I was at a hockey tournament on the East Side and decided to go here in between games. It was on a Sunday around 2pm. As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted by the host. As we start walking to the seating area a girl named ANDREA cane up and started arguing with the hostess about where she was seating us. She was being extremely rude not only to the hostess but to us. We are finally seated and this same girl ANDREA approaches our table a couple more times being rude and arguing about the seating situation and complaining to us that "there's no manger on duty." So obviously they were having issues with the "Table Assignments," which should have been handled out of view if the public. It made our party so uncomfortable that we wanted to leave. Unfortunately because of the time restraints from the hockey tournament, we didn't have time to start the whole process over. I do have to point out that a girl named HALEY ended up taken over our table and she was fabulous. read more

Are you into hanging out with people that have numerous DUI's and have been on probation for years? Then this is your bar! Every time I go there I hear people talking about how they have to drug test in the morning, and that their PO "F'ed" them over! I consider myself classy...most of the time. And this is not the crowd I want to run with. The food at best is mediocre. Never had a bad meal, but never anything to rave about. Typical bar burger and iceberg salads. The only thing I do like about this bar is the outside seating they have when it is warm out. Very cute patio and they have heaters for the cooler nights. Would I go here willing? Probably not, but if someone says they are going to this place I might take one for the team and show up for a bit. Prices are reasonable and nothing to really complain about. But lets just put it this way, the outside of place comes off as being nicer than the type of people it attracts. read more

Nice bar and restaurant conveniently located across the street from the hotel at which I was staying. Buzztime Trivia in the house which is always good, but they were having trouble with their Wi-Fi when I was there. I had a tasty cheese steak sandwich for dinner and a few beers served by the attractive bartender. There was definitely some local flavor here later in the evening as some of the regulars interacted among themselves giving brief glimpses into their complicated and seemingly tragic lives. read more

French Onion Soup was delicious! Pizza was yummy they even accommodated to our green olive request even though it wasn't on the menu. I liked the split bar/family area although the lighting in the low top family area was way way to bright for my taste so we chose the bar area instead. The music was kind of strange but management caught on quickly and switched it back to whatever sports update was on tv. Service was great we will definitely be returning when in the area to try some of the other traditional sounding food on the menu that people have been raving about. read more

I was almost turned away by the mediocre 3 1/2 star rating. This place deserves better. I grabbed some carry out here and it was an exceptional experience. Very friendly staff and quick. An excellent reuben and side of french onion soup around lunch time and ready in 10 minutes. I was acknowledged quickly upon entering and had my order not long after. The food hit the spot and was exactly what I had in mind. I could see how dining in may be a 4 star experience based on the atmosphere but my encounter was great. read more

I give this place 5 stars. I had dinner here the 1st night i came in to town. It was good. Then i had dinner some where else it was absolutely horrible food. So i came back to Malones cuz i knew what i had was already good. So ive been back a few times and it has been consistently good food now that i have tried a few different things. The service has been good too even when they are busy. So if youre from out of town and close. Give it a shot! read more

Group of 4 ladies, meeting for dinner and drinks after work. Service was very friendly and food was very fresh and great tasting. (2) ladies ordered the Polish platter (they loved it). (1) lady ordered a sandwich with fries (she said it was very good). I have been following a vegan diet since Jan 1st so I spoke to the manager and ask him if they could put together a nice salad for me with Romaine lettuce and lots of fresh veggies and he said, "yes we can do that for you". The server came out with a large bowl filled with Romaine / spring mix, red onions, green peppers, mild peppers, tomato and more. The manager stop by our table and ask if everything was ok and if we needed any thing. We left there full and very pleased in general. Thanks Malone's for awesome service and food. read more

Went for Mothers Day dinner, had a fab strawberry Margarita suggested by our waitress, soup was great, Shepards Pie is YUMMY, ribs were delish, daughter had Nachos & didn't care for them so we let the waitress know.... A few minutes later a lovely young lady came and took them off the check.... Now THATS great customer service !! Wait staff always attentive and friendly, bar atmosphere but kid friendly too ! Saw a few young ones enjoying their dinner as well !! Oh and the place is always spotless !!!! Going back soon !!!!! read more

Im sure this is a great place to drink with your friends but I would not recommend for dinner. Being a cook myself I'm normaly pretty understanding but it was almost like the chef doesn't even taste his own food. The chicken was dry on three dishes. My guess is it was microwaved. the soup tasted like stock salt and pepper. The app was really salty. Don't get me wrong it wasn't awefull but I would suggest stickin to burgers and fries. The fries were the best part of the meal. Service was good and the atmosphere was nice. Just not a place for a good dinner. read more

This place was surprisingly good for a late Saturday dinner. They have a good draft beer selection, and on this Saturday night they had a very good band. The boneless wings were quite tasty, and the Dublin chips were very good, too! I had been here before for after work drinks, but now I'll be back for dinner again, too! read more

I came here for lunch, not too many people in the place which surprised me as this place is beautiful on the inside for being a bar and grill. I did not have any drinks so I cannot comment on that but the food and service was excellent, I mean this is not your 5 star restaurant joint where the food is going to be the best you ever had , but if you are looking for decent priced good quality meal with the bonus of great service then this is the place to be. Both bathrooms were out of commission and smelled awful. I believe this is against OSHA standards for them to be open without having functioning bathrooms. Especially being a tavern where people are drinking. read more

