I did not at any point this afternoon request a quote from this company (or any other company)while on the website as I have not moved into said house yet. I got a call at 9:30pm tonight from a number I didn't recognize so I declined it and sent to voicemail. Ten seconds later the same number calls me and I decline again. Ten seconds later the number calls me a third time so I pick up the phone thinking it must be some sort of emergency or serious situation for someone to be calling me 3 times in a row at 9:30pm. I pick up the phone and it is someone from Able Wood Floors. The representative literally says to me "Hi this is Able wood floors. You requested work on your floors or something??? Or what do you want? You know it costs me money every time I have to call you." Dumbfounded at the audacity, I explain that I was just poking around for budgeting and planning purchases and wasn't ready to hire (as I clearly indicated on the site). Given this, I said I was a little confused why someone was repeatedly calling ME at 9:30 AT NIGHT after being sent to voicemail twice to then tell me that I AM COSTING THEM MONEY for each time they're calling me. The woman's response was that "Yea well sorry about the 9:30 at night but I gotta call or I lose it with Home advisor. It's f*cking retarded. I'm about done with them I'm telling ya." After I restate I am not looking to hire right now she literally says "well when you're looking to hire keep me in mind." I AM F*CKING REELING RIGHT NOW IN DISBELIEF THAT THIS ACTUALLY HAPPENED. Yes, Abe Wood Floors, I am DEFINITELY going to hire you after you harass me on the phone at an unreasonable hour to then essentially scold me for "costing you" for every phone call. Are you calling from a pay phone? More importantly, are you high???? Thankfully, I've learned everything anyone needs to know about this joke of a company's professionalism without having to hire them and find out the hard way. Steer clear.

They put new wood in, and stained it the color I chose. They sanded down a few of the bedrooms that already had hardwood, and there is a clear discoloration in the wood surrounding the perimeter of the rooms. It's very noticeable. On top of that, I've never seen hardwoods that dent so easily (where the new wood was put in). I've dropped a cup in the kitchen and it put a huge dent in the floor. Everyday things that should not scuff up wood floors put dents in these floors. 1 year after installation my entire kitchen and living room look like absolute shit because we used these guys. The lead painter had 6 yrs, and the guys working with him didn't speak English and were very inexperienced. Besides the estimator, communication was lacking, never did what they said, when and blamed it on the weather. They tried to upsell everywhere. My home is stained and after power washing they said I needed to prime the entire house for an additional 1600). A door frame needed to be repaired an I pointed out a bunch of cedar shakes I wanted replaced. The door doesn't close properly because the job was done poorly and in addition to not replacing a bunch of shingles that should have been replaced, they cut them out around the old shingles, not slid under another 1200. There are drips everywhere, including on trim, on a roof above my door and on my deck, so sloppy. I love the color but I am not impressed by much on this job. They were a contractor not Elco, I could have hired someone with less overhead and saved money, but I wanted experience. I am so disappointed this review is 3 months late. I paid quite a bit, we shall see how long it lasts. We have always painted ourselves but the house is too tall. I would never use Elco again. The owner called me after I called him saying after all the issues did you not want to hear what I thought. The foreman was a joke, never met him even though he was supposed to be onsite until I told the estimator I had never spoken to him. I wish I never sent the final payment but I really just wanted them gone! They were here over a month because they hardly put a full day. I thought my feelings would have subsided but every day that I see 3 broken deck lights, a snapped solar light wire and 3 broken vinyl sleeve covers on the portico, I realize I should have withheld payment. Listen to your gut on this one, if only the estimator calls you back dump them!

The best decision I could have made to complete my home was choosing Perfect Touch Interiors. The…read morerelatively new owner Manuela Montaquila is extremely knowledgeable, professional, creative, patient, affordable, and genuine. After creating an open floor plan for our kitchen, dining, and living room, I was at a loss on how to proceed to achieve the look I wanted as well as address different sized windows and several doors. With Manuela's extensive interior design and window treatment knowledge, she presented the perfect solutions! She created design boards with fabrics, furniture, and accents complete with measurements, pricing, and where to purchase the furniture. With Manuela's guidance, I will purchase my furniture with confidence knowing it will be functional, proportional, durable, and beautifully styled. Manuela used different styles of window treatments with coordinating fabrics that gave a custom, elegant, and professional look using floor to ceiling double pleated drapes on my bay window, cornices for all of my doors to warm up the look, to the beautiful toppers in the dining and kitchen areas. The look is timeless, yet updated, and the quality is top notch. All of the window treatments are fully lined and would never be confused with store bought. I would have never been able to achieve that look on my own. Manuela is very personable, listened to figure out my style, and gave several choices that both met our wants and needs. I will definitely hire Manuela again!

I hired Perfect Touch to furnish my new home. After I placed large nonrefundable deposits, the…read moreformer owner told me that she was selling the company but would be there to finish my project. Shortly thereafter she became unavailable and a variety of staff came through including Manuela the new owner. Here are some examples of what we endured. The first item to arrive was the bedspread and dust ruffle which cost about $3000. The bed skirt was short by 4 inches and there was a large gap at the edges. It took two visits to get them to finally come out measure the bed skirt determine it was indeed not fabricated to their specifications and fix the problem. They sent various people out to measure my husbands closet for built in drawers and shelves. Each person had a differnent idea about the appropriate dimensions and the plans were scrapped three times by Perfect Touch. It took nearly 4 months to get the small project completed and multiple visits that took my time. Note that I didn't change my mind. They just couldn't agree on how to do things. I ordered bedside chests which cost about $7000 total. I had a written estimate. When it was time for them to be delivered they told me that it would be $500 more than the written estimate. I paid it. They recommended that I change the finish of the hardware on the chests. I agreed to this. I asked them to match the metallic finish elsewhere in the room. Instead of coming out and checking the color themselves they sent me an iPhone photo of a metallic piece of hardware against a cardboard backdrop. They said they didn't have time to come out and check the color themselves. I ordered a custom rug for the guest room at their suggestion, I approved their recommendation of a size and paid the deposit, then two other people came out and measured and they began to argue about the correct size. Almost a month went by while they argued without placing an order for the rug. I ordered custom table linens for well over $1000. They had to be redone because they were sewn incorrectly and bunched unattractively. They ordered the wrong bench for the foyer and it needed to be returned and exchanged. Finally, I had been assured that my project would be completed including decorative accessories to make everything look finished and polished. But when it came time to accessorize they told me "we don't make much on accessories." I had spent between $80,000 and $100,000. I took the first few errors in stride but I obviously grew frustrated as these episodes continued. Throughout the process, I found Manuela very difficult and defensive. I hired them to help me, to save time and to achieve a professional look. The entire process was very stressful. In the end my home was not finished and polished as I had hoped and I needed to find another decorator to finish what was left of my project.

The installer damaged several parts of our home on the day of installation. From scratching numerous walls while bringing the carpet in the house, to chipping and breaking several pieces of woodwork. When confronted the owner initially denied responsibility but soon changed his mind and accepted responsibility blaming some personal issues his installer was dealing with for the poor workmanship. He offered to send his son over to repair the damage. When I told him that was not acceptable and that he needed to have a professional repair the damage, he became very rude and reverted to denying responsibility. I chose to do the repairs myself instead of having to deal with this rude, unethical, incompetent company any further. Fastforward a year and the poor workmanship continues to show its face.
