They did a great repair on my vehicle, but I will never be back. Let me explain. No, there is too much. Let me sum up. MCC wants to charge more for labor than your insurance does. This results in the customer getting charged for the difference between their repair bill and what insurance covers. The problem with this is that MCC does not tell you or your insurance about this UNTIL your vehicle is finished and ready for pickup. "Hi, your car is ready, but you have to pay $125 out of pocket. This comes as a nasty surprise. It feels like extortion. For my vehicle, MCC had every opportunity to communicate this strange behavior. And it is strange. 12 other collision center in the region do not operate this way with insurance. MCC could have mentioned this payrate differential to my insurance when the claims adjuster sent over his paperwork. MCC could have told me about it any of the several times I called over 3 weeks to ask about my car. I know they have my email and number, they used them to reach me about other details. If you are expecting your insurance to pay to have your car repaired, go somewhere else. MCC is playing unpleasant games. There will be an unpleasant Gotcha moment at the end, where you are trapped. Are you going to fight the good fight? Do you want to also pay storage fees while your car sits longer on the MCC lot? Whether it's extortion or arrogance or a heinous lack of communication, my trust in the Malloy name is ruined, and now I doubt I could even buy my next car from them. read more

A local tire shop damaged a rocker panel molding on my 2017 car and they wanted me to take it to Malloy for the repair. The tire shop has an account with Malloy, this might be important later. I went to Malloy and got the estimate for the repair. I also had them price repainting the front bumper, unrelated to the rocket molding damage. Even though there was no damage to the front bumper itself, just paint problems, they wanted to replace the bumper entirely. That is just lazy. So they weren't doing that but I did schedule the repair of the rocker panel molding. They said it would take 2-3 days. I dropped the car off Sunday night for the Monday AM appointment. They have a key drop, which isn't really a key drop just a mail slot in the door. So when you drop your key fob though the fob hits the hard interior floor. Nice. The full 3 days pass and I don't hear anything. 4th day and still nothing. On Friday I call Malloy. They said it was ready Thursday, but instead of calling me they called the tire shop. Even though the tire shop has an account with them they need pay immediately before I can get my car. Malloy did not bother to call me to a) let me know the car was ready or even b) let me know they were having problem getting payment. So, they are now holding my car for ransom for a paltry $500 even though there is an account. Through this the staff was very rude about the situation. I get the payment straightened out and go to pick my car up. The paint match is good, but the car is covered in dust and what I believe is pine needles. My car was detailed 3 days prior to the drop off (the previous Friday). They hadn't even bothered to clean it. There were also streaks on the interior front windshield like they tried to clean that for some reason. I was unhappy with this but I needed the car back so I took it and left. Over the weekend I washed in and noticed that the front of the rocker panel was sticking out from the body a bit, which it wasn't doing before. I could push it back in with my hand but it would pop out again. Upon further inspection they had broke the front mounting post on the rocker panel. They didn't even try to repair it, just left it damaged. Since i noticed that I took a closer look at the rest of the work. I found that instead of installing the under vehicle splash shield over the under side of the molding they put the molding over the splash shield, so it bulges out at the bottom. They did this even though they could have simply taken a look at the other side, which is still as the factory installed it. So, to sum up they did the work improperly, were extremely rude, failed to notify me of payment issues (which aren't my problem), took too long, left the car dirty and damaged the part they were repairing. Complete failure in any aspect of their work. What a mess they created and now it needs to be redone. At this point I wish I had just left the damage the tire shop caused. read more

I dont know why only the people that want to complain leave reviews on Yelp for places like this, but that is obviously what has happened for Malloy Collision Center. If you have a good experience somewhere, review it too!! My car hit a deer far away from my home but near Winchester. I want able to drive it home so I found this place and had my Explorer towed there on a Sunday and I drove home without even talking to anyone there. Monday I heard from them, they had already heard from my Insurance, and they started work on my car. All I can say is that they communicated very well, they reached out to give me updates, and my car looks good as new. When I drove 90 minutes to pick up my repaired car the person in the office was super nice and made sure I was satisfied. You wont find much better than Malloy, even in the Washington DC area where I am from. Thanks Malloy! read more

