History
Established in 2004.
Chocolate has been crafted in Malmö since 1888, when Mazetti first started producing sweets in our historic factory. For decades, their iconic “Ögoncacao” became a staple in Swedish kitchens. While Mazetti eventually disappeared, the passion for chocolate remained.
In 2004, Malmö Chokladfabrik was born, reviving Malmö’s chocolate-making tradition with a fresh, modern approach. We blend heritage with innovation—our Malmö Master Blend is based on an old Mazetti recipe, while our award-winning bars push the boundaries of taste and sustainability.
Since our relaunch in 2016, we’ve won over 40 international awards and supplied chocolate to the Nobel Prize Banquet. We are committed to making chocolate that is not only world-class but also world-positive—organic, fairly traded, and crafted with care.

We love that our chocolate finds its way into the hands of talented Makers—baristas, pastry chefs, and ice cream artisans—who turn it into something extraordinary for people to enjoy. That connection, from our factory to the best cafés and kitchens, is what inspires us every day.
