understandings of what was happening in my case, and I often felt like I had to repeat information several times. I kept extremely organized documentation and provided everything they asked for, but progress still felt slow and disorganized. Another issue was how communication was handled from a billing standpoint. Many emails came back filled with legal jargon that was difficult to understand, which meant I had to reply asking for clarification. Each of those back-and-forth responses was billed time. When we eventually went to court, I was disappointed with how the hearing went and how unprepared my attorney appeared. Afterward I was told the outcome wasn't what they expected. That particular process alone cost around $6,000. By the time everything was finished, about $20,000 had been billed and my situation was actually worse than when I started. My advice to anyone considering this firm would be to ask very detailed questions about communication, preparation, and expected costs before signing a retainer.

I got to pay for my lnew lawyer to research a case that was already research resulting in double dipping. Should have told me they were not able to help me with the specific needs of my case because medical staff issues and the nuances of the medical field is not what they do and then they will keep you to juice you for billable hours. Not at all happy and I feel like they could care less about me. I was just a dollar sign. If you can hire them on contingency or for a set retainer with % of settlement fine but do not pay out of pocket or they will run up those hours.

My wife hired him 4 months ago. In these 4 months, the lawyer was constantly delaying (he did not provide any deadlines upfront), answering emails after waiting for a week, and his paralegals were constantly sending us contract drafts with rough legal mistakes. My wife and I agreed on divorce terms and were ready just to sign everything and file papers with the court. And after 4 months of extremely sluggish work, she still doesn't even have an estimate, then the paperwork will be ready. We finally forced him to provide us final version of the contract (after a month of calls and emails), and signed it. But now, instead of filing papers with the court, the lawyer sent her an email with a demand to pay an additional $2.5k in fees just to move forward.