Had the chili at Malones last night. Didn't want to eat too much. It was a good selection. Although it was more like soup, it was very good with just the right amount of spice. This restaurant is half bar, half restaurant. The atmosphere is warm and all the restaurant seats and bar stools were occupied. That's usually a good sign. The person I was with had the fajitas. They looked really good too. Fresh and nicely presented. read more

First time going to this place and I regret ever walking thru that door. Service was absolutely terrible. I asked for a bud light in an aluminum can and received a draft coors light, played keno and received my slip back after 3 draws already played and the worst part of my experience was the food. We took the food home to give to the dogs... I would not recommend this place to anyone and I will not be back ever. read more

I'm not exactly sure what the poor reviews of this place is about. I went here with my family of four. The waitress came right over and greeted us and took our drink orders. Soon after a different waitress came over and made sure that we were helped. The food here was amazing. Huge proportions that you will need a to-go box for. I highly recommend the French onion soup. Also the burgers are to die for. Everything is homemade, even the ranch. I love this place. It was my first time and I will be back. Highly recommend to anyone. read more

The Bartender the nice Mexican looking lady gets a 5 star. The food specials are okay. Many times they use wax paper for the food specials at night, the nachos. Too many times I tried to eat the nachos and I got caught eating the wax paper by accident. so cheap and flimsy. Pretty good people the couple times a year I visit. Has a healthy group of special ed adults who visit the establishment and are a good source of entertainment along with the notable drunks daily. good place, not too bad, not too great. read more

They have good food which is consistent, the staff is attentive which I liked, and they don't try to push anything on you. Friendly atmosphere. My only complaint is that there are days when it gets way too loud in there. Other than that, it's a great bar. read more

We had a team fundraising dinner. The staff was very well organized. They had a large wait staff for our group and had the bills tabulated very well, even though parents and athletes were seated at different tables. The food was great. Especially for pub style facilities. Great beer selection. We went on a Tuesday evening around 7:30PM, and when we got there they had an average amount of people in the restaurant, but when we left an hour later, they were quite busy. Stopped in and had dinner. The place was kind of an Irish theme sports bar. First thing you notice is all the tv sets. There must be 30 of them. Although I did see Shepard's Pie on the menu, I decided to go with an entre from the specials sheet. I spotted what they called Dublin chips on the menu so I ordered those as something to snack on while waiting for my meal. They came out hot with a dipping sauce. Nice bit of spice with a bit of a bite to it and a bit too salty...just the way I like em'. The sauce was a watery remolade mixed with thousand island dressing and seemed to go real well with the chips. I ordered the prime rib and must admit it was pretty good. I took a break from the chips to eat my salad which was just basic but crisp. The size of the prime rib seemed larger than the 12 oz indicated in the menu so I was pleased. It was drizzled with juice on top so I was skeptical it may have been over cooked, but it was nice and pink inside had good flavor and texture. It came with choice of potato and a veggie. I chose red skins and they came on separate plate sliced with green beans. I enjoyed my meal but the reason I had to give 3 stars instead of 4 is the waitress was so involved in conversations with co workers that she really did a lousy job. I had requested an ice water which never came out with my meal so I had to ask if I could get that ice water now. I drank it as I was eating and never got a refill. Even when a different waitress cleared away my salad dish, I was not given opportunity to get a refill. I really enjoy a touch of horse radish with my prime rib and wondered if they even had any. I was able to get the attention of my waitress and asked for some and she said oh yea ...did you want horsey sauce or real horse radish. So apparently they keep condiments hidden and do not readily offer them to customers. I thought she should have been more proactive in anticipating it may be something I would like and offer it up front. I even had to ask a different waitress for the bill when I finished who in turn tracked down my waitress. She finally came by and at that time noticing my empty water glass asked if I wanted some more water. I said not at this time just the bill. I could tell her interest at that time was in preserving her tip not really caring about me. While waiting for my bill another staff member came by to see if I wanted more water so I said no, I would have with my meal but it was not necessary now that I was leaving. So all in all not a bad place. If you wanted to watch a ball game it would be good with all the tv sets, decent food too. I just got a bad waitress so its luck of the draw. read more

I have always enjoyed Malone's for lunch and would definitely suggest it, but it was Saturday night and I had a taste for some pub grub and an ice cold beer. The place was busy so I took a seat at the bar where I was instantly greeted and given a draft beer list and told the specials. Had a tall Labatts which was ice cold and ordered the ribs on the bartenders recommendations. The food came out shorly and the cajun clam chowder was amazing! When my ribs came out they were covered in an incredible sauce and cooked perfectly. I ordered a full rack and took 1/3 home. I highly recommend this place if you like super service, cold beer and great food. read more

We've come here many times for dinner and drinks but this place has gone WAY downhill. My husband and I ordered salads with mixed greens and they came out all iceberg lettuce. The chicken tasted reheated and disgusting. We commented on the lettuce to our waitress and she went to "check on why". She didn't return for 20+ minutes. Someone who was apparently a manager quickly came by our table and asked "how's it going?" Without even pausing. When the waitress finally came back and we asked what happened, she commented that she sent her manager over. What a joke!! No offer to fix our dinners and total aversion by the manager to address the issue or even state she WAS a manager. I feel bad for our nervous waitress since she has such weak support from management. We won't be back. read more

Had lunch on Monday, my friends Salads were very good, large and tasty ingredients. Onion soup was VERY hot, but great once it cooled down. My cheese steak sandwich was good but the steak lacked any flavor. Service was great the staff worked tigether to take care of us as well as the 2 big parties that arrived about the same time.
