Legacy RV Resort is on the path to success! The sites are spacious, featuring full hookups, picnic table, and concrete pads for a comfortable stay. The resort also offers several bathhouses with private suites and laundry facilities--and they are immaculately clean. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel genuinely welcome. I was greeted like an old friend rather than just another customer. Noticing that I was traveling solo, the staff took the initiative to relocate me closer to the back of the resort near the facilities--a thoughtful gesture that I truly appreciated. They also provided helpful pamphlets and documents with information on local restaurants, activities in Darien, and things to do in the surrounding areas. The resort has exciting plans for expansion, including a pool, playground, fishing dock, trails, and more. I just hope the overnight prices remain reasonable as they grow! If I'm ever in the area again, this resort will definitely be my first choice!

Stopped for happy hour and date night dinner last week and really enjoyed it. We got a couple…read moredrinks including a lemon drop martini and old-fashioned and found them to be very nice at HH prices. The happy hour menu had some great food deals as well so we tried the Black and Blue Crostini and the Korean BBQ pork wings. Both were delicious. Good tender steak and 2 nice pieces of BBQ pork on the bone. We didn't want to eat too much because we had a dinner reservation. We got seated and ordered the date night menu which included an appetizer, two salads, 2 main course dishes of steak or salmon and two desserts PLUS a bottle of wine. The appetizer was pork potstickers which were also very good and we both chose Caesar over House salads. Salad very nice with a hint of anchovy. We both ordered the NY Strip for the main course which came with mashed potatoes and green beans. The steaks came out perfectly rare as we ordered. Great cuts of meat with little to no fat. We were full halfway through the meal so chose to take the rest home and take both desserts to go. Great deal for $80. I would definitely recommend trying this place. Nice quaint restaurant with nice views and seems like a local crowd vibe. Great happy hour and very high-quality food. Must try.

Beds moderate to slightly soft but supportive. The shower is actual tile and the shower head sprayer is generous and there is a wand for those hard to reach areas. The restaurant is like an upper class establishment. Full bar with a professional appeal.

Another hotel I made a last minute reservation for due to driving throughout our vacation and not…read moreknowing arrival times or how tired we would be. I searched for cheap, pet friendly hotels that were not poorly rated and this place was included so I booked it. We arrived late, probably close to 1:30am if I remember correctly. This exit off 95 had all hotel chains and restaurants. Everything was a ghost town by the time we arrived. That's okay because we already ate and just wanted to relax. Check in was easy and quick. The woman who assisted me was great. I was given our keys and went back to meet hubs and the pup. Hubs has this assumption that hotels are better if the doors to the rooms are located inside as opposed to outside the property. The entrances to the rooms were located inside so good so far. However, the door from the side of the hotel we went into was not locked like most hotels, where you have to swipe your key in order to open the door. No big deal here. We get to our room and you can tell it's pretty old. The room felt stale, if that makes sense lol. The refrigerator leaked water all over the floor and the door was open, probably because they were trying to defrost it? We collected our things from the car, made a drink, and relaxed. After chilling for a little bit, we got ready for bed. The beds were not bad. I think I paid $50 for the room so I really cannot complain about the accommodations. We woke up and were not sore from the beds so that is always a plus. I went to breakfast but it was nothing special. My only complaint was the bagels were stale. Coffee did it's job, the muffins were like everywhere else, hubs enjoyed the waffles, and the biscuits with sausage gravy were meh. Again, I appreciate any food included with my hotel room so I cannot complain. Overall, I would stay here again. Let me make it clear though for all the people out there who are very particular about their hotels-this is no Ritz but a decent place to stay to rest and relax. No shady characters either!

The Not so good- Upon entering the lot, the weeds growing out front were about 3' tall the grass was un mowed, all the outdoor landscape lighting was out even the entrance arrow sign was un lit, there were stray cats in numbers running about. Needless to say the first impression of this place had us considering driving on.....
