So my hubby and I came to the Jesup area to attend a funeral. We found this spot on Air bnb. So here we go...
COVID:
None applicable as you do not come into contact with anyone here since everything is self checkin. You can come into contact with other guests, and so it's up to your personal preference
Location:
So this location, as I mentioned above, is self service. It was recently renovated in Dec 2020, and is located above JaJe resturant. Because everything is self checkin, you do not actually meet with anyone for checking in. You walk directly into the gate, and enter the code provided for the entry to the building and your room. This Inn is located directly located in the downtown Jesup area, and so within 5 mins of driving from resturants and all kinda of businesses. The area is very quiet, as it relates to the business of the DT area, but it is near an active railroad line. If that bothers you, something to consider. I personally had no issue with hearing the train.
Room(s)/Inside:
Lobby was super cute and the place smelled great. I thought it was a sweet little touch to have the snacks in the lobby with juices and water for the guests.
There are about 9 rooms in this Inn. Each room has its own little theme, and so are decorated a little different. We stayed in the Last Stop Lemon Drop room (see pics). The room was very nice, and this specific room was connected to the room next to us which may be helpful if a larger family or party. The rooms are separated by double doors like in connecting hotel rooms.
One thing to be mindful of, this specific room did not have a closest. It was a room and bathroom. Instead of a closet, there was a cute piece of furniture (pic) to hang your clothes and leave your bag on.
Price:
Pricing is standard as it would be for a regular hotel evening. If over $100 a night is ok with you, you should have no problem here. I think it was worth it. The prices range depending on the room and are noted on the site.
Service:
So they were pretty prompt on replying. We came on a Sunday. So when we checked in NO ONE was in the entire building. That can be kinda creepy in a small quiet town. Thankfully, someone else attending the funeral stayed there as well. The resturant was closed on Sunday and Monday, so again...an empty very lovely building.
They do not currently provide irons in the room, which was unfortunate. My husband did need to iron his shirt and we made the assumption of an iron being available. Thankfully he had a suit jacket.
Overall, I don't know when I would stay in Jesup again...but I would totally recommend staying there. It was very smooth going in and out. It did feel like I was moreso in my bedroom vs the coldness of an hotel. Please consider checking them out if you're in the area. Hopefully you will be there during a time the resturant is open. Online says it's pretty good. read more
