We stopped in as a part of a food tour with Alsaciette Food tour to learn about the cheese making process and taste some fresh cheese. An English speaking host walked us through the process for making Munster cheese from start to finish (around 20 minutes). Following his presentation we sat down and tasted about 8 cheeses from the mornings soft curds with spices, to various flavored cheeses to a dessert cheese with sugar and cherry brandy. I spied a blue cheese from Romandie, a really potent Vacherin, goat and sheeps cheeses and, tis the season, raclette and fondue cheeses. This place also stocks beans from a new coffee roaster, Cococoro, located just down the road in Kreis 3. Wine, beer, among a few other things, are all neatly arranged for one's perusal. This cosy joint is a must-visit, when in town.