After a major deer strike imploding the windshield and collapsing the roof, stopped to check on my vehicle to find it in plain view of all technicians at the entrance to the shop, with it raining inside my car, the destroyed windshield uncovered. I had requested by email, by phone, and in-person prior, that this not happen, it did anyway due to sheer carelessness. After $12K in repairs, to lift up a floor mat and see thick stacks of untouched accident and shop debris underneath all matts. Collision Center techs obviously could have cared less about quality control. Pointed out a heavy splotch of new paint on the roof of my reconstructed car to have the shop manager say it couldn't possibly be their doing when it was per an insurance adjuster, an expert. Serious integrity issues here. My freshly painted car was rolled out of the booth to be fully covered inside and outside with sanding debris from multiple surrounding projects. Industrial sealants and adhesives were applied all over the interior of my car resulting in concentrated, noxious fumes that were not permitted to escape. What harm was I exposed to and what were the exact sources of these noxious, concentrated fumes? I picked up my repaired car, exposed to all those chemical fumes, got stuck with glass in the fingers (same thing happened to Toyota Service Advisor!), and the got blasted with glass in the eyes and face with immediate, intense pain and inflammation of the eyes. The horror of repeatedly flushing my eyes in the shower in pain for an hour is indescribable. The owner of a third party body shop, an expert, commented there was no way his shop would return a car with glass dust all over the interior like mine and vents full of glass dust to be blasted into the customer's eyes like mine. He went on to point out and describe poor workmanship, and deposited glass particulates everywhere on the car's interior surfaces. Clear coat over dirt was pointed out by this expert. Again, glass debris everywhere brought reactions of shock and disbelief from this expert.. Even shards of glass in the door pulls just waiting to inflict more injury were pointed out. The list of quality control deficiencies are almost endless. It was so bad ERIE Insurance execs were to have discussions on removing Malloy Collision as a direct pay provider. ERIE Insurance emptied out their regional exec office THREE times to drive long distances due to quality control failures during the restoration of my vehicle. This was an ERIE executive with expert level body shop experience that came to Malloy Collision Center three times as he was so disturbed by repair failure events. The remaining focus of contention is the injury to my eyes and the pain and suffering, and why this happened, to prevent it happening again and injuring others. I was awarded short term disability over eye injury and medical treatments, triggered especially by the four steroid injections on 7/11: "We advised that our nurses reviewed the information received in the 125 pages of records and that we were able to approve your claim from 7/11/2022 to 8/1/2022 based on your eye condition being your disabling factor." Malloy Collision Center needs to own up to their mistakes. They replied they are looking into it yet refuse to provide their insurance info to make an injury claim read more

Upon dropping off my vehicle to the center, I was told to wait a month and a half until they could start working on it. Until then, I was told the parts would be ordered and everything should be set to go a week after drop off. Fast forward to the drop off date, 2 weeks go by and I hear nothing. When I went to check on the progress, I had seen exactly the same minor damage done without any replacement. After giving them multiple calls, they promised me it would be done by the end of the week (the 3rd week by now) because they had "forgotten to order the bumper" 2 months back. Eventually, the manager worked with me and decided to put it on over the weekend so I could have it before I headed back to college... that was 3 weeks ago and I still have not received the bumper. Very unimpressed with the promptness and organization of this company. The only positive comment I have is the work itself; professional and finished, but a month and a half overdue. read more

Excellent service and an excellent repair job on my Jeep to fix a bad underground parking lot wall scraping to the fender and bumper. Jesse explained the procedures and the costs (which were reasonable) to fix along with the amount of time it would take (estimate) and the option to be notified should there be additional fees for more work needed (nice touch). Certified, of course, and with a very professional work ethic folk here seem to have, this facility/operation made me feel more at ease as soon as I drove up to it (pretty big brick building too and very clean/organized inside and out). No worries if you can only drop off/pick up on the weekends because even though the Collision Center isn't open, you can still drop off your vehicle with instructions and can pick up from their dealership two doors down across the street. I HIGHLY recommend this establishment! read more

