I felt that was too much as I had the similar job done by another Co. 2 years ago. The job at that time was around $150. I know prices have risen but, not that much. We called and were able to talk to a technician. He talked with us about the problem and gave us pricing for coming out on Sunday. He told us he would be here in about an hour and a half. And hour and a half later, he showed up. Very courteous and professional he got to work right away. Replaced some of the parts we had "fixed" with better parts without saying anything. He worked for about an hour, checked the system and verified that it was not still leaking and gave us a bio for exactly what he said it would be. Only three days in but no more problems and the fix looked very good quality. Highly recommend this company. We are actually going to have them come back out and fix different problem in the coming weeks.

Gary came out and gave it a look, and we determined the smart thing to do would be to just replace the valve which meant buying a new fixture as well. It took The Wife a little while to land on one, but once we had it, Gary came back out and did the replacement. Worth mentioning that Gary did not initially charge me for the first visit... but we squared up on the install. Gary is the real deal... an old school craftsman who knows all the tricks to getting the job done right without cutting corners, not to mention having a wicked sense of humor. Very ethical in his work practices and really competitive on pricing. He's now my go-to guy for plumbing needs

I needed to replace my main water line, which of course required digging a trench in the front…read moreyard. Maximum plumbing did the job quickly and at a reasonable price. The only problem I had with them was they told me they would send someone out the following week to clean up the yard. That never happened. I was left with deep ruts where they ran the backhoe. I also had several deep low spots and random high spots where they didn't fill the trench back in after replacing the water line. They also left several large roots laying around that they had dug up. I've been trying to clean up the mess myself so I can reseed, but that's not easy when you are a little old lady like me. Overall, I would recommend them for most jobs since they did a good job repairing the problem and did not overcharge for the work. Just don't expect a lot of follow-up once the job is done.

However, this time…read moreI felt pretty taken advantage of and when I complained, was only met with excuses, much like his response to another Yelp review. I had a leak in my shower, so asked for them to find it for me. They did find the leak and I authorized for them to rip out the shower to make sure they got it stopped, since I planned a bathroom remodel, anyway. I didn't hear from them again until I called after a $2100 charge hit my credit card! Apparently, the plumber he sent needed help carrying the shower panels and hauling debris, but instead of bringing in unskilled labor, charged me $150/hr each x 2 plumbers to haul debris! To make matters worse, they removed my perfectly functioning toilet, with no real explanation. Due to our contractor being busy, I knew it might be months before our remodel, so asked them to replace the toilet. They did return and replace the toilet, without additional charge (but didn't refund the amount I paid 2 plumbers to remove it and dispose of it). However, he installed it incorrectly, leading to a leak that is costing me thousands of dollars of damage downstairs from the toilet, since everything we put in the toilet ended up in the walls and ceiling downstairs! When I confronted Andrew and even provided pictures of the incorrectly installed toilet, he just defended his employee and made excuses. An apology and an offer to make it right would have gone a long way to fixing this issue. As it is, trust is lost. If a plumber can't even install a toilet correctly, what else will be done incorrectly? Then to not take responsibility? That shows lack of integrity.

He called the next day, early morning, I was no home. 17 phone calls in one morning. 3 days of playing phone tag with him I thought he showed up for payment, no more calls. I found out 4 days later he attempted to put a lien on my home for $70. He hadn't come back by. He contacted the home owners we're lease purchasing from. Quoted them $300 and said I hadn't paid and he was going to file a lien. The home owner is a licensed plumber and electrician. He agreed to pay $150. I had no clue he contacted them until 3 days later. They were furious he failed to tell them I had already paid half. Attempted to contact Ducketts several times to resolve the issue. After several attempts he finally called back, yelling and cussing, threatening to file harassment charges for "bothering" him. I asked why he overcharged my landlords and failed to mention I had paid half. He said "did you hand me the payment?" I said "I was at work, my husband have it to you". His response was " I don't know nothing about that" then hung up on me. Attempted to talk to him 2 more times, hid wife got on the phone and started cussing me out.