On December 7, 2020, our 'pride and joy' 2017 GMC Denali 3500 pickup was involved in an accident, causing over 14k worth of damage. The other person's insurance company (Erie) provided us with Malloy Collision Center as an approved repair center. We have had previous positive results with Malloy Chevrolet, so I contacted the Collision Shop, by dropping by and talking with them. I was not familiar with how any of this insurance was going to play out, so we needed a "go to person that knows about this whole process". Enter Amanda Alder, who is the very first person who met me as I stepped thru the front door of the business. I explained the above situation and that our truck was damaged. She took her time and answered all my questions, including how they work with the Erie insurance adjuster for any issues before, during and after the vehicle repair process. Upon my request, Amanda gave a 5-minute tour for me to see the various sections of the shop that our truck could be going to be repaired in. We had options and we made the carefully thought out decision to take our truck to Malloy Collision Center. Amanda had everything setup awaiting my wife, Sandy's arrival with the truck, including helping her with the Enterprise Rental Car (located next door). With the Collision Center's weekly status updates on the truck, and addressing our list of concerns, 40 days later our truck was done. Honestly, 40 days seems like a long time but considering the holiday season, during COVID, and considering the quantity of parts and labor hours needed to complete this significant repair, we considered this very reasonable. In conclusion, our truck was delivered as promised, on time. Body and paint work look amazing and beautiful. Literally perfect. These folks do amazing work, and I would highly recommend them to anyone. Amanda takes the time to work with customers like your vehicle is her personal vehicle and your concerns are her only concern. Amanda has an amazing way of making things happen and communication with her is simple and efficient as she always answers the phone. Amanda and her team provide the quality of service that deserve recognition and appreciation from all and notably your Malloy customers. Where to start , the best thing about this place is the people I came in contact with at this company were very nice . This is the second time I used this collision center for work on my vehicle after an accident The first time was in feb of 2017 after I was hit by a truck which damages the drivers side door and front panel .. They replaced the door and somehow managed NOT to see the very obvious difference between the drivers side door and passenger door which meant it had to go back for them to fix it also when driving the driver side window whistled ( letting air in ) while driving down the highway . I took it back again ( because it did not do that before the accident) to have them fix that . It never really was put back to the way it was before . About 8 weeks ago I was hit by an armored guard truck Which tore off the front bumper and engine shield and wires to a headlight . Silly me took it to Jim Stutzman Collision Center center ( again because the people were cool and figured I would give them a chance to redeem themselves) ..... dumb on my part . It took almost 6 weeks ( I was told because of waiting for parts ) I picked my car up a little after 5 pm so they were about to close and while driving hone I heard some horrible noises whenever I would turn in either direction or go over a bump . We got up under the car and MUCH to our surprise they used ZIP TIES to secure the engine shield because the one they tried to put on wasn't fitting right . There were places that screws were suppose to be only to have none there. The headlight wasn't put in correctly and we had to keep messing with it to make it run right . We asked them once again to look at the driver side door to try again to fix the problem from the previous accident only to see they adjusted in a way that it is now rubbing against another part of the car and rubbing paint off .. I had a mechanic and two auto body places look at it just to make sure I wasn't misunderstanding something . I asked them if zip ties were suppose to be used that way and they said absolutely not ... When I asked the manager at Jim stutzman the next day why I had those on my car he said they should t be ... So what about quality control , how I. The world would they allow that car to not only be fixed that way but for them to think it was ok and not say anything .. The zip ties will break they are attached to the engine for god sakes . I truly boggles my mind that a company would think that was acceptable work ... I took pictures and notified the insurance company that was paying for it about their work . I called me stutzman himself but only got his voicemail and left a message and I emailed ..... I have yet to hear back from the man . The insurance company said all they had to do was contact them if the aftermarket parts didn't fit right and they would have approved the use of different parts... We are returning the car tomorrow to allow them the chance to fixed their very very shady and poor work on my car . I'm not getting my hopes up .. My advice ? If you have to use them go over your car with a fine tooth car after the work because if they can send a car back to a customer in the condition I got mine back in they have and will do it again to someone else . read more

This is place is despicable. My wife hit a deer. Insurance wanted to take it here, which was fine with us. We just wanted the vehicle fixed. They gave the vehicle back to my wife (4 days after they said it would be done) she started driving down the road, it was cold, about 25 degrees. She turns the heat on, no heat. No fan. No nothing. This car isn't terribly old, only 7 years, less than 140k Miles. She turns around and takes it back. They say they didn't mess with any of the hvac on the vehicle, it must have been broken when we brought it in. Funny, seeing as how we've never had any issues with the heat or ac ever (even between the time she hit the deer and we got it to them) and the invoice stated work that they in fact did do on the hvac system. My wife calls insurance, they said take it back. They keep it for another couple days and give it back. Now Heat works but ac and fan does not. The auto heat accessory did not work at all and the fan blower did not work. Call insurance and take it back again. Malloy says they'll send it to The dealership for diagnostics. Still claiming they had nothing to do with it. They give it back. Ac and heat works but the auto temperature feature does not, and now the horn does not work. Upon calling the dealership Malloy claims they sent it to for diagnostics, we are told (by the dealership) there is no record of my wife's car being there, ever. After calling insurance....again......the insurance tells us to take it somewhere else. That's sad when the insurance company themselves say take it elsewhere. To this day the auto temperature feature still doesn't work correctly but everything else does. Insane, it's like they think you don't know you're own vehicle. We've had this vehicle since new, never any issues at all and they tried to convince us it was broke when we brought it in. Laughable. This place is completely untrustworthy and dishonest. Would have given "0" stars but unfortunately you cant do that. read more

Repair took longer than expected, but was because the supplier sent the wrong parts and had nothing to do with Stutzman. Once they realized my insurance wasn't reimbursing my rental car fee, they offered for me to use one of theirs for free, which I did. From my first contact with them until the very last, each person there was beyond friendly, responsive, knowledgeable, and super helpful. My preferred method of communication was by email and that's what they used, giving me updates on the progression of the repair. They fought with my insurance company so that they did their job as well. They took all the anxiety out of the process of repair that is present with other shops. I hope I never need body work again, but if I did, I would not hesitate to give them a call especially since their work is guaranteed for the life of the car. read more
